The best way that anyone could describe
Life, with all of its setbacks
Is a free fall with no climax
And the bitter truths that you've got to imbibe.
We do dominantly feel
So scared, yet still so hopeful
Of the mind playing an unending reel
To encompass visions that are doleful.
Sometimes sleep is the only available escape
But life's too cruel to grant it so easy
To be captured inside a prison of haunting mindscapes,
Doesn't make the fall any less greasy.
You can't cry for help, not really
For the murk it's laden with is enough for it to drown
And finding life guards is difficult, clearly
Where no one wants to save even themselves
From the abyss deep down.
Maybe we could own the world, bend
The way we look down upon ourselves; but so strange
That there's a spoiler which shall never change:
We all die in the end.

I mean, it's true, isn't it? What's the point of trying to be better people when in the end, it's all gonna be history and forgotten anyway? That's a question everyone asks themselves at some point.
And I won't claim to know the answer, because I don't. That's just it. I don't know if there's a point, but until I find a definite answer to my question, I shall keep trying. To do everything I can: which is to be the best version of me.
