1 hour later . . .
Honestly, after everything she's had to deal with these past few days, Anastasia was half expecting herself to close the door on Harry's face the minute she saw him. But, she couldn't. And it was obvious why. Instead she stepped out of the way to allow him to come inside, her heart practically beating wildly out of her chest.
Strangely enough, however, Harry didn't walk inside all the way like he normally did. Instead, he stopped at the entrance in front of Ana, looking down at the ground with a solemn look on his face. It was obvious to Anastasia then that this conversation would be most certainly different than the other one they had a few days ago. He gently grabbed hold of both of her hands, causing her to close the front door. His thumbs circled parts of her fingers in a certain hope that it would calm down.
And, eventually, he led Anastasia towards the bed. Ana's eyebrows were furrowed in confusion because she had no idea what he was doing. Sometimes she hated how Harry wasn't the type of person to talk about the things he's dealing with. He finally looked up at her and Ana could see the tears forming around the edges of his eyes but, for some reason, Ana saw a small smile fighting its way onto her face. All she could do was wonder why he would be smiling if he had made the atmosphere so sad.
After what seemed like hours, Harry finally spoke. "I'm sorry, Ana," He said, and that instantly took a huge weight off her shoulders. "Like, truly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just conflicted and confused, and then instead of having an actual conversation like an adult, I just left."
Anastasia giggled slightly to his and hers' surprise. "Yeah, that was pretty immature," She joked, in an attempt to lighten the mood.
Harry laughed along with her, suddenly feeling as if this conversation was way easier to have. "Listen, Ana, I'm still not 100 percent sure about having a child, and I'll most likely mess this up, but I don't want to lose you."
Was he really about to say what she thought he was?
"Anastasia, I'd love to be the father to our child," He stated plainly but with a huge smile on his face and tears threatening to leave his beautiful eyes.
All Anastasia could do in that moment was smile. Smile the biggest smile she ever has before. In almost an instant, Ana had jumped onto Harry, pushing himself down on the bed and onto his back. She laid multiple kisses all over his face, on every crevice, his dimple, everywhere. Anastasia swore that she had never been happier.
And, honestly, Harry felt the same.
