A monster lives within
the Beast of myself
Mocking my fear,
sadness and hurt,
lies and tears
Making me
scared of myself,
my scars and storms,
my anger and loneliness
The Beast thinks of me;
"Fake. Broken. Damaged."
"Weak"
"Useless"
I'm tired, crying, dying.
Acting to please it
numb to the pain
But when I wake
and I am with you
The Beast is gone
cuts heal
pain fades
tears dry
