( 20 weeks pregnant )
𝑻𝑶𝑫𝑨𝒀 is the day Josh and I find out the sex of the baby. Thankfully I'm past the miscarriage stage of pregnancy. Josh and I agreed that we wanted to know the sex of the baby, mostly because we want to be prepared and we can buy clothes for the baby, but it's also just nice to know. Everyone wanted to come with us to find out but everyone in a small room together not a good idea, so we're meeting them at our apartment later on to tell them all. Even Josh and my parents came up because they wanted to know the sex of the baby. It's great how supportive everyone is
"Ready to find out?" Josh asked
I nod and we make our way to the doctor's office. Josh and I are also supposed to be going shopping for the rest of the baby stuff once we know if it's a boy or a girl. Josh and I have been keeping this jar called baby money so we're buying everything with that we put half our wages in we get from work and any tips as well.
I don't really have a preference on the gender of our little one, but I know Josh really wants a boy. I guess a little boy would be cute, but a girl would be adorable too.

The two of us walked into the examination room and I lay down on the table, and get the gel spread on my belly.
"What are you two hoping for today?" Dr. Gallagher asked
"Well, I know this guy wants a boy, but we'll be happy as long as it's healthy." I said
I squeeze Josh's hand. He laughs and kisses my forehead. Dr. Gallagher smiles.
"Well-it looks like Josh's getting what he wants! It's a boy." Dr. Gallagher said
He fist pumps and kisses me full on the lips. I giggle into the kiss and put my hands on either side of his head, pulling him deeper into my lips.
"I'd like to see you again at 24 weeks. Have a great day!" Dr. Gallagher said
Dr. Gallagher grins and shakes Josh's hand before letting us go.
"Come on I've got like twenty texts from just Riles telling us to hurry up." Josh said
I chuckle and we make our way to our place.
"You happy?" Josh asked
He wraps his arm around my shoulder as I look at the ultrasound.
"Kinda hard not to be." I said
I smile.
"He looks so cute." I said, referring to the ultrasound
Josh kisses my head.
"I'm sure he'll be just like you. And if so, God help us." Josh said
I slap his chest as he laughs.

We arrive at our place and we walk inside, seeing everyone there. Immediately Riley runs over, taking the ultrasound out of my hand and they all gather around it.
"That looks like a girl." Riley said
"No way, it's a boy." Maya said
They all debate, I look at Josh who just laughs at how weird they all are.
"Well maybe if you ask we can tell you." I said
They all look at us.
"Sorry." Riley said
She hands the ultrasound back to me and I roll my eyes.
"I get a little too excited sometimes." Riley said
"Sometimes?!" We all exclaimed
Her jaw drops.
"Well?" Topanga asked, referring to the gender
"It's a boy." Josh said
They all cheer, making us laugh, and they come to hug us and congratulate us. After a lot of hugging and everyone talking about the baby and what she will be like, Josh and I headed out to go shopping for the baby to get everything.

We did manage to get all the stuff for the baby and now we're just looking at clothes for him. My mom said we need like a lot for when he's first born because of the weather and everything. The baby clothes are so cute! I continue looking whilst Josh pays for everything we bought. Because they're in boxes that need putting together they're heavy, so he's putting them in the car whilst I look for baby clothes.
"I'm taking you're having a boy." A voice said
I see a woman standing next to me also shopping for things and she has a small bump.
"Yeah, we just found out today." I said
I smile.
"Baby shopping for the first pregnancy is great, everything is so adorable." The woman said
I agree with her.
"How old are you?" The woman asked
"Eighteen." I said
I feel self conscious now, mostly because I know how judgmental people can be.
"I was your age when I first got pregnant with my boyfriend. And now I'm older and onto baby number two." The woman said
"Was it hard? Raising a baby at this age?" I asked, a little worried
"It was challenging of course especially with college but we made it work so I know it's doable, but it was worth it in the end." The woman said
"Everyone keeps telling me that, was it hard dealing with people? Because people can be very judgmental." I said
I sigh.
"It was for me. I was always so paranoid and my boyfriend, well now husband, always just told me to ignore them." The woman said
"Sounds a lot like my boyfriend." I said
I chuckle.
"Mommy!" A voice called
A little girl comes running over the woman and I smile.
"Like I said it's worth it." The woman said
She walks off with her daughter and I smile.
"Hey babe." Josh said
He walks over to me and kisses me.
"Who knew baby stuff was so heavy?" Josh asked
"Maybe you should work out more then." I said
I chuckle.
"Dealing with you is a work out." Josh said
I slap his chest.
"Kidding gorgeous." Josh said
Josh kisses my temple.
"Find anything?" Josh asked
I hand him the basket.
"It's just one baby, right?" Josh asked
"Very funny." I said, sarcastically
I chuckle looking around some more.
"Okay that's it for today. My back is killing me and I need a nap." I said
He chuckles, we walk to the register and pay for everything.

We head back home and nap together. It's getting closer and closer to the baby arriving, but talking to that woman kind of assured me it would all be okay as long as I had Josh.
