"I'm Vincent." The French kid said.
"I'm Clay." The masked boy said.
"So, Who am I?" I ask.
That Zak kid gave out a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his head. French boy- sorry 'Vincent', scowled at him again.
"Your name is Darryl." Clay calmly stated.
Darryl, hmmm. Darr-al? Dare-o-al? Dar-ol? Dar-dar-binks? Huh?
"Dur-al?" I question, accidentally mispronouncing it.
"Dur-al! I like it!" Zak exclaims. I realize I had made a mistake.
"It's Darryl." Vincent said.
"Can Dur-al leave now!?" Zak said giggling.
"Oh my goodness" I say, shaking my head.
"He can leave soon, like a few more days. That's what the doctor said." Clay said.
TIMESKIP
"14 bottles of milk on the wall!" The shortest one joyfully sings while driving back from the hospital.
"Hey Drake—" I begin to say.
"It's ZAK, with a Z!!!" The shorter one says with a jokingly angry face.
"Ok Tac, could you please stop?"
"IT'S ZAK!!!"
I chuckled.
I knew it was Zak, but if he was going to call me Dur-al then I could call him Tac. Tac reminds me of something small, so it's a perfect nickname— if he's ok with it that is.
I don't know how Vincent could handle driving with us. Zak's a nightmare. It's only been 30 minutes and he's been singing the entire time!
"1 bottle of milk on the wall!" Zak finished, laughing like a 5-year old.
"Tac, what was I like before... this?" I ask gesturing to my head.
"Well, you were very caring and kind, always ready to help someone in need. Actually that's how we met!" Zak exclaimed, as he turned a light shade of pink.
"Sure ya did." Vincent murmured.
"What do you mean by that?" I question, visibly confused.
"hmmm... It's nothing." Vincent turns to face Zak before quickly turning back to the road.
"We're almost THEREEeeeeEEeeeEeEeeE!!!" Zak cheers.
