My heart aches for thinking you were true
I should have known better than to give my trust too,
You think you know someone and they'd be different,
But they turn out to be another statistic
Now I have my guard up, all my fences
And you can't hope to break my defenses.
I mostly just kill them with kindness
As I bathe and Wade in the waters of growth and enlightenment,
I cannot let anyone's shortcomings
Bring down my upcoming.
Exparated I sigh under my breath
