Point of View: Layne Staley
I offered Jerry a shot, and he took it.
"Howd you get this shit if you just turned 18?" He questioned.
"Our drummer is 26. I have my ways." I gave him a wink, and we both drank.
I showed him some lyrics I wrote.. he showed me his guitar stuff.
I think we both were buzzed at this point.
"Stones probably pissed." Jerry said.
"Why?" I asked.
Jerry pulled a cigarette out of his jacket and lit it. "Because I'm at the house of another pretty guy."
I was too buzzed to care about what he just told me.
"Is he your boyfriend or something?"
"Stone? God no. We just mess around. I cant let anyone tie me down this young."
I took another shot. "It doesnt weird me out by the way."
"What?"
"Earlier. You said sorry about kissing Stone in front of me.. saying it probably weirded me out. It didnt."
He took a long drag of his cigarette. "Good."
"Yeah. So you like boys?"
"And girls."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"Me too."
"You like boys and girls too?"
"Yeah. I do now."
Jerry turned to face me. "What do you mean?"
I laughed to myself. "Nothing. It's not important. I'm gonna change real quick. I'll be back."
Jerry nodded, and I walked off.
I moment later, I heard a knock at my door. "Come in!" I yelled.
Jerry opened the door. "Shit. Sorry man I was looking for the bathroom."
At this point I only had my boxers on, so I pulled my shirt over the front of me, and stood up. "Its fine. I thought you were one of my bandmates."
Jerry invited himself in. "This your room?"
I chuckled. "Yeah."
Jerry sat beside me and took his jacket off. "Cool room."
"I guess so. It's been a while since I've had people in here. I wouldve cleaned up if I knew someone would be coming back here."
"Sorry about that."
"Its alright."
I looked over and saw Jerry just staring at me.
"What?" I asked.
"You're pretty."
I smiled lightly. "Thank you."
I looked down once I felt him lightly kiss my cheeck.
Jerry stood up. "Sorry."
"No! No. Its.. okay." I assured him.
He sat back down and leaned in to kiss me.
I laid on my back, and he half way climbed over me. We kissed for what felt like hours.
"Wont Stone be mad at you?"
"He wont know." Jerry said, before kissing me again. "Plus. Him and I arent a thing."
"Am I just gonna be another Stone or something?"
"Depends."
"On what?"
"If this continues."
I looked him deep in his eyes. "Would you get all angry or sad and jealous if I hooked up with someone else?"
He shrugged. "Maybe. Would you?"
I just quietly nodded, and sat up.
"That's why you left when Stone came out."
I just looked at him.
Jerry put his hand on my face. "I'm sorry. We just met- i didnt think you felt that way. Or that anything would happen like this. Do you.. want me to leave?"
I shook my head 'no'.
Jerry laid beside me, and we shared another kiss. Afterwards we just silently laid there.
I was wondering why he cared to stay. He had a house full of his friends to be getting back to. But no.. he laid here with me.
