Chapter 9 : •Urges to take part in sexual acts.
Blake's Side Of The Story:
The rest of the day was a blur for Blake, he told the french teacher he felt sick, and was sent home hastily.
He sought out his room in Mrs. Turner's house, and he was there. Blake thanked God for giving him appearing powers.
Then he remembered Cassy.
Blake rushed out his room, and searched for Mrs. Turner. When he couldn't find her, he decided to research in her private library. Within minutes he'd found what he had been looking for.
A book on the topic of claims.
Blake quickly opened the book and ran his finger down the index. He needed page 462. Blake flicked to the page and read it.
Before we discuss Guardian Angel-Human Claims, here is a basic recap of Claims.
A Claim is made when two Angels, of any denomination, who are destined to be soulmates meet. The Claim bonds the two and strengthens their relationship greatly.
Throughout history there have been reports of Guardians of The Left Behind claiming a human while on Earth. The Guardian has simply met their Claim while their Claim is still human.
These claims are extremely rare, with one in every 1,000,000 claims.
The human claimed on is unaware of what exactly is happening, with only strong feelings of love and lust. The human has a few other signs that Guardians also have such as:
•A need to be with the their Claimer or Mate.
•Disinterest in fe/males of his/her species
•Protectivness
•A need to impress their Claimer or Mate
•Urges to take part in sexual acts
•Change in personality
The Guardian in the claim is often as clueless, the rarity of such claims make them unheard of in most countries.
The Guardian has a limited time on Earth, and must eventually leave their Claim or Mate, so the claim is often rushed and leaves both parties heartbroken when the Guardian must leave, hence them not being discussed.
In most cases the Guardian explains to their Claim or Mate what has happened. As the Claim or Mate is theirs for eternity, they are usually understanding, and become part of our community for the time of the Claim.
Claims or Mates are reunited in Heaven when the one on Earth dies, where they spend their afterlives together.
Signs of a Claim in Guardians :
•A need to be with the their Claimer or Mate.
•Disinterest in males of his/her species
•Protectivness
•A need to impress
•Change in personality
•Urges to take part in sexual acts
•Tracking and mind reading abilities increased.
Blake's mouth went dry.
He had finally made his Claim.
Shit.
What would Régine and Jake think?
They had sent him to watch over their daughter, and instead he's fallen in love with her?
Inside though, Blake was rejoicing, he had finally made his claim.
Blake sought after Cassy's house, and found himself outside of it.
Time to tell Cassy.
Cassy's Side Of The Story:
I'm so confused.
I'm lying here on my bed, trying to figure out what the hell happened.
What did Blake mean by 'I've found you?'
Has he been looking for me or something? That'd be just creepy. I've never met the guy before.
And then Blake just left, apparently he felt 'sick' which was a lie.
Unless he was sick of me?
Ugh. Mom would know what to do.
Mom.
Tears welled up in my eyes, and I started crying.
Would I ever get over it?
Sobs overtook me, and I started crying harder. I was a mess but I really didn't care, nobody was here, I'd scared them alway or they'd died.
The tears just wouldn't stop, and I was sure I was after snotting on myself, but I still didn't give half a flying fuck.
I don't know how long I'd spent like that, when I heard someone bust down my bedroom door. Next thing, I heard a steady stream of curse words, and felt a pair of strong arms wrap themselves around my rib cage, which was shaking with coarse, angry sobs.
The moment those arms encircled me, I felt better.
The moment those arms encircled me, I also knew it wasn't Cher that was comforting me.
I buried my head in the strangers armpit, hoping it wasn't sweaty. Hands stroked my hair and a voice made soothing sounds in my right ear.
Well. It was a guy for sure.
And that voice was familiar, very familiar, but I knew it wasn't Blake.
It couldn't be Blake.
Whoever he is, I hope he doesn't mind that I got snot on his shirt.
The tears slowed down, but I was scared to look up at whoever's lap I was on.
Yes, lap.
No, I don't have any idea how I ended up there.
But it was quite comfy so I'm not complaining.
I took an unsteady breath and looked up to whoever it was.
Holy. Flying. Pigs. Wearing. Smiley. Face. Socks.
It was Blake.
How the fuck did he get into my house?
Blake must have been able to read my mind as he quicly explained, "I knocked, and I waited five minutes, then I heard a bang. So I kinda let myself in and I found you on the floor....." He trailed off, letting me figure the rest out.
But Jesus.
What was this lad doing in my house?
Or Cher's house.
And I was sitting on his lap.
And I had snotted on his shirt.
And I was sitting on his lap.
"I'm sorry you had to see me like this.... It doesn't happen that often, I just had a weak moment. I'm okay now though." I mumbled all that, looking at his chin.
I didn't want to meet his gaze, scared to see pity, shame or worry.
Or he might see I'm lying, as I'm definitely not okay.
Blake sighed sadly and wrapped his arms tighter around my waist, pulling me closer to him, then he replied, "Cassy, you're not okay. I know you're not."
Woah, this guy was something. Either he was a brilliant guesser or he really knew me. I shook my head, "No, I'm okay."
Then he spoke the sentance that changed everything.
"Your parents miss you too. They want yo to know it wasn't your fault. Régine and Jake Freeman died in a car accident. A car accident. Not a Cassy accident. They are watching over us right now, and they also want you to know you'll see each other again."
I gaped at him with my mouth open.
What the hell?!
Blake put a hand on my chin and caressed it, then he tilted his head up to his. His eyes were gentle and honest.
"They want you to know that things will get better, and the feelings of isolation will pass. They say you have to trust me on this one, and listen to me. Cassy, I'm not lying."
I stared at him, open mouthed. How did he know so much about me?!
Blake continued, "Cassandra, listen to me. You have to trust me. I've met your parents, and they love you very much."
That topped it off. I burst into a fresh wave of tears.
Blake didn't titter, or get impatient. He just held me, and rocked me back and forth, making calming noises.
After ten minutes, I felt better. The tears had stopped for now. I choked out a single question,
"Blake, what are you?"
Heya!
