Flip's POV*

I pulled on my shirt, buttoning it up as Corkscrew walked back into the bedroom, fully dressed. "You change in front of them?" Corkscrew asked me as I shrugged.

"Been livin' with them for almost five years now." I told her, taking off my pants as I pulled on my jeans.

"I love my boys, but not enough to change in front of them." Corkscrew said to me as the two of us chuckled.

"Flip, what's the plan?" Bumlets asked me as most of the boys turned to look at me.

"Me, Blink, Skittery, Corkscrew, and Jack will head over to Brooklyn. The rest of you, stay here and go one with your day as nothing happened." I said as everyone nodded. We all walked out of the Lodging House as we split up, me and my boys going to Brooklyn.

"So we're going to Brooklyn?" Corkscrew asked me as I nodded.

"Yea. To talk to Spot." I told her as we got to the Brooklyn Bridge.

"You're saying that like it's easy to talk to Spot. He's not the easiest person to talk to." Corkscrew said to me.

"It is when she's Spot Conlon's girlfriend." Jack said to her, smirking as he swung his arm around my shoulder.

"Wait, you're his girlfriend?" Corkscrew asked me as I nodded. "When I crossed the bridge to find you, Spot stopped me and called me his girlfriend." She told me as I let out a laugh.

"Was it dark?" I asked her as she nodded.

"Cons of being an identical twin...even my boyfriend can't tell us apart in the dark." I joked.

"You two aren't identical twins. You look nothing alike." Skittery pointed out as Corkscrew and I looked at him.

"We are, actually. Flip here decided to dye her hair brown." Corkscrew told him.

"You're a blonde?" Skittery questioned as I nodded.

"Yep. Dyed my hair brown so people could tell us apart." I told him as we walked into Brooklyn.

"Cool." Jack said as we walked onto the docks, seeing some of the Brooklyn Newsies swimming in the water.

"Heya, Flip." One of the Newsies said as we walked past; I have him a smile as we walked past.

"Where can we find Spot?" Corkscrew asked me.

"You know nothing about Brooklyn, do ya?" I asked her as she shook her head.

"I tend to stay in Queens." She told me as we walked up to a pile of crates.

"Spot Conlon's always on his throne." I told her, looking at the top of the crate pile, seeing Spot talking to one of his Newsies.

"Does he know we're here?" Corkscrew whispered.

"Spot Conlon knew we were here as soon as we stepped foot in Brooklyn." Jack said to her as Spot looked at us, smirking.

"Look what the cat dragged in." Spot said to us as he got off the crates, walking up to us. "Haven't seen you in a while." Spot said, walking up to me as I smiled at him.

"It's only been like what, 2 days?" I asked him, smirking as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Felt longer." He whispered as he kissed me. I then heard an awkward cough behind me as I looked behind me, seeing three people I came with looking awkwardly away from me and Spot...but Jack was just smirking at us.

"Right." I said, taking a step back as we all looked at Spot. "Oh, Spot, this is Corkscrew. Corkscrew, meet Spot." I said, quickly introducing the two.

"Yea, we met." Spot said to me as the two spit in their hands, shaking hands.

"Spot, this is my sister." I said to him as he looked at me and Corkscrew, surprised.

"You have a sister?" he asked me as I nodded.

"They're identical." Skittery pointed out, smirking.

"I knew that brown wasn't natural!" he exclaimed as I rolled my eyes, letting out a small smile.

"Anyway...not talking about my dyed hair...Spot, have you seen Race?" I asked him as he shook his head.

"Haven't seen him. You lost one of your Newsies, Flip?" Spot asked me, smirking.

"So he never came here yesterday?" I asked him as he shook his head.

"Haven't seen him for a few weeks." Spot told me as he and my boys shared a worried look. "Why? What's wrong?" Spot asked me, concerned.

"Yesterday, I sent Race to Brooklyn to send a message to you. He never came back home." I told Spot, worried.

"So Race never get to Brooklyn." Jack said to me, equally as worried.

"Then where the hell could he be?" I asked my boys.

"The Bronx is coming to Manhattan." Corkscrew said as some Brooklyn Newsies stopped what they were doing and looked at us.

"You think The Bronx got to him?" I asked her as she nodded.

"It makes sense. The Bronx saw a Newsie walking by himself and decided to jump him." Corkscrew said to me.

"I'll get my boys." Spot told me as I nodded.

"We need to find Race, now." I told my boys as they also all nodded.

"What are we gonna do?" Blink asked me.

"Jack, Skittery, I want you two to find David. Help him get all my boys inside; I don't want anyone on the streets with The Bronx out for Manhattan." I told the two as they nodded, running off as Spot sent a few of his boys with them.

"Blink, go with Corkscrew to Queens. Corkscrew, I need you to get your boys out of Queens and lead them to Manhattan." I told her as she nodded, those two running off.

"What are you going to do?" Spot asked me as I noticed he was backed up by multiple of his Newsies.

"We're going to find Race." I told him as we all walked off the dock and onto the bridge.

"Flip, what's going on?" Spot asked me as we walked away from the Brooklyn Newsies behind us.

"Ok, long story short. Corkscrew is the leader of the Queens Newsies." I started as he nodded, waiting for me to continue, "The Bronx wants to expand and they already took over the Eastside. Corkscrew came to Manhattan for help, but while she was gone, The Bronx then took over Queens and they're after Manhattan next." I continued, "Yesterday, I sent Race to talk to you, but he never made it here, so I'm thinking The Bronx came in and did something to him." I finished as we walked into Manhattan.

"You really care for him, do you?" Spot asked me.

"Well, yea. I love him. He's like a brother to me." I said to him.

"Flip, don't worry. We're gonna find the kid." Spot said to me, grabbing my hand as I looked at him.

"I just hope we're not too late." I told him, giving his hand a little squeeze.

"We'll find him, Flip." Spot said to me again as he ran his finger over my knuckles. I nodded as Spot and I started to walk in one direction while Spot's Newsies went off in another direction.

"Ok so, from what Corkscrew told me, The Bronx didn't move Runt after he got beaten up, so they wouldn't have moved Race." I told him as the two of us walked through town, looking for Race.

"So it could be anything from an alley to an abandoned building." Spot said to me as I nodded.

"Yea, but Race wouldn't have gone into an abandoned building to get to Brooklyn. There's a series of alleyways that leads straight to the Brooklyn Bridge. I say we walk the path, see if Race is there." I told Spot as he nodded.

"You know Manhattan better than I do. You lead the way." He said to me as I nodded, walking in front of him as Spot followed me. Spot and I walked down the series of alleyways, looking for Race but to no avail.

"Where could he be?" I muttered to myself as I heard Spot call out my name. I turned to look at him, seeing that he's at the end of the alley, looking at something on the ground.

"What is it?" I asked, walking up to him as I saw him...Race.
