"Now I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride."

Everyone clapped as the newlywed couple kissed, sealing their marriage. They looked into each others eyes, their love and affection for each other evident on their faces.

Hinata stood to the side, dressed in her bridesmaid dress and holding a beautiful bouquet as she looked at her two friends with a smile.

Naruto and Sakura made their way down the aisle to the reception hall where the lunch was being held. They both were looking so good tegether. Sakura's long wedding gown trailed behind her as she walked.

Hinata was looking at them as she also imagined walking down that aisle with her future husband. She blushed at the thought and at the image of Sasuke which flashed in her mind.

She turned her head to the right and saw him also watching the couple with a smile. Then he fixed his gaze on her and started to walk towards her.

He smiled at her when he reached her and offered her his arms. She looped her arm with his.

"I missed you," Hinata said, looking at him with a smile.

"Me too." He said and then leaned down to kiss the side of her temple.

It had been three months since he left the village for another mission. He came to the village to attend his best freinds wedding even though he didn't complete his mission. He arrived this morning and Hinata was busy with Sakura so they couldn't meet or exchange a few words. He had left in search of the third Otsutsuki who attacked the village. Urashiki Otsutsuki.

A chill went down her spine at the thought of him. She really didn't want to think about him and really wished that she never had to encounter him again. She shook off her thoughts and took a breathe.

"Are you alright?" Sasuke asked as he gazed at her with worrisome eyes. Hinata looked at him and thought how this man had come to love and care for her. The man who everyone thought of as a monster, that man who never showed anyone any emotions. This man was now worrying about her and caring for her.

Who would've thought that Sasuke Uchiha was capable of loving, caring and worrying about someone. And Hinata was glad she was that someone who Sasuke loved and cared for. And Hinata loved him with every fiber of her being.

"I am alright," she said as she gave him a bright smile.

He nodded and then they followed everyone to the reception hall.

Sasuke saw Hanabi and other Hyuga clan members there and remembered the time when she became the head of the Hyuga clan four months ago. Hinata had told him about her fight with the former Hyuga head, Hiashi Hyuga.

When he heard that they forced her to fight by tricking her in believing that her sister died, he wanted to destroy the Hyuga clan for doing such a foul thing. Because he clearly knew how it felt to see your family member being murdered right in front of your eyes.

But Hinata calmed him down and told him her father's reasons to do all this. She told him that this had brought a great change in the Hyuga clan and in herself too. He could see those changes. Her clan had now stopped using that filthy seal and now there was no branch family and main family, the clan was united as an one family.

He could also see the changes in Hinata. She was now more confindent and spoke her mind and presented her views and opinions about the clan. Sasuke really liked that change in her but the shyness in her personality still remained which Sasuke was glad that it was there.

They both were standing with crowd as the bride and groom danced together. Then soon other couples joined and started dancing.

"Why are you both standing here and not dancing?" Kakashi's voice grabbed their attention from the dance and they turned to the Hokage. Sasuke ignored him and turned back to observe his surroundings and Hinata just smiled at Kakashi.

"Hinata-chan, do you want to dance?" Kakashi asked. Hinata remained silent, she didn't know how to answer him. She did want to dance but she knew Sasuke wasn't comfortable in doing that.

So she just smiled and said, "Its fine, Kakashi-sensei."

Kakashi sighed and nodded before going to the table where all the other Kages were sitting.

Hinata looked at the other couples dancing and couldn't help but sigh.

Sasuke noticed that and asked, "Do you want to dance?"

Hinata looked at him a little surprised that he actually asked that. Hinata nodded her head shyly. Sasuke chuckled lightly and said, "Then you should've said so."

Hinata smiled and looked up at him, "Sorry."

"Come on," he said and took her hand and led her to the dance floor. In an instance, she could feel everyone's eyes on them and she felt her cheeks getting red. They danced for a few minutes when Hinata said, "Sasuke..."

Sasuke looked down at her and saw her struggling with her words.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Um... How long will you stay?" she asked as she looked away, not meeting his eye. She knew she couldn't be selfish with him, he had missions to do which means leaving the village for a long time. But her heart ached whenever she thought of them not meeting for so long.

"I'll leave the day after tomorrow," Sasuke said after a moment and when he saw her taking a deep breath, he then added, "But there's something I have to do before I leave."

Hinata looked at him curiously and asked, "What?"

"I have to talk to your father who is shooting daggers at me with his eyes," he nodded in the direction of her father and Hinata turned to see her father looking at Sasuke like he'd kill him in an instance.

Hinata unknowingly gulped and tried to take her hand out of Sasuke's grasp but he tightened his hold, blocking her from leaving. He smirked at her and Hinata blushed.

Soon the dance was over and everyone headed to their tables to offer their toastes to the bride and groom. Soon the whole ceremony was over. Hinata and Sasuke also left and decided to take a walk home in the cool summer evening while enjoying the sunset.

Hinata looked at him and saw him fidgeting with his bowtie. He was frowning for some reason.

"Whats wrong?" she asked.

Sasuke's attention snapped to her as if he was in a deep thought.

"Its nothing." He muttered out.

"Let me..." she trailed off as she undid his bowtie, but said, "If you have anything on your mind you can tell me. You know that right?"

He smiled at her and nodded his head as he said, "I know."

"Then what's bothering you?" she asked with a smiled and gave him his bowtie which he shoved in his pocket. He smiled back at her and took her hand in his as he led her to where he used to train as a kid.

It was the place where his father acknowledged him for the first time.  The sun was nowhere to be seen but the remnants of its light were still scattered around the sky, making it even more beautiful with all the colors merging together to make the night sky.

"What are we doing here?" Hinata asked him curiously but instead of answering her, he took both of her hands and squeezed gently.

"I am not going to talk in circles and I don't know how to say all those sentimental things. So I am going to tell you exactly whats in my heart,"  he paused and looked in her lavender eyes.

"I love you, Hinata." He paused for a moment but then continued, "You are more than just my love, you are always and so much of everything. The thing I needed so desperately, but never knew untill I felt it."

Just as the words slipped through his lips and reached her ears, she stopped breathing. She forgot how to breath and the world stopped around her.

"You brought me back from the deepest part of my soul. You gave me a purpose to live and hope. Because of you I feel like myself again and I want to spend my whole life with you."

Hinata only listened to his words, not saying anything. Her heart was beating fast and somehow she knew what exactly Sasuke was trying to say.

"Hinata." He said and she blinked as she looked in those dark orbs . Her eyes trailed to their intertwined hands but then Sasuke removed his one hand as he slipped his hand in his pocket to get something out.

His hands were shaking, Hinata noticed. He then took out a velvet box and opened it with shaky fingers. But as soon as he opened, a ring fell out of it and tumbled to the ground as it rolled away.

"Damn it!" Sasuke hissed as he looked for the ring. He had opened the box upside down which caused the ring to fall out. Hinata couldn't help but giggle at Sasuke's nervousness. It was the first time she had seen him nervous. It was kinda cute.

"This isn't funny, " he gritted out but his ears were red. He was embarassed. He was still looking for the ring on the ground when Hinata crouched down to his level and took his face in her hands to make him look at her.

Sasuke halted his search and looked in her lavender eyes and they seem to glow. She smiled at him and a small blush formed on her cheeks.

"Yes."

"What...?"

"A thousand times yes." Her eyes were filled with unshed tears but her smile grew brighter and brighter. With that, she kissed him with everything she got. Sasuke deepened the kiss and she looped her arms around his neck.

His every kiss seemed to say 'I love you'.

They broke the kiss and leaned their foreheads against each others. "I love you, Sasuke-kun."

He could only smile because he no longer had any words to say, he was happy.

They reamined like this for few minutes, then stsrt searching for the ring. They eventually found it at night fall. It fitted her perfectly.

Next Morning

Hiashi Hyuga was sitting down in front of the tea table as he glared at the young man infront of him. Beside the young man sat his daughter who was fidgeting with her fingers, not meeting her father's eyes.

There, on her left hand's fourth finger laid a sparkling ring which glinted in the sunlight that poured in through the open courtyard.

Hinata looked between Hiashi and Sasuke, not knowing what to say to stop their glaring. Right now they were in a glaring contest, in which no one wanted to loose. The atmosphere around them was so tense that she could feel it int he air.

She worked up the courage and cleared her throat. But both of them ignored her. Sasuke had promised that he would behave and not let his Uchiha attitude get the best of him. But here he was.

Hinata tugged at Sasuke's sleeve to grab his attention. Finally he looked away from Hiashi and saw Hinata silently pleading with her eyes to give in. He sighed and offered her a smile as he took her hand in his.

Then he turned to Hiashi and said bluntly, "I love Hinata and I want to marry her."

Hinata blushed at his blunt words but said nothing. She silently prayed that her father wouldn't doubt Sasuke's intentions and  won't refuse this marraige. But ofcourse, life wasn't that easy.

"And I say no." Hiashi also bluntly refused.

Hinata's heart sank, "Father..."

"Why should I entrust my daughter's future to a man who doesn't even know where his home is. Who is always wandering here and there, having no place to go. And not to mention your past. You were a S-ranked criminal and killed countless people. I don't know what my daughter saw in you and chose you to be her future life partner."

Hiashi's every word was meant to hit where it hurt the most. He wanted to provoke the Uchiha and wanted to push him past his limits.

He continued on, "In the eyes of the Hyuga clan, you are a criminal. Your crimes may have been pardoned but you are still that same Uchiha. So why should I give my daughter to a criminal?"

"Father, he is not like that. I--" Hinata started to defend Sasuke but was cut off when Sasuke placed a hand on her shoulder. She turned to him and saw him calm and collected as if Hiashi's words didn't affect him at all.

Sasuke looked at the former Hyuga head in the eye and shifted himself to sit in a respectful manner.

"I have no words to deny your accusations. They are all true. And I don't have any solid proof or solid evidence to show that I love your daughter. The only thing I have right now are my words."

He looked back at Hinata and smiled at her as he said, "I promise to protect, love and cherish her. I'll not let any harm come to her. And I love her."

Hinata saw the pure love in his eyes and fought back tears which threatened to fall down her cheeks.

He then turned his gaze to Hiashi and said, "You gave me your word when I saved your life an year ago. You said that in return of me saving your life you'd do the same. And will come to my aid no matter what. A life for a life."

Hiashi said nothing, he only stared at the Uchiha with a blank face.

"Hinata has become my life now. Without her I am nothing and with her I am everything," he then bowed his head and said, "Please don't take my life away from me."

Hinata's eyes widened as she saw him bow in front of her father. Her tears now ran freely down her cheek as she heard him say those words. He truly and sincerly loved her. He bowed down his head just so that he could be with her.

Hiashi saw him bowing his head and heard his words. There was no hint of lie, nothing but just truth and sincerity. He knew that Sasuke Uchiha had changed. He was now a completely different man, he knew it from the moment he saw him yesterday dancing with Hinata. The way he looked at her defined everything.

He just wanted to test him and wanted to know how he would react if someone brought his past infront of him. He expected Sasuke to lash out but nothing like that happened. Instead he was calm and collected, which only indicated that he left his past behind him. It no longer trailed after him.

"Get up." Hiashi said.

Sasuke looked up at him and saw him smiling at his daughter. "You have chosen right, my child. I won't stand in your way anymore."

A wave of relief and happiness washed over her as she smiled brighter with her eyes glazed with tears.

"Thank you, Father." She said as wiped her tears away.

Sasuke turned to Hiashi and cleared his throat, "I am leaving tomorrow and I would like to take Hinata with me."

Hianta felt happy that Sasuke was thinking of her to tag along. Now she wouldn't have to feel lonely.

Hiashi remained silent for a moment as if contemplating over his words. Then he sighed and said, "Just like I said, I won't stand in your way."

Hinata let out a breath of relief but the happiness was shortlived as Hiashi added a 'but'.

"But," he said, "I have one condition."

Her heart pounded at what her father was about to say. She swallowed hard and waited for her father to continue.

"You have to marry her first. Come back next time and we'll talk about that later."

"Father..." she pleaded with her father but to no avail.

Sasuke sighed and turned to her.

"Hinata," he said, "If you are not ready then I can wait. But I am ready to marry you right now."

Hinata remained silent for a moment but she then looked in his eyes and said, "I am ready, Sasuke-kun. I'd marry you in a heartbeat."

They turned to Hiashi who looked irritated and pursed his lips in a thin line. "I didn't mean today. There will be a lot of arrangements to do and alot of others things."

"Father, I don't want to have a fancy wedding. I just need to take my vows and nothing. And if I don't go with him tomorrow, I dont know how long he'll be gone. Father, I want to see the whole world and all the wonders and I want to meet new people, see new places. And moreover, I want to be with him."

So after a lot of convincing, Hiashi gave in and granted them to marry tonight. They invited their close friends and family members. The wedding was held in Hyuga Compound. Hinata wore her mother's wedding dress which seemed to made especially for her as it fitted her body perfectly. Sasuke wore a Yukata which Naruto had given him, from where did he find that, no one knows.

Just as the clock struck 8:00, their wedding ceremony started and soon they were married.

Hinata Hyuga was now the wife of Sasuke Uchiha and a member of the Uchiha clan.

It was happiest night of Hinata's life as she became the wife of Sasuke Uchiha and later that night, as Sasuke made love to her, making her world's happiest woman.
