*time skip of a day later*
all the crew was up and early this morning to they decided to start breakfast early. but when everyone got there they noticed that someone was missing. Grian.
"guys, where is Grian?" Mumbo asked,
"he's probly sleeping in." Iskall said, brushing the problem aside. after they had landed next to the island, Grian still didn't show up.
"um, should we get Grian befor we explore this island? he said he knows this island... he's seen it before so..." False said befor stepping down on to the beach. all there was on the beach was a prison looking house. then Mumbo then heard a scream for help, and deep down he knew it was Grian's
When the days are cold

and so he ran, ran to the house crash open the door and continue to run, running towards the sound of Grian's voice. then it hit him. he was in a maze of cages... and the only thing he can hear was his own footsteps and Grian's scream, everything was closing in, it was all going to collapse of Mumbo and-
"Mumbo? why are you here?!"

"G-Grian?" Mumbo asked looking around, then he heard a whimper from his left and he looked down, seeing Grian laying in one of the cages. no it was the real Grian.
"hi, Mumbo. I really didn't want you seeing me like this. you shouldn't be here. you need to leave right now." Grian babbled waving his arm aimlessly, it seems like he can't see what he was doing.

"w-what happened? why are you like this?" Mumbo questioned, leaning down to Grian's level
"I... I was a watcher ok? I didn't want to tell you guys because I thought people would hate me. but I guess now the news is out and you all have the right to hate me." Grian said still looking at nothing, it was at this point, Mumbo noticed that where there was suppose to be eyeballs, it was black.

"no Grian. we would never! but what happened you your eyes? and you don't look like a watcher" Mumbo said, looking over Grian
"I... I was a watcher. when I tried to escape, they turned me into a demon that will only listen to their command. the downside of that is that they have to make me blind so I can't see where I am and who I was hurting."

"I wanted to his the truth, I wanted to shelter you all. but that's all left in the dirt now. Mumbo, listen to me. if you leave now, you may have a chance of-" Grian said befor Mumbo cuts in,
"no Grian, I'm not leaving without you!" Mumbo whisper yelled.
But with the beast inside

"but with this, me, there's nowhere we can hide!" Grian said, his arm bumping into the iron cage door and pushing it open.
"The door is open Grian, come out!" Mumbo said happiness in his voice.

"I can't mumbo. I can move my legs unless someone instructs me to... you have to go! I'm begging you!" Grian said,
"no, I'll leade you." Mumbo said reaching out to Grian.

"w-what are you doing?" Grian asked, shrinking back into the cage.
"come here, reach out your hand, I'll lead you!" mumbo said, still reaching for Grian.
"don't touch me, you'll die. I'll burn you." Grian said, shrinking back even more.

Look into my eyes (this is kind of ironic isn't it? they can't touch or see oof)
"fine I'll do this," Mumbo said, moving backward from the cage.
"What..." Grian asked, but he didn't get an answer, instead, Mumbo said,
"get up and move to your left, you'll feel the door and push it open, come out."

Grian grunted as his legs moved without his will and he ends up standing in front of Mumbo. he was usually way shorter than him, but in his demon form, he was over 3 feet taller then Mumbo.
"ok, this is not normal. anyways, turn around and move forward." mumbo said, guiding Grian out of a maze he didn't even know how to get out.

they have been doing this for over an hour, Mumbo's voice was hoars and Grian's legs were tired. they were lost.
"I might have to blast our way out Mumbo," Grian said, raising his hand.
"well, if we can get out then sure," Mumbo said, looking into Grian's motionless dark eyes.

"well. this is where my demons hide!" Grian screamed as he blasted forward and he fell into the memory lane.

"come here Grian." the watcher called, grian's leg unwillingly moving forward despite how hard he tried to keep them still.
"I and feel you are still trying to resist Grian. you're never going to escape so why do you try?"

"useless!" his mother yelled at him, throwing a bottle at him, shattering next to him and some of the glass pieces loged into him making his whimper in pain.

he was doing this all for Mumbo. he was the only person who would be his friend, even though he didn't want to hid the truth but he was doing it to protect Mumbo.

Grian woke up with a start. he was laying on the ground with ropes tied around him. he thought they were ropes. mumbo, on the other hand, has been stabbed by the watchers. they found them. Mumbo could see the opening on the side of the house where Grian had blasted, it was close, Grian could get out. him? not so much.

"I need to let you go!" Mumbo said, yelling the direction to Grian despite to pain on his side. Grian didn't know what had happened to Mumbo but he can no longer feel his presence.
"Mumbo!? where are you!?" Grian yelled, but his leg was carrying him forward no matter what

Grian wanted to save Mumbo, he had everything and yet Mumbo came for him, leaving everything he had behind. he had eyes, Grian always thought they were pretty, they shine so brightly, he wanted to save their light but look where it got him.

"I can't escape this now," Grian said reaching out.
"unless I show you how." Mumbo whimpered, he had lost too much blood, he can't last any longer so he gave Grian a string of directions and he was gone.

"MUMBO!" grian screamed, he can't see, he can't feel. he was running again. he didn't know how he got rid of the ropes but now the only thing that is moving him forward was his legs. Mumbo was long behind him laying in a pool of his own blood. dead.

after Grian ran out of the house he was back to himself and the only thing he could do was sob. he was still running even though he could control himself.
