Crystal's Pov.
Today was letter day, which basically means I'm getting a letter from my mom. Maybe. Me and all the other soldier's sat down while the C.O. (commanding officer) McCoy, *dreamy sigh* calls our names out. You should have seen and heard how many girls sighed and stared at him and when he said they're name, I'm pretty sure all of them almost moaned out loud. Except for the guys of course. Unless a few of them are gay. O.o
"Crystal Martinez" popped my day dream bubble. I glanced up and made eye contact with those dominant eyes. Slowly I stood up and walked over to him, my boots thumping the whole way there. When we were maybe a ruler and a half apart his hand reached out containing my letter. I reluctently reached out my hand also.
As I reached for his hand, I froze. His hands were ice cold. My eyes flashed up to see him staring intensely at me. I quickly snatched my letter from his hand, my fingers brushing his cold knuckles briefly. I spun around and walked to my bunk and hauled myself onto the top one and Layed down.
I dug my finger underneath the flap cealing the envelope. I dragged my thumb all the way across from under the flap and flipped it up and reached into the envelope and grabbed a perfectly folded letter. The corner of my lips twitched. My mother was always a perfection freak. You should see her handwriting. I always wished I could write like her. Her letters were clear, neat, and flowey. It was just beautiful. I unfolded the letter to see her perfect handwriting scribbled across the page in English. My mom wasn't very good at speaking English but she was extremely good at writing in English.
Dear Crystal,
I miss you so much. This big house is so lonely without you. Except for the maids wandering around the house here and there. But crystal........................... how is it over there? Do you like it? What are your drill seargents and C.O's names? I hope they're treating you.................. decently. And I have to tell you something. I've been keeping this from you because I was scared of how you would react. I've been keeping it a secret for 2 years now. But please try to understand. You see, at my office 2 years ago, we had a new lawyer join our company, Kevin is his name, and I got assigned to show him around and we got along great. But things progressed and now were together. He proposed to me after I dropped you off at the airport and we went out to eat at that fancy restaurant on the water in the city. You remember that one don't you? Your father would bring us there all the time no matter how expensive it was. And I told him yes Crystal. We're getting married but we want to know when your coming home so we can have the wedding with you in it, he really wants to meet you. I know you probably wont want to even come home after this but I couldn't keep it from you anymore. I just hope you understand.

I cant believe this. So she's been sneaking and dating a guy behind my back! She kept this from me for 2 YEARS!!! I thought she trusted me enough to tell me something as important as this! And yes of course I don't want to come home now. I don't even want to see her face! I don't even want to send a letter back!
I jumped off the top bunk, tears threatening to spill out. I barged through multiple people and ran into the girls bathroom, slamming the door shut behind me. Not even noticing the pair of silvery grey eyes watching my every move.
