The ride back 'home' was complete hell. Half of the ride back was complete shit. My Aunt 'Pen' was discussing how I scared the 'bajeezus' out of her, thinking I was kidnapped. God. It's a plane, there are assigned seats, and there's only so much room on the plane. Someone can't just kidnap you like that. Can they?
When we arrived at my new home, she showed me every room in the house, top to bottom. Aunt Pen's house was jaw-dropping! I would've expected it to be a small cozy cabin house. But boy did I think wrong! Her house was humongous! I would say it would be the next level up to a mansion. There were what it seemed like very expensive pieces of art on the walls. My aunt even had a fireplace! Where in the hell could an early 60 year old lady get all this money, and shit?
I think my aunt knew I was absolutely surprised and thrilled about the new house.
"Next stop, your new room!" she smiled. It was perfect! Yes, it was a smidge small, but it'll do. The room was empty, besides a new twin bed in wrapping, a 4 foot tall lamp, a dresser, and a body-sized mirror. The best part of this was, my Aunt knew how much I loved to decorate/paint the walls, so she said I could do anything with them in my room. YES! She instructed me to get the paints from in the basement.
"Thank you SO much Aunt Pen!". I hugged her, giving her a squeeze. I think I could get use to this.
I started hurrying down the stairs to the basement when she made a final announcement.
"Oh no child, don't go down there yet. We're going to the mall to get you some new clothes."
"The mall? I never uh..been to a mall before. Let alone 'the'."
"Oh believe me, you'll love in Nikki! There is a marvelous selection of clothes you could choose from, and only so much time so hurry up!".
I couldn't possibly go to the mall looking like this. I wore blue pajama pants with spongebob characters on them, a black tank top, and pink slippers. My brunette hair was tangled in gigantic blobs, and there was dribbles of drool in a section on my hair. Bloody hell. The nap on the plane ride must have been great.
"Well, at least let me change into something cute, there might be hunks there!", I shouted from above the stairs.
Aunt Pen rolled her eyes, giving a little chuckle. "Oh dear, well I understand your struggle Nikki", she responded sarcastically.
I changed into my grey skinny jeans, my pink and black Dc' high tops, a black v-neck, and my 'Us From Outside' UFO hoodie I absolutely loved. After that, I untangled my hair, and applied this green bottle of shit my mom got me to 'prevent tangles, dry hair', on the knots that were visible. Left my hair down, and nope didn't even bother to put makeup on. I mean yeah, I changed my clothes cause I didn't wanna look 'ratchet', but makeup? Uh hell no! I could care less what people think about my facial features, but clothes like yes. I cared very much so.
I hurried down the stairs practically screaming, "I'm ready!". I ran out the door waiting for my Aunt Pen to arrive only two minutes later. Then we were off, to go to 'The' mall I've always dreamed about going to.
