we find our shadows on the building:
watching from the bridge
in a fleshy sunset
the grapefruit light orbits our heads
(pressed together, noses squashed)
my skull is translucent;
absorb my thoughts.
i'm back on the same bridge,
in the same light
and i think of you and the
it doesn't matter.
for those months have escaped,
like a bird from a cage
now i am somebody else
and this place has rearranged itself
into new memories my mind will
leap ! spring !
the birds circle me
i am drenched in rays of copper
a halo is mine
and you aren't the angel anymore.
