Chapter 5

Having returned from the photo shoot yesterday, the two females had immediately face planted onto their hotel beds exhausted from the days endeavours.

Why were they so exhausted from just a simple photo shoot, you are wondering?

Well you see, the photo shoot wasn't the problem. It was what had happened after that, which left them sweating bullets and breathing heavily.

Thinking that the best course of action was to use the rest of the day for some sight-seeing, the duo decided to have the taxi drop them off in the centre of Seoul, not too far from their hotels, so they could use the remainder of the sunlight to look around and then easily return to the hotel. The idea itself wasn't what had them cursing their luck and awful choice of footwear that evening, rather yet the awfully timed exiting of the taxi and equally coincidental and bad timing of the news playing on the surrounding buildings.

It was like someone was purposely trying to have them caught in a sticky situation as Mia's face was plastered on the side of the building as a new anchor spoke about her recent food challenge. It seemed her chicken challenge had gained more talk about whether or not she was human with the large amount she could each in a short period of time, plus the news of her up and coming new restaurant, one where for the first time ever, she would be revealing new recipes to the public.

Everything was so 'well' timed, that the taxi driver had just left the two in front of the said building that was projecting all this just at the moment Mia's face popped up on screen. Those who had seen her come out of the taxi before returning to their lives, all took a double take to confirm the identity of the woman in front of them.

Mia and Amy both cursed inwardly as people started to recognise them, children not making the situation any better as they were quick to point out to the world that the same person on TV was in front of them, forming a small crowd around the duo. With nosy people, who wanted to know why their was a crowd forming and where all the noise was coming from, plus excited fans, who couldn't believe that Mia and Amy were in front of them, mixed with people who didn't know who they were and continued to questions those who were taking pictures of 2 random girls in their opinion, it wasn't long before the media had caught whiff of their location.

Mia and Amy weren't really fans of the media, never really liked taking interviews or even answering questions by interviewer or journalists, so when they saw what looked like a couple of TV camera's, the two were quick to come up with an escape plan.

At first, not wanting to be rude, the girls just smiled and asked if they could pass as they were busy with work, a small white lie in their defence, but that plan fell through quite quickly. Though, some people did move, majority of them being fans of the girls or people who had no idea who the two were and couldn't care less, a large chunk stayed still with their camera up and recording their struggle. The two only had one way to escape, not wanting to go in the direction of the interviewer, so they couldn't really map out a different route. Not to mention, it was the only way they knew to hotel and the last thing they wanted to do was get lost in the middle of Seoul.

So with very little time and an even smaller patience for the obvious lack of personal space, Mia grabbed Amy's arm and ran.

Yes, ran.

Ran right towards the thick of the crowd, knowing people would automatically move out of the way for their own safety. The two shouted a quick sorry, before running off in the direction of the hotel without looking back. They weaved in and out of crowd, before blending in by pulling up their hoodies, though the heels that Mia was still wearing from the photo-shoot was a massive giveaway to who they were.

Thankfully, they were able to get to the hotel alive and in one piece, locking the door to their hotel room and falling straight onto Mia's bed, too tired to even care about the time it was.

"Remind me to never go out in public without my mask again." Amy huffed, as she rolled onto her back.

"Yeah, me too. I have a stupid feeling that this won't be the last time this happens again." Amy nodded her head in approval, though she complained about Mia jinxing their luck, knowing full well the two are carriers of bad luck.

The duo talked for a while longer, mostly about the up and coming restaurant that was nearly ready to open and the fan meeting tomorrow, letting the sun set before they headed to bed. As early as it was for Mia, Amy refused to let Mia sleep later than 10:30PM knowing how bad of a morning person she is. Unfortunately for Amy, Mia was able to delay her 'bedtime' till 11:00, not that it made any difference to the next morning.

Bring... Bring....

.

"Mia get your butt up or I'm going to throw you into the bathtub again!"

.

.

"I'm serious!! You slept through all 5 alarms with 3 snoozes on each one!! We. Are. Going. To. Be. Late!!"

Amy, knowing how deep of a sleeper Mia was, pulled the duvet off the sleeping lady, along with the pillows under her head, and immediately showered them down in a rhythmic sequence with no care for Mia's health.

At this point, if Mia was not going to wake up, the possibility of this still high, Amy was prepared to leave without the girl as the fan meeting was starting in an hours and a half's time.

Thankfully for Amy's sake, a groan sounded from Mia soon after her barrage of pillows, who twisted and turned in her slumber before letting out an annoyed 'stop it'. Her eyes slowly blinked as she looked up at Amy holding two pillow, sat on top of her with an angry and defeated look on her face.

"I'm awake. Geez... I was having a good dream too.." Mia mumbled as she stretched before covering her face as Amy threw the two pillows directly at her.

"And this is why I don't need to go to the gym..." She groaned before slipping of the now awaken woman, to go and have her breakfast so she didn't starve to death first thing in the morning.

As Amy shut the door, her eyes telling Mia to hurry up before she was dragged down the hotel stairs, Mia did her final stretches before heading to the bathroom to do her business. Though she was a headache waking up, as soon as she was up on her feet, Mia was very efficient in and quick in what she did.

Within a few minutes Mia was ready.

She was downstairs in the hotels dining area, prepared for the day, wearing casual clothes consisting of blue denim ripped jeans, a large cream sweater with sweater paws matched with brown leather boots. Mia had left her hair to flow naturally and only put on a bit of mascara and lip balm on her lips. She had taken a bath the night before when Amy was trying to get her to sleep on time, so with that the completed Mia look was complete. Simple and easy.

As for Amy, who was busy stuffing her facing with food, her look consisted of ripped black jeans, a BTS hoodie, fish tail braided hair, mascara, lip gloss and black heeled boots. The two girls loved simple yet elegant clothes. It described their personalities well. The only difference between the two's style choices is that Mia prefers more comfortable and baggy clothes whereas, Amy prefers comfortable tight clothes.

Mia grabbed her breakfast, which was plain toast and a warm glass of milk in a reusable cup, before running after Amy, who started the engine on a rental car they had ordered.

She was serious about leaving Mia behind.

The girls buckled up with Amy in the drivers seat and Mia in the passengers, the radio switched on and the windows down. The ride was full of singing and fooling around as numerous BTS songs filtered through the radio and Amy couldn't pass up the chance to sing her heart out. They were sure they received many weird looks from the pedestrians and other divers too, but the girl didn't have a care in the world. As long as they were driving safely and having fun, nothing else mattered.

Time passed quickly as the girls spent the whole ride being preppy children, which made the journey all the more shorter and less boring despite the 30 minutes drive to the venue with the annoying traffic. Eventually, after a total of 20 BTS songs plus many other Kpop groups singles, the duet arrived at the fan meeting venue. Snagging the last parking slot close to the venue, Amy and Mia raced out of the rental car, as they rushed to the entrance with their tickets like excited children.

It wasn't long before the girls entered the hall after having their tickets checked and themselves searched for anything dangerous, the security also explaining that the gifts that they had been brought for the group would have to be roughly checked just in case- which the two understood- the two took the closest empty seats to the stage. Unfortunately for Amy, they were near the end due to how late they left the hotel, all thanks to a certain person who didn't mind the extra wait.

But before anything could be said to Mia though, cheers rang in the hall as 7 handsome males walked on to the stage. Amy let out a cheer with the rest of the fans, whilst Mia simply clapped with a smile on her face.

With their famous greeting, the fan signing began.

Mia's POV

Whilst in the line and listening to BTS interacting with the crowd in front of them, each other and the one ARMY in front of them, me and Amy also took the chance to speak with Armys behind and infront of us. Their stories and overall personalities were uplifting and contiguous to us both, as we were blessed with 2 confident girls and 2 risky boys who truly knew the definition of YOLO. Their outgoing personalities and compelling storytelling made the experience 100 times more special.

Due to this, it didn't feel like 15 minutes had passed when the first of the small group we created was called up. And then quickly after, another went onto the little platform when they were called. And then another. Before finally, it was Amy's turn.

I sent her off with a encouraging smile, one I was surprised I could muster considering how awkward I get under pressure, before sweeping my eyes over the row of 7 men. I spent a minute admiring them as they easily interacted with their fans, my eye's pausing at my bias, before returning to look at Amy.

It was then, it became apparent at how calm I was feeling.

Surprisingly, my heart wasn't beating as harshly as I had thought it would be in their presence and I wasn't sweating like an ape like I usually would, something I never was proud off. In fact, know that I thought about it, I didn't know what it was, but there was a weird sensation brewing within me, one I wasn't sure whether I liked or not.

My stomach felt warm and fuzzy as I was called up to the platform by a staff member soon after, Amy having moved along to Jimin leaving a space in front of RM, which had momentarily distracted me from reality of how calm I felt. But even as my feet moved closer to the platform, the only thing I could pay attention to was the rapidly growing fire growing in my stomach.

It was like I had found something I had lost.

But what it was? I didn't know.

Yet, I felt like I truly did know.

Something told me I had to know. That I did know. That it was right beside me.

Something was speaking to me, controlling me, urging me to move towards my left.

But I couldn't.

I couldn't... Not yet.

"Hello ARMY, what's your name?" The leader questioned, taking the lead once I mindlessly stood in front of him. He had yet to look up at me as he took the album I had in my hand and flipped to his page that I had marked specifically for him.

I don't know what had happened to me, but I couldn't find the will to move my lips. Something was stopping me from doing so, no matter how much I wanted to speak. But thankfully I didn't need to. Because someone answered for me. Someone I didn't expect.

"Koizumi Mia.."
