A year had passed now since the thing between Marcus, Andrew and i happened and after, Marcus apologized to me. Of course he didnt do it directly, i found his apology letter lying on the floor when i opened my locker.

Am sorry for acting the way i acted last week. After days of self isolation and a lot of thoughts i realized that you were right and i was wrong. You were right for proving me wrong , For making me realize that the bond between you and andrew is unbreakable. After countless crumpled papers, i finally realized that i can't force you to love me even if that was what i wanted. i didnt ask for too much did i? All i asked or wanted was your love and i guess it was so hard to give. When that guy breaks your heart, remember i will always be there for you. I'll be your shield, umbrella and sword. You can take as much time as you'd like even eternity. Just know that i'll always be there for you and please dont leave me hanging.

The letter was touching and heartbreaking at the same time. For a while i couldnt still bring myself to believe that it was Marcus who really wrote that letter. He sounded so vulnerable but it was just what i needed.
i had let bygones be bygones and i and Marcus remained friends although he'd hint me once in a while that his feelings for me are still intact. I didn't read much to it because i'd be digging my grave if i did.
Andrew and his mom resolved their differences and thanks to my mom, the relationship between his dad and his stepmom was on the verge of breaking.
Flashback One year ago
My mom had invited andrew's family over for dinner, the night before i was kidnapped. Although the dinner couldn't take place that friday because she was emotional, she still insisted that they should come over so the date was rescheduled to the next Sunday. I tried persuading her, bringing up all sort of lies but it all fell on deaf ears and with that andrew had no other choice than to inform his parents. it was a shocker that his stepmom had agreed to it and most importantly his father.
On that day the unimaginable happened. The moment his parents set their eyes on mine silence befell everyone. They were both awestruck. My mom watched with a knowing look and my father regained his composure and greeted his father like they were long time buddies. I and andrew stared at each other both shrugging our shoulders indicating that we were clueless.
At last the drama ended and they took their seat. I noticed something was wrong when Andrew started losing the glow he had earlier on. His eyes looked like its going to pop out of it socket anytime soon and i used that opportunity to kick his legs under the table
Giving him that 'whats the problem?' look he sighed and shook his head giving me a not so friendly smile.At that instance i knew something was wrong. I looked at our parents who suddenly found their food more interesting than starting a conversation before looking back at Andrew. Of course he was still staring at that GOddamned phone. I resisted the urge to kick him once more and furiously typed

Suddenly a gasp was heard and then the sound of a fork hitting the floor. I looked up to see what it was that took their breath away and i was more than surprised when i saw what was happening. ANDREW'S BIOLOGICAL MOTHER.
I immediately looked at his stepmom (To see what her reaction would be ) and it was worse than i had imagined. Her cool demeanor was robbed off and her face potrayed many emotions.ANger,Despair, Shock and surprise. And that was when i heard my mom's voice.
" Surprise suprise milly, I thought you wouldn't make it." She flashed my mom a smile before saying
" You know i never break my promise. Looks like you guys started without me" She looked around and i noticed a glint of pain flash through her eyes when she saw Andrew.
Her reaction seemed so fast and calculated that i could bet i was the only one who saw the pain flash through her eyes. She took a sit beside my mom which was opposite Andrews stepmom and flashed her a bright smile
" Camille i almost thought i would never see you again"
That was when it happened. She bursted like a ballon and her cheeks flared from anger
" what the fuck are you doing here? ooh you think this is a mad people's gathering sorry to burst your non existing brain this place is for humans alone"
" Watch your language mille" Andrews father yelled and MIlly started laughing
" Oh my gosh. The things people do for money. I think i belong here more than you do. Afterall Andrew is my son" She retorted and my mom smirked. I never knew she could be this evil.
" Why did you invite her over" my dad yelled at my mom but she just kept her balance (Still smirking)
" Am sorry i think i have to go" my dad said and with that he left the dining angrily.
"We'll leave now," Andrew's father said as he tried his best not to drag his wife out of the house.
Milly and my mom started laughing and i turned to look at them.
"I think you owe me, Better still I and andrew an explanation"
She stared at Andrew then back at me before she sighed.
"its a long story Catherine. I and Milly used to be friends and so does your dad and Brime. I was dating your dad back then and milly knows him. She was also dating a guy then. His name is rutherford. Then suddenly her dad introduced Brime to her as her spouse, It was an arranged marriage between both families. To be honest Brime was dating camile at that time but because she wasn't from a reputable family his dad didn't allow him to marry her. She always had problems with jack in fact their marriage wasnt a happy one. It was always one problem after the other. She didn't tell me about it then but the little that happened in my presence made me conclude that my friend wasn't having a happy home so one night i told Jack about it. i was very furious that i threatened jack not to come near me anymore if he doesnt warn brime. That was the last time i heard from her.
I tried visiting her house on several occasions but the security told me she wasn't around. I called her phone many times but she just wouldn't pick up. That was when i gave up on her. A year later i heard some people discussing about them in the sauna. They were discussing about how their family was the best and how their son who was born months ago brought joy into their home. I was really happy when i heard that. I tried calling her but her line just wasn't reachable. I was very sad but happy at the same time. If truly the child brought joy into their home as they said then there was nothing to be worried about
Five years later i heard from my husband that Milly and Brime have relocated to France. I was still happy, happy that their relationship had taken a new turn not knowing that it was all a Facade. Milly wasn't the one who went abroads with him but Camille. That devil had her husband back and She also had andrew
Then three months ago milly visited me at my place of work and explained all that happened to me. "

After the revelation was made, Andrew cut off all ties with his father and started living with his mother. The most Surprising thing was what happened on our graduation. I and Andrew were conversing with our parents when i noticed two pair of eyes on us. Those eyes of course belonged to Andrew's father and his stepmom. Andrew balled his hands in a fist and was about to hit his father when i held his hands stopping him. His eyes was flaming red with anger written all over it but i ignored it and entangled his fingers with mine
his father moved forward with his stepmom clinging unto his arms for her dear life. They both looked unkept (or tried their best not to) it was obvious that camile had a sunscreen on and although Brime's wasnt noticable, It was obvious that his hair had been cut and jelled to the back. If trying to look unkept took that much then am sure they should be awarded best actors and actresses of the year.
" Son, i know we are the last person you want to see at the moment, i and your father just want to apologize. The house has not been the same since you left" She reached out her hands to touch Andrew's but he yanked it off. Then she sniffled and a tear rolled down her cheeks
"Am so sorry. Daamn am sorry .Just forgive us and come back home" She bursted out crying but andrew wasn't moved at all
" First off, Am not your son and secondly I will have nothing to do with you guys from now on so i would love it if you leave before i lose my temper"
She shed more tears that i almost believed it was true but Andrew didn't react. He held my hands and pulled me out of their sight.
PRESENT
I took a sip from my Luwak coffee thinking about all that had happened in the past year. i and andrew were out on on a dinner date but he had to go to the bathroom which left me the only one at our table. I was about to take another sip when i heard a ding.

i shifted my gaze to andrew's jean jacket and my mind started a debate
