THE LIGHTS BEAMED as Finn and I started biking towards the diner. It was around 7PM and the sky started to dim it's lights. The streets were full of loud noises, and we were part of it. Finn and I biked around laughing and screaming and enjoying our summer as a teenager.
"M'lady" he said as he opened the door for me. We sat in a booth as I played with his hands.
"You have really long fingers" I told him. He slowly took his hand over to mine and measured ours together.
"Your hands are smaller than mine" he said.
"No duh," I chucked before he abruptly intertwined our hands. His fingers were between mine, squeezing my hand.
"It's cute," he said, "that your hand is smaller than mine" My face grew red which made Finn laugh quietly.
"Are you ready to order?" A waitress asked.
"Can I have a chocolate milkshake and a cheese burger please? Fries on the side also," Finn said.
"I'll have the same, but with a strawberry milkshake" I said.
"I forgot" he said when the waitress left.
"Hm?" I asked as I continued to play with his hand.
"That you like strawberry" he said. I gave him a smile and said, "it's not something you have to remember. Plus, we just met yesterday."
When our food came, they gave us apple sauces. Who the fuck eats apple sauce for dinner?
"Who the fuck eats apple sauce for dinner!?" Finn exclaimed. We both tossed the sauce to the side.
"That's some crack ass shit" I said.
"That's the most idiotic thing I've ever seen before" he said then started eating his fries.
We ate food as we talked about anything that popped into our heads. Finn told me jokes and I told him funny stories about when I was little.
"One time, I was playing in a ditch w-"
"Finn?" We heard a voice say. Finn turned his head around and gasped.
"Millie?" He asked with a horrified look on his face.
"Oh my god! Hi! Who's this?" Millie said as she sat next to Finn.
"She's my friend" he said, avoiding her eye contact.
"Hi, I'm Millie" she said with a sly smile. (Kk, so b4 y'all come @ me for making Millie shitty like the 3rd time, Bc this is my 3rd book... uhhhh, we just need that bitch yk? And I don't wanna bring other celebs into this. Like ppl use Maddie z and stuff but like don't really f w ppl like dat or youtubers so if y'all don't like dat don't read my book. Plus I don't even like Millie that much except for the fact she does the UN stuff and tries to make a world a better place.)
"I'm Maeve" I said and gave her a little wave.
"What were you doing with her, Finn?" She asked and Finn looked away. He rolled his eyes and rested his chin on his hand.
"We were eating dinner and then I was going to take her back home," he said, "but you interrupted it"
"I did not! Are you cheating on me?" She practically screamed.
"We aren't even dating Millie, quit making a scene!" He exclaimed. Everyone was staring at this point.
"I feel like I should go, so... um," I said as I got my things. I took some money out and put it on the table.
"Eve, you don't even know where to go" Finn said.
"Yeah, I have google maps" I said then gave them a little wave, "good night"
I quickly walked out of the diner and went to the bike stand to open the lock.
"Maeve," I heard Finn.
"It's fine, I feel like you need to talk to her. I can go home by myself" I said as I gave him a smile.
"I'll go with you" he said.
"It's fine" I said.
"No it's not," he argued, "what if you get kidnapped or raped?"
"I don't think anyone's going to tackle me off the bike to fuck me" I said.
"Just please, let me take you home"

"Thanks for biking with me home" I told him. He gave me a big smile.
"Good night" he said and gave me a wave. I turned around and started walking towards the garage.
I closed my eyes and turned around once again, "Finn?"
"Hm?"
"Never mind."
"Oh, okay." He said then continued to walk his way home.
"Wait, Finn" I called out.
"Yes?"
"Can we hang out tomorrow?" I asked.
"Of course" he said with a smile.

"Ugh!" I groaned into my pillow once I got into my house.
He probably thinks I'm annoying, I thought to myself, why did I ask him that? Now he'll think I'm attached to him or something.
Lost in my thoughts, my attention was brought to my phone when it suddenly vibrated.
