There is a spell that they asked me to preform. It takes one woman's egg, and two men's sperm. I do assume you know how babies are made? Well, because of the ratio the child only gets one of their mothers' features. Your eyes.
"You got your title, the boy-who-died, when you were barely fifteen months old. There was an Ord- meeting of a group of people who fought he-who-mustn't-be-named. Your parents were part of it. But despite the fact it was at a secret location Voldemort found us. Professor Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts, was going to tell us a prophecy about how to defeat him. But the monster attacked, killing three of our best fighters, including James. You were there because none of us knew where was safe anymore. We all carried our valuables with us. He-Who-Mustn't-Be-Named was killed. I won't give you the details... You're much to young. But the second he died you did too. We were in shock and raced over to you. One of our people was a healer. She checked, you really were dead. But before we could move you, when we finally pried Sirius Black off, we felt a powerful blast from Voldemort's body. Black. There was so much black. It flew away from us in all directions and it stopped us breathing. Then you started coughing. Sirius Black laughed like a maniac. He had betrayed us all. Your death is said to have caused the burst of shadows. They spread all over England, but when the reached the border they just disappeared. I'm not sure who let this out to the general public. Sirius Black is in maximum security Azkaban.
"Professor Dumbledore took you to live with your egg-donor's sister. I'm not sure why he didn't leave you with some of your magical family. I must admit I wonder how you got to France? You speak French very fluently. I couldn't understand most of what you said."
Hadrian stayed silent.
"I know you have no reason to trust me. But I would love it if you stayed with me until school started. It's only two and a half weeks. Please Hadrian."
"That might be, nice."
And so began the next chapter of Backie's life. Being a wizard.
