21 | i have a date
After I made the deal with Ryder he dropped me off at my car and I drove it to the gang house.
I wasn't sure how I should feel having people know that I'm not really a nerd, but at least I don't have to put up with everyone anymore.
Today is Saturday and I'm probably just going to hang out at the gang house until my date tonight.
Ryder said that he is going to text me the details earlier when we exchanged numbers.
Once I got to the gang house I went straight to Brooke's room to see where she went yesterday.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
She finally opened the door, and she looked like a mess.
"Hey" she said and walked back over to her bed.
"Hey, where did you go last night?" I asked her cause she just left me, but it doesn't matter.
"You know that really hot guy I was dancing with?" She asked and I shook my head yes.
"Well we left and went to his place and you can guess what happened once we got there." She said smirking and I just laughed.
"This morning when he dropped me off he asked to take me on a date and I said yes." She said blushing.
"Oh my god! My best friend has a crush!" I yelled jumping on her bed.
"Oh god! Stop" she said laughing and I sat next to her.
"So what happened with you?" She asked.
"Well I may or may not have went stayed at Ryder's house." I said.
"Wait Ryder, as in Ryder Gonzalez the leader of our enemy gang." She said shocked.
"Maybe.." I shyly said.
"Oh god"
"AndIhaveadatewithhimtonight." I said fast.
"Slow down!What did you say?" She asked.
"I said that I have a date with him tonight." I said shyly.
"We have to get you ready!" She yelled standing up.
"I don't even know what time he is coming or where we are going." I told her as I stood up.
"All the more reason to get ready now" she grinned pushing me to my room.
Once we got into my room she closed the door and put me in my vanity chair while she went through my closet.
"What kind of outfit do you want to wear?" Brooke asked looking through my clothes.
"Casual" I said.
"How about fancy?" She asked grinning and I just shook my head.
"No" I said with a slight smile tugging on my lips.
"You're no fun" she said grabbing an outfit.
"Hey! It's my date, not yours" I said in defense.
"Put this on" she said handing me an outfit.
I walked into the bathroom and changed into a white crop top and some skinny ripped jeans and some converse.
"It's missing something." She said as I walked out and then she went back to looking through my closet.
I was looking at my phone and got a text message from an unknown number, so I checked to see who it was.
-Unknown
"Hey sweetheart, what's your address so I can pick you up at 7."
I knew it was Ryder and I quickly sent him my address before I look back over to Brooke who was still looking through my closet.
When she turns around I see her holding onto my favorite leather jacket with a grin.
"Put this on" she says handing me my jacket and I put it on.
"Now we have to do your hair and makeup!" She said excitedly.
2 and a half hours later she finally finished getting me ready.
Brooke curled my hair and now it looks like slightly wavy curls.
For makeup she did my basic face routine with a warm tone natural smokey eye. I had to add some red lipstick for my signature touch before I left though.
"Hey Brooke" I said.
"Yea" she asked looking up from her phone.
"Did I tell you why I'm going on a date with him?" I asked looking at myself in the mirror.
"No, I thought it was because you liked him." She said.
"It is, but he also knows stuff about me and in order for him to tell me he said I had to go on a date with him."
"So basically he is blackmailing you." She asked.
"I guess. And also he said I can't dress like a nerd anymore at school." I said and she grinned.
"FINALLY" she yelled.
"Were you just waiting for me to stop being a nerd or something?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Yea! I hated when you had to put up with those fake bitches. Now you can give them a piece of their own medicine." She said grinning.
"Oh, trust me. I will" I said smirking.
"You should go before you are late" she said checking the time and pushing me out of my room.
"Trying to get rid of me?" I asked walking in the hall.
"Definitely" she smirked and we both laughed.
"Bye girl!" I said going down the stairs.
"Call me later and tell me everything!" She said as I walked out the door.
I got back into my car and headed home, I got there just in time.
I parked my car in the garage and went inside to wait for Ryder.
While I was waiting I plopped myself on the couch and watched some Netflix because there was still time before Ryder came.
*DING* *DING*
I heard the the doorbell go off so I turned off the tv and answered it.
I saw Ryder standing there in a white t-shirt and leather jacket with dark wash jeans.
"Oh god, we seem like one of those couples" I said laughing slightly and he joined in.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Yup" I say and grab my bag before I follow him to his car.
He opens the door for me. "Thank you" I say getting in.
"You're welcome" he says closing it and getting in on the driver side.
"Where are we going?" I ask when he starts driving.
"It's a surprise" he said.
"I don't like surprises. Are you planning on killing me or something?" I ask and he chuckles.
"No, I'm not planning on killing you." He says glancing at me.
"Are we close?" I ask.
"No"
"How about now?"
"No"
"Now?" I ask ten minutes later.
"Yea" he says grinning.
I look through the window and see a bowling alley sign.
A smile made its way onto my face as Ryder parked.
"You like bowling?" He asked with a smile. Not a fake smile, but a real smile with dimples.
"No.." I said and he frowned.
"I love it!" I said smiling and a smile made its way back into his face as he chuckled and got out.
I was about to open my door, but it opened by itself. I looked up and saw that Ryder opened the door and stuck his hand out for me.
I took his hand as he helped me out of the car and I tripped, but before I fell he wrapped an arm around my waist to steady me.
Then we walked into the bowling alley with his arm on my waist all the way to the shoe desk.
"Hey, what size?" The guy at the shoe desk asked, only looking at me which earned him a glare from Ryder.
"6 please" I said.
"Okay" he said and was about to leave, but I called him back.
"Wait" I said and he turned around.
"What about him" I asked gesturing towards Ryder.
"Oh, sorry didn't see you there. You this beautiful girls friend." He said winking at me, making me want to cringe.
"Size 10, and boyfriend actually" Ryder said pulling me close.
"Oh" the guy said and turned around to get our shoes.
I looked at Ryder who had a smirk on his face. "So boyfriend, why wasn't I informed about this?"
"I just said it because he was totally staring at your boobs." He said.
"Or were you jealous??" I asked, slightly hitting him with my elbow.
"Me? No. I don't get jealous" he said defensively while looking at me.
"Think what you want" I said smiling as the shoe guy gave us our shoes. We put them on and walked to an open lane while I had one thought on my mind...
He was definitely jealous.
