couple of flowers as you twisted the green stems round each other. Finally done you placed the daisy chain around on you head.
"It's been a while since I made one."
Just as you went to make another something hard and small hit the back of your scalp. "Ow!" Again it hit.
"Who's doing that?!"
At your question a boy in a red robe jumped from a nearby tree branch. He folded his arms across his chest with a look of utter boredom. Rubbing you head you asked, "So it was you throwing stones at me."
He only replied with a grunt, then awkward silence filled the space. Trying his tatic you threw a stone at him.
"Hey." He said.
You smiled, "that got you to talk."
He rolled his eyes, "what's that on you head?" You looked up at the makeshift crown, "it's a crown made of flowers."
He smirked, "looks stupid."
Your brows furrowed, "It's not as if you have to wear it is it!" He stared directly at you, "well I wouldn't want to wear something so childish."
"C-childish?! You rude demon, why are you here anyway?" His attitude certainly needed fixing.
"I'm bored and you became my source of entertainment." You sighed at his answer. "Go find someone else to annoy." You began to make more crowns again.
The dog demon growled, "I wasn't done talking to you." He was met with silence.
His arms slid to his side as his anger surfaced. "Don't ignore me!" You did just that.
He gritted his teeth then stepped closer to you. This made you look up at him. In doing so you saw as his fingers latched ahold of your flower crown.
You hand brushed his as he lifted it up in air. You stood up, jumping to try and grab it but he was taller than you.
"Give me my crown!" Your ears twitching angrily.
He laughed, "nope." You struggled to reach the crown. All the while he kept laughing which you had to admit was quite attractive.
The dog demon decided to run to make things more difficult. "Please give it back." You shouted out to him.
He gave a swift shake of his head, you were beginning to grow tired. So with the last ounce of energy left in you, you pounced. He noticed you gaining on him.
So he stopped which caused you to crash into him. But finally you got your crown back. "This game is over."
He still wore a smile, "my name's Inuyasha by the way."
You rolled your eyes with a grin, "I'm (Y/n)."
He tucked a few strands of hair behind your ear. You realised the proximity of your face near his.
Like lighting you scrambled off him, "uh yeah! Well I suppose I should return to my village now."
Inuyasha's smile faded, "oh...ok I'll walk you home then."
"No, no I'll be ok!"
You waved the offer off and said goodbye expecting to never see him again but...
The next day people made a fuss of a new visitor. A lot getting scared because it was a demon this seemed suspicious to you.
So you went to the center of the village where all the commotion was. A friend of yours came to you and said, "he's asking for you."
"For me?"
You pushed through the crowd and to your surprise there he was. Inuyasha.
He smiled as his eyes met yours, you returned the smile.
Day after day he came to visit you, you started to know more about each other. You joked around and sometimes insulted each other. But it was always in good fun. Even some personal things were told.
This went on for a year until one day he just stopped coming. On the rare occasion you would see him but he ignored you.
When You found out the reason why your heart shattered. He had been seeing the popular priestess Kikyo.
Tears slipped along your cheeks, biting you lip to stop the sobs as you watched him kiss her. Kikyo was beautiful, respected and strong.
No wonder he had fallen for her and not you. To you this was goodbye.
Walking along your mood set into a depression. Why did he think that he had to keep this a secret?
It didn't matter he never came around any more. You covered your face with a sleeve and cried out. Letting the sobs flow.
A warm touch enveloped your free hand. Golden pupils stared back at you. "(Y/n)?"
"Why did you never come see me?! I was right there and you pretended I didn't exsist!"
You felt his grip tighten, "I'm sorry I he came so absorbed in..."
You finished his sentence, "Kikyo." Your voice was cold and harsh as you spoke.
He went silent not needing to ask how you knew. His fingers slipped from yours. He walked away as tears still slid down.
Not knowing that it truly was goodbye that day.

His last glance of you was as he tried to save you from being speared as he stole the Shikon jewel but it failed. You were hit directly in the abdomen and he was struck by an arrow.

50yrs later and the events with Kagome came to be.
Only half way through defeating Naraku was Inuyasha met with a surprise.
"Inuyasha come with us!"
He scowled, "no I'm not your lackey!"
Kagomes puffed her cheeks and stormed off. He sighed only wanting to relax.
Suddenly a bird landed on his shoulder. It was Tomo. "What's up my friend?"
The little bird tweeted before answering, "she's alive."
Inuyasha raised a brow, "well that was very vague who and do I know them?"
Tomo nodded. "(Y/n)."
His pupils widened, face paling and heart quickening. "Where?!" Tomo startled flapped his wings.
"This way sir."
Inuyasha followed his friend, the rest of the group confused. They followed slowly.
She's alive! Alive!
Tomo stopped as they came to a village Inuyahsa recognised instantly. "Where is she Tomo?"
"There sir." He pointed a wing forwards. Inuyasha's feet moved on their own. Those ears on her flowing (h/c) hair. (E/c) iris's but her kimono was different.
He reached her.
"(Y/n)?" You turned to your name.
Copying the exact same expression as him. Shock.
"Inuyasha?"
He smiled, "it really is you! But how are you alive?"
"I'm a demon I healed easily."
"Right." He went to hug you but you stepped back.
"(Y/n-"
"AND I came back here and met the love of my life, (Partners/n)." Gesturing with your hand a man with black, messy curls and stunning green eyes showed himself. Along with 2 kids.
Inuyasha couldn't believe the sight before him, "are they yours?"
"Yes."
He averted his gaze, "I can't believe it you moved on." You sighed, "Inuyasha you were stuck to that tree 50yrs ago and you loved Kikyo not me! Now I love (P/n)."
His ears flattened to his scalp as did yours. "I'm willing to make amends and start over...as friends."
"I...ok."
You went to shake hands but a voice called out to the male before you. "Inuyasha!"
A girl wearing an odd outfit came running along with a monk and demon slayer.
"What are you doing Inuyasha?"
You retreated your hand, "who is she? Kikyo? I thought she was dead!"
Inuyasha said," she is, this is Kagome she's the reincarnation of Kikyo." He explained his situation.
You shook your head, "even after all this time you still chase Kikyo." Kagome agreed with a, "I know."
Your partner, "why don't we put this behind us honey?" Inuyasha felt like growling at the nickname.
You nodded.
"Friends?" You put your hand out again.
Inuyahsa sighed, "friends."
"Great!"
Both of you parted ways and now Inuyasha felt much worse. He truly had lost that of which was always precious to him then and now.
You.
And how he screwed it all up, hurt even more, you were happy with another. No love for Inuyasha remained in your heart.
