I was at home. The portal seemed to lead me there. It felt a little weird, like I had no feeling. I walked up stairs to my room. I opened my door with my favorite sign on it that read, "Sport Maniacs Only, others who trespass may not come out!" As I was walking in, I looked at my room with all the posters of famous athletes including Usain Bolt, Coby Bryant, David Beckham, and many others.
My room seemed arranged differently, even though it wasn't different. My mom came in and, in an unusually high voice, said, "Wake up."
I was confused. She repeated, "Wake up."
I felt a little shaky.
"Giselle, wake up." I then closed my eyes and fell to the ground, but I couldn't stop myself. I fell into somewhere dark because when my eyes were closed, it got darker as I fell lower. My t-shirt was ruffling fast and my heart was racing. I fell down and down, and when I opened my eyes, all I saw was darkness. Riku flashed before my eyes but all he said before he disappeared was, "Giselle, please wake up for Alicia."
I then heard loud and clear, the same words that had been projected into my mind, "I said wake up!"
I opened my eyes and turned to the side to see Alicia kneeling next to me(that explains the high voice). I don't get how the Riku in my dream knew that Alicia was next to me. I then asked her, "Where are we?"
She replied, "I actually do not know."
"You don't know!? I thought you were the geographical genius here!"
"I am! I j-j-just don't know where we are. It looks a little...peculiar. The clouds shouldn't be here."
"Oh, so the clouds determine everything. Do the trees or th-"
"Actually there are no trees around here, if you haven't noticed."
I then took in on my surroundings. It looked like we were in a desert but it was humid and there were many small clouds in the air. About a mile or so away I saw a snowy forest, which was peculiar. I looked in the other direction and there were green meadows about the same distance away. It looked like we were a dot of desert in the middle of a war between a snowy forest and a green meadow, because when I looked in between them, all I saw was this desert. It was as if the meadow was a pile of fluff sitting a few inches away from a pile of needles (being the forest), being separated by only thin glass. The desert was long but thin compared to the other landforms nearby. Even though I'm not that good at geography, I knew this was wrong. It seemed as though...no it can't be...well...maybe Alicia and I are in...another dimension.
"I have considered that and it does and does not make sense. It does make sense because these geographical and scientific terms do not apply here. That is also the reason why it DOES NOT make sense here. A portal does not suck up a person to take a person to another dimension that has many climatic differences for no reason."
That is what Alicia told me after considering many ideas and by observing the environment for a minute. This all seems pretty true. I just don't understand why the portal chose the seven of us. I didn't bring this to Alicia's attention because she would've worked out a whole new conclusion.
"Alicia, I think we should go search for the others."
"But Giselle, we need to find some leads first."
"I think I have one right now."
"What is it?!"
"How far away were you from me when you woke up here?"
"I woke up a long time ago in the meadow. I think heard a voice over there, but I didn't know whose it was. I then saw this desert and I thought it looked peculiar, so I came to investigate. I looked around the desert a while, and I couldn't find any life form here so I sat on a rock and waited. I then stood up on the rock and I started looking over the desert. My eyes made out a human on the floor in the distance. It was you. I ran as fast as I could because I was happy to see a human. When I got as close as ten yards I knew it was you. I started sprinting towards you. When I got up to you, I started to try to wake you up but it took a while."
"From what I have summed up, if you were really close to me when we were entering the portal and you woke up far away from me, then the others must be really far away from us."
"Should we split up, Giselle?"
"Well, considering that we can find the others and group up again, I say yes."
"I agree."
"The sooner we split the better. So, since you think you heard a voice in the meadow and because it looks like your kind of area, you should take the meadow and I shall take the snowy forest since it is a much rougher terrain."
"You used a big smart word! Good Job! But anyway, let's hope for the best."
"Wait, before you leave, do you trust me all the time?"
"Sometimes you're careless, but the rest of the time, you're good."
I watched her go into the meadow. That Alicia is one happy girl I tell you. As I made my way to the snowy forest I saw something shine in the distance. I was curious what it was so I leisurely walked over there (just in case there were any traps). When I came close enough to the shine, I figured out it was a blade. It was a small blade, yet it was a pure silver blade. I thought it would come in handy so I grabbed it and as soon as I grabbed it, a portal appeared next to me. This time I could walk through this portal and not get sucked up. I took my chances. I pulled the blade out and walked into the portal. This portal happened to be a time portal. This portal allowed me to watch what happened to us back at camp.
