The Adventures of Agent 9 (Book 1)

In the past (part 20) Octavio, and Octavian

       -back down in Octo Vally-
     
Everything was silent, and the sky looked a red color, with hints of black and blue. There wasn't rain but the sky felt ominous and foreboding.
     
And underneath the ominous, and the foreboding sky was a house, a house where a now 14-year-old boy named Octavian lives.
     
After Kaile, Nikiole, and Marina left, Octo Valley was at a standstill, other then the Octarians searching for them.
     
Since Mrs. Hopeful didn't get what she wanted, she nearly broke all the things left in her house, the Piano, and all the pictures on her wall, she made sure to rip out all of them.
     
Since there weren't any other volunteers to be a test for the new sanitization formula, a boy named Clyde took Kaile's place, and the serum was successful, with major flaws but they were satisfied with the serum.
     
Kaile's first best friend Brianna, showed up one day, on her birthday to see the surprise she didn't want, that her once a best friend wasn't there that time, or the next, or the time after that. Then she just stopped coming.
     
Aspen and Atlas went missing soon after that, their parents were devastated, and after around a month they stopped looking for them assuming that they were dead.
     
Ruby became mad that all of her friends left her, and her suck up attitude, made her never go to the place where they used to play again.
     
The tree where Nikiole sat, and Kaile once slept near the roots, was now completely the same, and never to be messed with again.
     
And all their memories stayed there, stopped in place. There were the only good memories that they had there, and those memories stayed there, never to be fully remembered again, to be lost in the fake wind.

As for Octavian, he got the worst end of it. His dad, Octavio, the head of the whole operation was furious with what happened. And in that House, where a small 14-year-old boy named Octavian, that boy wound NEVER be the same again........

In the morning Octavian lay on his bed looking up at the ceiling, having nothing to do, and nothing accomplished. He hadn't been out of his house since the whole thing went down, And the just lay there doing nothing.
     
"Octavian!" His little sister Octavia knocks on his door and opens it slightly.
     
"Yes, what is it?" He said rudely.
     
"Dad wants to see you." She said
     
"Tell him that I don't want to see him!" Octavian snapped.
     
"It's about the family name." Octavia continued ignoring what he just said.
     
"What?!"
     
"You better get going."
     
Octavian pushes past her and met his dad in his office. Octavian knocks on the door and creeks it open gently.
     
"You wanted to see me, dad?" Octavian said in a shy, but confident tone.
     
"Ah yes, come in, take a seat."
     
Octavian sits down nervously on the chair, instantly playing with his hands to calm his nerves.
     
"Octavian, as you know you are my oldest son, and you currently have the family name."
     
"Yes sir"
     
"And I know that you were friends with those runaways"
     
"Yes sir."
     
"And as my son, I would have expected better from you."
     
Octavian looks at him puzzled "uh, what do you mean?"
     
"As my son, I would have expected you to stop them! This is your fault that they escaped!" Octavio slams his tentacles on the table making a loud cracking sound.
     
"My fault! How is it my fault that's the two idiots ran away huh?!" Octavian's face was red from anger, and he was now standing up from the chair.
     
"It was your fault because you let them getaway! If you only paid more Attention Octavian!"
     
"But they're just three Octo's! You have plenty more!"
     
"One was my top engineer! And the other two were perfect test subjects!"
     
Octavian crosses his arms and sat back down in the chair.
     
"So I am relinquishing the family name from you and giving it to your sister."
     
"What?!" Octavian stood up from the chair again. "You can't do that! I've done too much! I've worked too hard!"
     
"You never let me finish, you can't have it unless you get them back, dead or alive! You are dismissed."
     
"But!"
     
"I said you dismissed Octavian!"
     
Octavian ran out and into his room, all the lights were off and the room was dark.
      
"I hate you!" He screamed, "I hate you, Kaile! I Hate you Nikiole! Why that Kaile I'm going to kill you! This is your fault! You were always better than me at tag! But now... I'm it."
     
Octavian gets a photo with Kaile's face plastered on it. He taped it to the wall and punches it as near as he can, revealing a hole in the wall.
     
"You are gonna pay for what you did to me, and I'm gonna make sure it hurts........"
