The more we encounter defeats—loses and downfalls the sweeter victories taste like. The moment your mouth has adapted to the taste of bitterness that the once in a lifetime taste of sweetness is now equivalent to a bliss. On the other hand, the more we are spoiled with consistent winnings and heart warming recognitions and praises, the more we sometimes forget the feeling of losing, and when we finally get a chance to meet defeat face to face, adjusting to the agonizing truth is now a very hard thing to do.
We may be feeling crestfallen today because we did not win, and we may be feeling extremely blissful because we triumphed. Don't we ever forget that tables turn in the most unexpected ways, so it's never safe to assume when the race isn't yet over.
