Hayes' s * POV *
Ugh, I can't belive Hannah's in the hospital! I feel like it's all my fault because I wanted to go out and now I'm here... I already told her I was sorry in the ambulance and she said okay, but barely. It sounded like she couldn't breathe, like she was gasping for air as her words came out slowly. I felt like crying again. I just didn't know if I could live myself if Hannah leaved me now. She couldn't- she can't leave yet! She has to stay with her family; she has to stay with me, and everyone else who cares about her! Well I can't do anything about it, but wait. Well at least she knows I'm sorry and I care.
By the time it was morning I woke up in the hospital waiting room, right where I fell asleep. I was drenched in tears I guess I cried in my sleep... I thought while wiping the tears off my face. Then a nurse walked up to me and Hannah's mom. "Are you both here for Hannah?" The nurse asked us both kindly. "Yes! Is she okay?" I barked. "Well...." the nurse trailed off. "What is it?" Hannah's mom said on the verge of tears once again. "She isn't any better or any worse, so we will have to keep her overnight again..." the nurse finally said, her voice filled with sympathy. "Oh." Is all I said shocked.
I thought she would at least be a little better by now! Geez and it's all my fault. Just thinking about it made me want to cry, but I held back my tears and listened to what else the nurse had to say. "So, yes we will run some more tests and x-rays and see what we need to do. She is in ok condition, her heart rate is stable, but she was knocked out for a while and hasn't woken up yet." The nurse said calmly. "Well then, you should probably call your mom and go home for a little while Hayes. And get some rest! Don't worry I'll keep you updated and maybe if your parents say it's ok you can come back later." Said Hannah's mother. "Oh, ok... I guess. " I said blankly. I didn't want to leave, but I pretty much didn't have a choice. So I called my mom and told her to come pick me up.
I was completely silent on the way home, hoping Hannah was ok. She was the best thing that ever happened to me and I couldn't lose her. When we got home I texted Sophie. We sort of became friends through Hannah. Not super close, but we text sometimes.
Me: Hey I just got home from the hospital Hannah has to spend another night at the hospital and she hasn't woke up yet :(
Sophie: Oh ok, well are you going back later?
Me: yeah why?
Sophie: I am too I was just wondering if you were gonna be there
Me: oh ok well I have to go eat, text u later!
Sophie: kk byeee!
I put my phone in my pocket and walked inside my house. It smelled so good! "Mmm, what us that?" I asked myself. "Home made chicken noodle soup. " blurted Nash from the kitchen already eating some. (I love soup!!!) "Thanks, Nash. " I said sarcastically. I got a bowl of soup and ate quietly. Nash knew what happened so he didn't say anything about Hannah; and I was glad. I needed to get my mind off of her. So I turned on the tv while looking at my Instagram and Twitter feed. Nothing exciting.
Then I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to a startling sound. It was mother. "Hey honey so Hannah just woke up and I thought you would like to see her." My mom said excitedly. I didn't say anything, I just put my shoes in and darted into the car. "Come on mom we don't have all day!" I yelled. "I'm coming mister smarty pants! " my mom yelled back. We drove to the hospital as fast as we could. I was so glad she was awake.
