Dean Ambrose's POV;
After everything that's happened the past few days, April and I decided to head to the gym this morning. I hired a personal trainer to get our bodies pumped for tomorrow's RAW. April was working on weights and I was in the ring, practicing some moves with Colby. "So, are you and April doing good?" Colby asked, as he put me in a headlock. "Doing good. Just with all the stress and drama that's been happening, I'm thinking about taking April on vacation." I answered, drop kicking him. "Sounds good." Colby replied, as we slid out of the ring. "Yo Dean, wanna give me a hand on this?" April called, kicking the vending machine. Colby and I parted ways before I jogged over to help April.
AJ Lee's POV;
When Dean and I arrived back home from the gym, I hopped in the shower and changed into a grey hoodie, white tank top, red converse and black skinny jeans. I sat on the couch, playing on my phone while I waited for Dean to finish getting ready. My phone buzzed.
Kaity- Hey Ape, I was wondering if you could meet me in my hotel room? The number is 120. Thanks.
Me- sure, Dean and I will be there in a few.
I haven't texted or spoken to Kaitlyn since all that drama happened a few weeks ago. I didn't even know where our friendship was,. Or if we even have one. Once Dean emerged from the bathroom, I stood up. "Kaitlyn wants us to go to her room." I said, as Dean walked over to me. "What did you do?" He questioned, pulling me into him. "Nothing., yet." I laughed, as we walked to Kaitlyn's room.
A few minutes later-
Dean Ambrose's POV;
"Wait, WHAT!?!" April and I shouted in unison. "Please tell me I'm dreaming. My sort of friend is dating my girlfriends friend?!?" I said, making sure I spoke right. Kaitlyn with.., Punk?!?
"It was a coincidence really. We bumped into each other and BAM!" Kaitlyn shrugged, leaning into Punk. "Well, this is some shocking news." April replied, tightening her grip on my hand. I rubbed her back gently, trying to calm her down. "We were wondering if you'd want to join us for a double date tonight." Kaitlyn squealed. AJ frowned a bit, and I furrowed my eyebrows. "That is unless you don't-" I cut Kaitlyn off mid sentence. "Of course we'd like to go! I can get to know you guys better." I smiled, hoping April was okay. "Great! We can meet in the lobby at 6. Thanks so much!" Kaitlyn giggled, picking April up in a bear hug. Punk and I shook hands respectfully and then April and I walked out of the room. As soon as we entered ours, I turned her around, "Spill." I demanded. She sighed..
AJ Lee's POV;
"I mean, it's gonna be weird going out tonight. I haven't hung out with Kaitlyn since.., before all the drama happened." I looked down at my hands. Dean tilted my chin up. "Listen shortstack, I'll be there with you. It won't be awkward, trust me. If anything, it might make Kaitlyn and you become closer as friends." I just nodded at Deans words. He might be right. I just have to put off the whole 'drama' business. "Now, we have a double date to get ready for.." Dean smiled, grabbing my hand, planting a small kiss on it. I blushed, and Dean grinned. God, Dean could calm me down in an instant.
CM Punk's POV;
"Aren't you excited for tonight, babe?" I asked, throwing my black shoes on. "Totally. April and I could try and become closer too." she smiled, putting her earrings in. I turned the TV on and watched Big Bang Theory, while waiting for Kaitlyn.
She slipped her black heels on and grabbed my hand. I shoved my wallet in my back pocket and shut our hotel door. I checked my watch and it read 5:55pm. "We can just wait here and-" I was cut off by Kaitlyn running (trying not to slip) over to Dean and April. I trailed after her, shook Dean's hand and gave April a light hug. April and Kaitlyn scurried towards the car, talking and laughing as always, leaving Dean and I alone.
AJ Lee's POV;
I was wearing a red tight skirt, a black crop top and black chucks. Dean just put on black boots, jeans and a collared shirt. As soon as I saw Kaitlyn, I squealed like old times. We ran to the car and gossiped like crazy. God, how I missed these days.
Throughout the whole entire night, Kaitlyn and I not once acknowledged the fact that our boyfriends were with us. I felt kinda guilty for leaving Dean all alone. But, I was happy to have my best friend back. Soon, we parted ways and I hugged Kaitlyn and shook hands with Punk. Once we got to our room I was expecting an argument to come with Dean, but surprisingly, it was dead silent. "Alright alright tell me how I should've been a better girlfriend and hung out with you." I stated, turning around to face Dean. Dean just shrugged. "Why would I say that?" He questioned. "Because your you." I chuckled. "I'm glad that you and Kaitlyn are on good terms now. And Punk and I have some stuff in common so we're cool." Dean replied, taking off his shoes. I fake gasped, and jumped in Dean's arms. "Really?" I smirked. He delivered a smirk back and I kissed him.
RAW-
Kaitlyn's POV;
After Punk and I returned from having lunch, I started packing for RAW tonight. "Hey, I'm gonna head out now. Catching a ride with Dean. I'll see you later babe." He kissed my forehead and grabbed his bag. I raised my eye brow as he walked out the door. Weird. I thought him and Dean were enemies.
I swiped my phone and texted April to see if she knew anything.
Me- hey ape I was wondering if you knew anything about Punk and Deans new friendship?
Ape- I said the same thing. They might be frenemies!!
Me- we should investigate!! We could be spies!
Ape- I'm blackhawk✖️
Me- I'll be agent blue🙅
Ape- yeah no.
I laughed as I grabbed my bag and headed out the door to drive to the arena.
Once there, I sprinted to the Divas Locker Room and set my bag down. I walked to the canteen and sat down next to Nikki and Ariane. "Hey ladies." I greeted, giving them a small smile. They nodded in my direction and we continued to have a conversation.
AJ Lee's POV;
"I'll see you after my match. Love you." I stood on my toes and gave him a small kiss. Dean wrapped his arms around me, giving me a tight embrace. "Love you too shortstack." He smirked before turning around the corner. I walked to the Divas Locker Room. I set my bag next to Kaitlyn's and then the door busted open. I looked up to see Kaitlyn. "Woah, what's up with you?" My face showing I was clearly amused. Kaitlyn regained her breath before speaking. "I found out you arrived so I sprinted here to tell ya we have a tag match against the Bella's tonight." She sat next to me. "Yay, we get to kick some serious Bella butt." I laughed. We fistbumped and went to get changed.
I came out wearing my new Love Bites shirt, black and pink shorts, my skull socks, knee grey converse and my signature wristbands. I slipped my title around my waist and waited for Kaitlyn to emerge from the bathroom. She came out wearing an '8th Militia' shirt, camouflage pants, combat boots and a jean jacket. We gave each other smiles before heading to the curtain.
The Bella's music just stopped, and I did some stretches to prepare for the match.
Keep reachin' higher, keep reachin' higher...
I could hear the crowds reactions to Kaitlyn and they were pumped. It just made me more excited to get out there.
Let's light it up, light it up light it up light it up...
I skipped out onto the ramp, and blew a kiss to the crowd. I made my way to the ring, unbuckling my title and giving it a kiss. I slid in the ring and made sure that Nikki and Brie could see who was champ around here. Kaitlyn started off with Nikki and I watched on the apron. This is gonna be a good match.
Kaitlyn's POV;
Nikki and I circled around each other, getting ready to pounce. She lunged forward and hit me with a clothesline. I got up quick and dodged the next one, giving her a hard dropkick. She backed into the corner and growled. I smirked, and she ran at me full speed, pushing me down and hitting me. I flinched with every blow that she delivered. The ref pushed Nikki out of the way, telling her to back up. She reluctantly obeyed, giving me time to regain some energy. Nikki came up to me, but I punched her and gave her a hard kick to the jaw. She fell and I pinned her but she kicked out on 2. "Get Up!!" I taunted, as she slowly came to her knees. I twisted her arm and kicked it, making her wince. I tagged in April and she started her attack.
AJ Lee's POV;
I bounced off the ropes and hit Nikki with a bulldog. I pinned her but she kicked out on 1. I sighed in defeat. I pulled her up and got ready for the Black Widow, but she countered and kicked me in the leg. I staggered, and she slapped me. I fell, and she managed to tag in Brie. Brie hit me with some missile dropkicks, making me roll over every one. Brie decided to go on the top rope, but that was a mistake because I dodged her and she fell on the mat. I quickly scrambled and tagged Kaitlyn in. I could see Nikki out of the corner of my eye, so I jumped off the apron and slapped her. Payback sucks. I turned around, but was dragged to the floor. I held my head, as Nikki slammed it off the floor. I mentally screamed as I felt pain shoot through me. Nikki then proceeded to pick me up and throw me into the barricade, my head bouncing off that too. I clutched my head, as everything became black.
Kaitlyn's POV;
I saw Nikki and April scrapping out of the ring, but I focused on Brie. I did a DDT and tried to pin her, but something caught my eye. April was laying on the outside of the ring, clutching her head. I leaned inbetween the ropes, calling her name. "AJ!AJ!AJ!" I made sure to stay in character and call her ring name. She didn't answer, so I went to leave the ring when I remembered Brie. I turned around and she kicked me, and did the Bella Buster. I was too worn out to kick out, and I was worried about April. The Bella's raised their hands and walked backstage, gloating their victory.
I sat up, and managed to crawl under the ropes and slid over to April. I turned her over to see her eyes completely shut. I cursed silently, and shook her. She still didn't respond so I turned around and called for the medics to help her. They didn't come down, but instead Dean did. He raced down the ramp and captured April in his arms. He stroked her head and took her backstage. I grabbed her title and trailed behind them.
-Few Hours Later-
AJ Lee's POV;
My eyes fluttered open and instantly squinted at the bright light. "Stay here, I'll go get your medication." A voice I recognized as the doctor said. I just weakly nodded, not able to move my head that well. "Okay, you need to take 2 pills a day. Next week come back and I'll see if your cleared to wrestle." Woah, back up. Next week? No wrestling? Hell no. Not a chance. No chance in hell. (Sorry Vince). I shook my head even though it hurt so bad. "I can't, I have to wrestle tomorrow on Smackdown. I-" the doctor cut me off. "No can do. Your lucky I'm giving you a week. By the looks of your concussion, you should probably take 3 weeks off. Don't push it." He warned. I signed in defeat. I then thought of Dean, and how he was holding up. "Did anybody come in and visit?" I asked, as the doc helped me up. "Yes, Kaitlyn came in and said she would check on you in about 30 minutes. So it should be in about 5 minutes or so." I thanked the doc and slowly but surely tossed my legs over the uncomfortable bed and started getting up. Right at that moment, Kaitlyn walked through the door and rushed to me. "Are you okay? You took quite a hit. I was so worried when you blacked out. Nikki almost broke out of character." Kaitlyn told me, giving me a hug. "Thanks. How's Dean?" I questioned, as Kaitlyn grabbed my medicine bag and helped me walk to the door. "He's holding up. I guess." She shrugged. I laughed as we linked arms and walked to Dean's locker room.
Kaitlyn's POV;
After I brought April to Dean, I left them to 'talk' but we all know what would happen. I then walked to the Divas locker room and changed into a black shirt and denim skinny jeans. I laced my combat boots, then grabbed my duffle bag. I grabbed April's title and walked back to give it to her. I didn't want to 'disturb' them, so I left it outside the door. I grabbed a sticky note from my bag and put from-kaitlyn. I stuck it on the title and walked to Punk's locker room.
"Hey babe. So, how's April?" He asked, getting up and giving me a kiss. "Doing good I'd say. I'm gonna visit her tomorrow." I explained, sitting down next to him. He just nodded. "Hey Kaitlyn? Can I ask you a question?" I simply nodded, telling him to go on. He cleared his throat. "Well, Dean is planning a vacation for April, and he asked me to see if we wanted to go. I said yes and I thought you could distract April so we can plan everything." My eyes lit up at his words. "Of course! Anything for April. She's my best friend." I spoke, which made Punk grin. "Good, because we have a lot of planning to do." I groaned at his words. Me + work do not mix.
Next Day-
Dean Ambrose's POV;
I slowly crept out of bed, careful not to wake April up. Today I was going out with Phil to plan the mini vacation Kaitlyn,Phil, April and I are going on. I changed into basketball shorts, my black shoes and a Nike shirt. I grabbed my phone and texted April that I'd be back around 2. It was 10 now so I had enough time. I walked down to the lobby and waited for Phil. "Hey, man. Ready to start planning?" He asked, bro fisting me. I grinned and we headed to his car. Hope April likes this, I've worked hard on it.
Around 11 I got a text from Kaitlyn saying April's not at the hotel. I furrowed my eyebrows, she was just there an hour ago. What? That was weird. I started texting April.
Me- hey shortstack, where are you? Kaitlyn wants to hang out.
April💗- at the gym. Just texted Kaitlyn. Btw, where are you babe?
I hated lying to April but this was important. To us. I sighed and typed. I hit send quickly, so I didn't chicken out and tell her the truth.
Me- went out to hang out with Punk. Call me if you need anything babe. Love you❤️
April💗- love you more and I will my lil lunatic😘
I mean, I wasn't lying. I was just hanging out with him. She just didn't need to know the reasons. And I mentally died inside, reading her little nickname for me. It was cute. I shut my phone off and continued talking with Punk. We talked about airfare, tickets, hotels, food, things we would do, the time, place, and most importantly, when we were going.
AJ Lee's POV;
I'll admit, I missed Dean. I wanted to spend the day with him, but he was busy. I didn't want to ask too many questions, because than he would get annoyed. I shut my phone off and continued listening to music while on the treadmill. I increased my speed and began quickly sprinting, gasping for air when needed. All of a sudden, my machine was turned off, and I stopped, looking back. Kaitlyn smirked at me, an amused look on her face. "Your so funny, good one." I rolled my eyes.
"Okay look, we're going out for lunch with Brie and Nikki." Kaitlyn pulled me off the treadmill and dragged me to my room. "This is kidnapping you know." I whined, not in the mood to go out. "Well, would you rather be a loner, work out or hang with friends." Kaitlyn crossed her arms, giving me a 'choose wisely' look. I sighed and mumbled "You win."
She grinned and started picking out clothes from my suitcase.
"Good choice." I told Kaitlyn, as I slipped on red converse. I was wearing a white shirt, and black high waisted jeans. I threw on a grey hoodie and grabbed my phone. "Okay, I'm ready." Kaitlyn let out a breath. "Finally." I playfully rolled my eyes and followed her out the door.
"Hey ladies." Nikki hugged me and Kaitlyn and as did Brie. Nikki and I were putting our differences aside and trying to become friends. I linked arms with Brie and we walked to their car.
"I can't believe you guys snuck into Vince's house to see who would win the divas title." I chuckled. Nikki gave me a devious smirk and that made Kaitlyn snort. We continued talking about the guys, WWE, the Divas Title (mine), our family, favorite TV Shows, Total Divas and etc. I had to be honest, I had a fun time catching up with the girls. We rarely get to see each other because we're so busy with work and other things. But of course my mind was mostly on Dean. I missed him. I haven't seen him since last night.
Brie looked at her watch and let out a small gasp. "Ladies, this has been a good lunch, but it must come to an end. It's already 2:30. We should hang out again." Brie spoke, as we walked out of the restaurant. "Of course." I agreed, slipping into the car. As we drove back home, I blocked out of their conversation and thought about Dean. I hope he was there. Nikki pulled into the parking lot and I jumped out. "Thanks ladies for a fun time. I'll see you later." I gave them a hug and walked inside with Kaitlyn. Brie and Nikki were going to meet us at the arena. "Meet me down here in 10." Kaitlyn said, as I entered my room. I gave her a thumbs up, telling her I heard, before slamming the door behind me. I turned around and saw Dean laying on the couch. I excitedly jumped on him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist. "I missed you so much." I said, giving him a kiss. "Same, now let's go kick some serious butt." He pulled me up and we went to go get ready for Smackdown. I was ready to show some divas who the champion is.
