As I am writing I am constantly thinking of ideas and either going with them, or changing them completely. So these are just some minor road blocks for me and other writers. But this Chapter of the story is actually going to be somewhat different. But in the end the outcomes won't be too affected by this. These can be considered branching paths of the story. Different dialog either by a lot or by a little. You will be able to tell by seeing something like this

These will only effect the story depending on how you want it to go. Or a write your own story kind of scenario. This chapter and one for the future is going to have this. I may do a few more but just a heads up. 2 might be all you're getting
I came to this decision because of 2 factors.
The first being because as I was writing this I realized that either one might have been better than the other or they were both good but didn't know what you guys would like. So I am giving you guys the option to choose it how you would want it to go. And yes the different branches are going to be considered Canon
(P.S just realized that either way you guys are gonna read both dialogs)
The second being, and this is my personal favorite. I couldn't decide on which one so I said "Fuck it" and put both

3 felt pity towards 8. She went through what everyone went through the first time. He then reaches for his phone and begins to text

3: Hey. Just got out of Salmon Run. I currently have broken octoling. Are you guys able to take care of her later. I have to work a little bit extra
Remi: You are a horrible person for taking an innocent child to a place like that. Especially without warning her.
3: So I'll take that as a yes. Meet up at this place. Around 3 o'clock should be fine. If you can
*location sent*
Remi: I'll see what I can do

He finishes texting. He then sits down with 8
3: Normally I would say something like "I told you so". But I think you've been through enough for today
She stays silent
3: Is there anything else you'd like to do
8: *deadpan* Why didn't you tell me it was that horrible
3: ...I tried warning you. But you kept on being persistent. So I respected your wishes and took you to it
8: *deadpan* Please tell me we aren't coming back
3: Well you aren't. I on the other hand have to later
They both stay quiet. 3 tries to break the silence by small talk but fails. He sighs then walks away for a little bit. He then comes back with a Cap of Legend head piece. He then puts it on 8's head
3: Hooray, a prize
He said while making jazz hands. That managed to get 8's attention. She looks at 3 with confusion. Then she smiles at him and giggles
8: Thanks for trying 3
3: Well as they always say in gambling. Just keep trying
Both stay silent for a few seconds. They then start laughing uncontrollably
3: Haha. God am I stupid for making jokes like that
8: Well I wouldn't say you are stupid. In fact I find you quite funny actually. You always know how to make some bad situations into good ones
3: Well I try to at least. But I also wouldn't consider this a bad situation if you ask me. More of a traumatic experience. Trust me 8 you aren't the only one who had to deal with that their first time. Heck even I was a mess when I got out on my first day here
8: Well what happened to you
3: Well....lets just say the end result I had a few nightmares about that. It's not that I was terrified of it. It was more like I was caught off guard.
8: Well what was it ?
3: ~sighs~ This one time while I was collecting some eggs, I decided to take out some nearby salmonids. I turned around and saw that I was face to face with a Cohawk. Like literally face-to-face. Next thing I know I got hit with a frying pan and get sent flying. Then all of a sudden Maws decides to jump out and it caught me with its mouth. Now that may sound like a normal salmon run experience to you. But apparently my teammate's saw that and decide to be assholes by leading all the Cohawks and Maws towards me.....I was splatted and revived to deal with that all by myself. 30 different times
8 tries to hold in her laughter
3: I don't know why you're laughing. The same thing happened to you as well
8: I know. But it wasn't close to yours
She begins to snicker
3: Well glad to hear my suffering is making you laugh 8
He stands up
3: Well jokes on them. I managed to actually beat all of them and collect the golden eggs. I intentionally threw them in the water and didn't bother respawning them. Boy were they angry
He chuckles. He then reaches for her hand to help her off the floor
3: Well I think we've both been here long enough. So how about we get going
8: Yeah. I don't plan on coming back here anytime soon....or ever
3: Trust me 8. They all say that

They both proceed to walk away from Grizz Co and start walking around the plaza.
3: So now that we finished here. Is there anything that you'd like here. Maybe somewhere else. You know, AWAY from Grizz Co
He said in a teasingly manner
8: Well....I think we've seen everything already when I first arrived
3: Well...Is there something that you would like to do then. Eat, Shop, Explore ?
8: Not really
3: Come on 8 Im grasping at straws here
8: Well. Why don't we do something you'd like to do
3: You're asking me ? But I was asking you
8: But I don't know what to do though. I feel like I have seen everything here. So thats why Im passing it to you. You might know something that I don't.
3: Well......you aren't wrong. But I only know a few places that would really catch someone's interest
8: Like ?
3 thinks of a few places that come to mind. After a few seconds he finally thinks of a few
3: Well we have the arcade. But that doesn't seem right. We also have Inkopolis Plaza. But hardly anyone goes there except for the people still living there. And then there's Octo Valley but we can't go there until the week is over
8: So what would you recommended?
3: I mean we can always go shopping again. But I think you already saw everything
8: I mean is there something you would like to buy
3: No not really. But hey that's not stopping us. To the Arowana mall it is

15 minutes later
3 and 8 both make it to Arowana mall
3: Lets pass the time in the arcade. I guess we can try a few games here. I'll warn you though. There isn't too much here
*camera zooms out to a giant ass arcade*
8 is left in awe seeing how much there is to the arcade
3: Lets go get us some game passes
He starts walking to a machine. 8 then follows him. She then sees him put some money inside the machine and after a few seconds a plastic card then comes out. 3 grabs the card
3: Here you go 8
He then hands her the card
8: What's this for
3: You'll see. Follow me
He then proceeds to walk to a nearby game
3: This right here is a game called Ultra Stamp Slam
8: Ultra Stamp Slam ? What's it about
3: Just grab this toy hammer
He then grabs a toy replica of the Ultra Stamp Special
3: Then you just whack the little toy figures that pop out of the little holes. When you do then you get points for it. Try to get as many points as you can. It's a fun and easy game to play
He then passes her the toy hammer. She then takes the hammer from 3. She looks at the little holes waiting for one to appear

She waits for a few seconds. Only for nothing to pop out
8: Why aren't they popping out 3
3 realized what he forgot
3: Can I borrow that card really quick 8
She then gives him the card. He then puts the slides the card inside the scanner. A green light then flickers and music can be heard from the machine. It starts to count down
Machine: 3...
3: Get ready
Machine: 2...1...GO!
From the small holes popped out toy inklings, jellyfish, and even salmonids. 8 remembering what 3 told her to do, starts hitting them one by one. 3 sees the point counter going up
3: Nice one 8. Keep it up
More of them keep popping up. 8 managed to keep up with them for her first time playing the game. After a few more seconds pass, the toys kept on appearing and disappearing faster than usual. So fast that 3 had a hard time seeing where each one was at. But 8 however kept playing, as she continued the machine made them popping up go even faster. So fast that 8 had to get serious
8:
3 silently scoots back. He doesn't want to end up like the toy figures that 8 was destroying. After a few more seconds of what could literally be described as impossible, the machine then stopped. All while showing a brand new high score. The original being 10255 to now being 19420. 3's eyes felt like popping out of his sockets. He looks at the high score, then back to 8, then back to the high score and back to 8
3: HOW !
8 then gives a confused look to 3
8: Did I do something wrong ?
3 stays silent for a few seconds
3: No....I mean....I don't know. Lets just try another game 8

She waits for a few seconds. Only for nothing to pop out

The machine then starts by having a few toy inkling and jellyfish popping out of the holes. 8 does what she was told. She hits them with the toy hammer. As she hot them the score was going up
3: Nice. Keep going 8
She nods her head. She is extremely focused on the game at this point. She kept going and the score kept going higher and higher. After a few more seconds a toy figure Salmonid pops out of one of the holes. 8 notices it and stops. 3 notices that she stopped hitting them. He didn't understand why
3: Whats wrong. Why'd you stop?
She doesn't reply back
3: Hello. You in there 8
He said while waving his hands in 8's face
3: Is there something the matter? You look petrifi-
He then looks at the machine and sees what 8 was staring at. He looks at 8 and back at the toy figure. He does this a few more times and then puts the pieces together. He then sees her with aggressive eyes and her pulling the hammer as far back as she can. She was in the process of slamming the hammer on it. With that much force that she had she could destroy the machine. And 3 knew that
~slow motion~
3: OHH SHIT
He quickly gets out of the way of 8 and the machine. 8 then proceeds to destroy the Ultra Stamp Slam machine with one hard smash
3's perspective:
"How it felt like for 3"
After a few seconds 3 gets off the ground and looks at 8 in shock
3: How......how the shell did you destroy that.
8: I did as you said. You said to hit whatever pops out of the hole
3: That's not my concern ! How did you break the machine... WITH A TOY HAMMER
She then looks at the mess she made
8: I....guess I might have gone a little too far with that last one
3 ignores her comment. He is busy trying to figure out what he is going to now. 8 had just destroyed an arcade machine in front of him. Before he could really think he managed to hear voices
Person 1: Anyone hear that loud noise
Person 2: I think it came from over there
3 hear them quickly grabs 8's hands
3: Hey 8. There's a much better game over there. Let's go play
He said while quickly pulling 8 away with him

Outcome
3: Well.....that was something I didn't expect to witness. But let's try a game that hopefully doesn't involve anything like that.
