"Melody and her family about to come over. For those of you that don't know, sometimes we have dinner together. Aunt Ella, Boogie, and Arias come over. Sometimes Aunt Lori or Kehlani comes over. Y'all know, but anyways, they're on their way," he licked his lips,"I'ma see y'all when they get here."
"Wassup y'all it's your girl Milan," She said in the camera, flipping her hair," I always wanted to do YouTube. I don't know if y'all remember but when I was younger, I got to do my first video on my aunt channel. I watch that video a lot, I was so innocent. Anyways, Gio doesn't know I have his camera. I know he was filming something, but uh, I just wanted to say wassup."
"Alright y'all, the fam is here,"Gio said rotating the camera around the table. His mother was across from him,with his little sister in her arms, she was busy laughing with Ella. Artist, Arias and Chris were in the living room watching a game. Milan, Royalty and Melody were chopping it up.
Gio got up from the table and headed to his room,"Okay, so I just texted Melody and told her to come upstairs. I'ma hide the camera behind these bears...and yeah, I got teddy bears in my room. I hope y'all can see me."
He hurried back to his bed and pretended to be busy on his phone. He was just in time because Melody knocked on the door.
Smiling at the camera quickly he smiled,"Come in."
And she did. Walking in she looked around the room until she saw him, she took a seat on the edge of his bed, facing him," What's up bro?"
He sat up smiling,"Wassup with you bro?"
She laughed,"I'm chilling. So why did you ask me to come up here?"
Gio shrugged admiring her features. Melody scrunched her face up, and started touching on her face.
"Something on my face?" She grabbed her phone and looked at her reflection. Gio laughed, grabbing her arm, tossing her phone to the side.
"Nah, nothing's on your face," his hands lingered on her wrist for a little. She snorted,"Can I be real with you? Cause something been on my mind."
Pulling her arm away, she nodded," Yeah whatever... little bro."
He sucked his teeth,"Why I gotta be little bro? Dang."
" Huh?"
" Alright look, Melody, me and you been close for a long time now," he looked her in her eyes swallowing," and I uh...I'm really feeling you."
Nervously laughing she asks," Feeling me?"
His heart was racing and he was nervous. He was usually pretty smooth with girls, but Melody isn't just a girl, he grew up with her.
Melody was nervous too, when he asked her to come upstairs, she didn't think that this was going to happen. This was getting awkward.
"Um Gi-"
"J-just hear me out, please?" He paused and she nodded her head,"I'm sorry to just throw this on you. But I can't just keep being around you and feeling this way."
Melody sat still for a good minute, her eyes didn't move from his. That made him more nervous. She let out a deep sigh,"Um, listen... I love you kid. You're like my little brother, but Gio, this can't happen."
Gio put his hand on his chest, "Damn Melody, you trynna break the kid heart right now."
Melody laughed, putting a hand on his shoulder,"Nooo. Look I'm happy that you could come to me about this and be real, but you're the homie."
" Friend zoned,"he shook his head, causing her to laugh again,"You called me the homie."
"You are the homie Gio. Plus, I'm way older than you Gio. And I know you, you got hoes. If I get in a relationship, my man is only going to be about me sir. And I'm not dating the homie."
He sucked his teeth," Yo stop calling me the homie. And age ain't nothing. What's two years?"
"You're fifteen Gio."
" I'll be sixteen in June Melly,"he said, squinting.
She shook her head," I don't know man. You're still not mature enough to be with me. You gotta drop all them little girls if you're dealing with me."
He smiled a little,"Already dropped. So you saying you would fuck with me?"
She stood up with a grin on her face," Oh...no. I'm in a little situation anyways, so that shit was dead as soon as it left your mouth."
Gio mimicked her moves and stood up," And what situation are you in? You fucking with somebody?"
"Not like that, but I'm talking to someone. And like I said, you are like my brother."
" Bro zoned again," he leaned his head back, sighing. He stood straight and looked her in the eye,"So let's say I wasn't the bro, just Giovanni, you wouldn't be with me?"
" No. Then you'd just be my dad's friend son."
" You know what get out," he pointed to the door,"that's just fake."
"How am I being fake?" She asked incredulously, crossing her arms in confusion," If anything I'm being real."
He shook his head,"Nah, get out. You lame for that."
Melody stayed in place and stared him down," I should smack you. You're mad at me for not liking you? This is why I don't like niggas anyways. They're nice to you when they want something but when you don't give them what the-"
"It's a prank damn," he laughed, shoving her shoulder," talk too much."
"No it's not, you really got a crush on me," she squinted at him,"And I mean, I get it, I'm a baddie. But Gio, it's not gonna happen."
"Shut up, the camera is over here," he grabbed it and pointed it in her face. She put her hand in front of the lens and pushed it back.
"Move Gio."
"It's a prank, I don't like your ugly ass," he laughed,"I can't be with someone who gotta use a step stool just to kiss me."
She sucked her teeth," Boy that's cause you're tall as fuck, and your neck gives you more height."
" Oh you want to do neck jokes?" He laughed," Don't make me get on that head."
" Nah chill," she covered the camera," You done with your video? Cause I gotta go."
