Audrey's POV
"PUGH...SOLO."
"YEAH?" I shout.
"COME GET YOUR ROOM KEYS."
"WHY ARE WE YELLING?" Emily shouts.
"I don't know." I say as Mal and I walk up to the coaches.
We just got to our hotel in Sapporo, Japan which is where our first two games will be played. After the first two games the rest of our games, including the knockout games, will be in or around Tokyo so we'll be staying in the Olympic Village with the rest of Team USA.
When Mal and I get to the coach's we grab our keys then we leave the room, get in an elevator, and head up to the floor we're staying on. Once on our floor we find our room then we head inside.
"Which bed do you want?" Mal asks.
"Doesn't matter to me." I say. "You choose."
Mal nods her head then she chooses the bed closest to the door so I put my stuff on the bed by the window. Mal packs her stuff away while I shower and change then once I'm done we switch. Once Mal and I have both cleaned the flight nastiness off us and put our stuff away we head down stairs to the meeting room to wait for our individual dinner plans.
Vlatko gave us dinner to ourselves so I'm eating dinner with my Mom.
"Audrey can I ask you something?" Moe asks.
"Sure."
"Everyone knows Alanna Kennedy was the Pride player you slept with, but who was the person you didn't want us knowing about?"
"All I'll say is it was someone on the 2015 World Cup squad." I say.
"WHAT." My aunt's shout.
Kelley then gets out her phone and dials a number.
"Hello?"
"HOPE." Kelley yells into the phone.
"Yes Baby?" My Mom says.
"Did you know your daughter had sex with one of the team at the World Cup?"
"Back in 2015?" Mom questions.
"Yes."
"Of course I know Kelley." Mom says. "Audrey and I have no secrets."
"Really?" Ash questions.
"Really." I say.
"Hope you're okay with one of our older teammates deflowering your daughter?" Alex questions.
"First of all don't call it that." Mom says. "I don't need that term thrown around in regards to Audrey."
"Alex it was very much consensual." I say.
"Exactly." Mom says. "They both knew what they were doing and they don't regret...at least I think they don't."
"I definitely don't regret it." I say.
"Hope who was it?" Kelley asks.
"That's not for me to say Kels." Mom says. "And don't try to bribe me by withholding sex because we both know I can go longer with out sex."
"Mama." I say.
"Yes Babygirl?" Mom says.
"Are you here yet?" I ask
"Yeah I'm getting in my rental right now so I'll meet you outside your hotel in 5 minutes."
"Sweet." I say. "See ya then."
"See ya soon." Mom says then she hangs up.
Once my Mom hangs up all of my aunt's look at me.
"What?" I ask.
"You know we're gonna find out who it is." Alex says.
"So?" I say. "Not like I care."
"Then who was it?"
"Ask yourselves that." I say. "She's standing amongst you right now."
"WHAT?" My aunts yell
"Fuck's sake." I mumble as I rub my aching hears. "Stop fucking yelling.
"Okay let's pause that conversation." Lindsey says. "So you and your Mom know everything about each other?"
"Everything." I confirm.
"So you know about the late night rendezvous?" Alyssa says.
"Yes I know all about everyone's hook ups......And I do mean everyone's" I say and pointedly look at the straight women.
A moment later I get a text from my Mom telling me she's outside so I let the coach's know I'm leaving then I leave and head out to my Mom's rental.
"Hi Mama." I say when I get in the car.
"Hi babygirl." Mom says as we hug. "Ready for some steak?"
"So ready." I say then Mom drives away.
Mom drives to the restaurant and once we're there Mom parks then we head inside the Japanese steakhouse. Once inside I do all of the talking since I'm fluent in Japanese
"Arigato Gozaimasu." I say to the hostess when we're seated.
"That was thank you right?" Mom questions as we look over the menu.
"Yes." I say.
"I have two questions...How much is this?" Mom asks and points to a price.
"10,000 Japanese Yen so about 90 dollars."
"Cool. Now can you help me decided what to get?" Mom asks with a smile.
I chuckle then help Mom decided what she wants to eat. A few minutes later a waitress comes over so I tell her what Mom and I want then she leaves for a few minutes before she returns with our drinks. Once we have our drinks Mom heads to the bathroom.
While Mom is in the bathroom I type some things on my phone then wait for my Mom.
"Mom can I ask you something?" I question as Mom sits down.
"Of course." Mom says so I hand her my phone.
Mom reads my phone then she hands me my phone back and nods.
I listed 9 names then asked my Mom if all the people she slept with we're on the list.
Only 6 are still on the team.
"Did something come up about it?" Mom asks.
"The team wanna know who I slept with back in 2015 so I'm gonna say if they're serious about knowing then all the people that were with you have to admit it to the team."
"Well then." Mom says and chuckles. "When did you realize that I was doing this with one of my teammates?"
"Come on Mom." I say. "What grown women has a 'sleepover' with another woman?"
"Well what was I supposed to say?" Mom questions while chuckling.
"I mean I didn't mind." I say. "I got to have a sleepover with some of my favorite Aunts."
"Why do they wanna know so bad who it was?" Mom questions.
"I don't know." I say.
Mom and I's Kobe beef steaks come a moment later so once they're placed in front of us we dig in and resume talking with more light hearted stuff. Once we've finished eating the big ass steaks Mom pays then we leave the restaurant and Mom drives back to the hotel.
"Well I guess I'll see you at the game?" I question as Mom and I walk into the lobby.
"I'll be on the front row wearing your jersey."
"Cool." I say with a smile then I hug my Mom. "I love you Mom."
"I love you Audrey." Mom says then she kisses my head.
Mom and I hug for a few more seconds then we part ways and I head to the meeting room.
"Audrey can you tell us who it was?" Alex asks as I walk into the room.
"Who what was?" I question.
"Who the person you slept with back in 2015 was." Ash says.
"Why does it matter?" I question. "It was five years ago."
"Because we wanna know." Kelley says.
"The only way I'll tell is if the people who slept with my mom tell the team."
"What? Why?" Kelley asks.
"Because your asking me to do the same thing." I say. "So if you ladies that slept with my Mom tell the team then I'll tell you."
"Well we've got nothing to hide." Ash says as she and Ali stand up.
Mom said both of them wanted to try having a threesome for their anniversary so they asked my Mom and they only did it that one time with my Mom. Mom said they told her they really enjoyed, but they only wanted to do it that one time.
"I don't have anything to hide either." Becky says and stands up. "Alyssa knows so I don't care."
"Well I'm dating Hope so you all know I have." Kelley says.
"I have as well." Carli says and stands up. "Most of you know that though."
"Is that everybody?" I question.
I give the last person time to stand up, but she doesn't.
"Someone didn't stand up so the deals void." I say. "Sorry."
"Oh come on." Kelley groans.
"Would you look at the time." I say. "Almost curfew."
"Dammit." Someone mumbles.
"I'm gonna head to bed." I say then I leave the room.
Once I'm outside of the room I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding while thinking about the last person still on the team Mom has slept with.
