Hey guys! So, this is more of a filler chapter, but I've had quite a few requests to do a chapter with just the Wolves, so that's what I've attempted to do.

Hopefully you enjoy, and get to know the Pack and the Minami Wolves a little better ahaha xP

OH! And also, I've started reading this AWESOME book by my friend XxMeWxX4444. It's called Errand, and it's a Pokemon Fanfic. Now, normally I absolutely HATE Pokemon fan fics, I've never ever liked one before, but I LOVE this one! It's already one of my favorite stories hahaha, and it's only two chapters at the moment :P I highly recommend it to Pokemon lovers :)

Third Person’s POV

“Ace man!” Keilor drawls, tail wagging lazily. “How ya been?”

Ace sends his best friend an unimpressed look.

“Keilor my friend” he greets the lanky, grey Wolf. “I am well. How are you?”

“Can’t like, complain or anything” comes the chilled reply, as a small blur zooms past Keilor, making him blink and shake his head.

“Chi-chan!” a voice calls excitedly, making the young caramel Wolf glance down from admiring Jet’s uncomfortable looking face.

“Huh?” he asks, looking around wildly, before spinning in a circle and looking underneath his legs. “Who said that? Hello? Hellooo?! Jet-chan? Did you hear someone calling me? Coz I really think I did! Don’t look at me like I’m craz- AAAARRRGGHH! Something just touched me Jet-chan! I think it was a mouse! Or a rat! Or a shark!”

Jet rolls his golden eyes, releasing a low sigh.

“Sharks only live in water kid” he reminds Chi in his deep voice, raising an eyebrow at the young Wolf.

Chi sweat drops.

“Uh oh” he whispers, ears lying back against his head. “I think a shark crawled onto the land and attacked me! AAAARRRRGGHH! Milady! Milady! Milady!”

Ashley gives the caramel Wolf a deadpan look, her head currently stuck in a headlock, with Saffire scruffing up her hair and laughing loudly.

“Yes Chi?’ she sighs, having heard his crazy babble the moment it started.

“I just got attacked by a land shark!” Chi exclaims, eyes wide with fright. “We’re all gonna die and it’s gonna be so, so scary coz sharks are meant to swim in water, not dirt and-”

“Chi-chan! It’s just me!” the voice laughs, making Chi pause, before looking down at his leg.

His aqua eyes land on the orange hair of Tsumetai, green eyes sparkling happily as the Chibi grins up at his little brother.

“Tai-chan!” Chi cries, leaning down and nuzzling Tsumetai affectionately, making both of their tails wag so fast, they become blurs.

“I’m not a land shark Chi-chan!” Tsumetai barks, holding Chi’s head in his tiny hands. “Coz if I was I’d be way bigger and I wouldn’t have a fluffy tail and I would have really big, scary teeth and I’d be swimming around and I wouldn’t have legs and-”

“And you’d have a big, pointy fin on your head” Chi continues rapidly, eyes wide. “And you’d have water breathers-”

“Gills” Jet corrects, looking tired as he sits back on his haunches and watches the two Wolves before him talking at a million miles a second.

“-And you’d be really scary” Chi barks excitedly, “And go rawr, rawr, rawr and you’d be eating me and I’d be scared and then Jet would eat you and then Atsui-chan would get mad and then-”

“Wait a second!” Atsui interrupts, stomping over to Chi, an anime vein appearing on his forehead. “Chan?!”

“And then Atsui-kun would eat Jet” Tsumetai giggles, running over to his fuming partner and wrapping his arms around Atsui’s leg. “And then Ashley-chan would have to eat Atsui-kun!”

“Yaayyyyyy!” Chi cheers, bouncing in a circle. “Lady Ashley wins! Yayyy! Yayyyy! Didja hear that Milady? You win! Milady? Milaaaaady? Milaaaaaaaaaaaady?!”

“Shut up kid!” Kai suddenly snaps, bearing his teeth at Chi, multiple anime veins on his forehead.

“Don’t snap at the kid Kai” Jet rumbles, immediately leaping to the younger Wolf’s defence. “Or I’ll snap you…..”

Kai sneers, his lips pulling back slightly.

“You don’t have it in you Gigantor” he laughs nastily, pausing when someone clears their throat.

“Kai” Fang addresses, raising an eyebrow as she sits before the now silent Wolf. “He’s just excited, leave him alone.”

Kai stares at Fang, red eyes wide, before sighing lightly.

“Fine” he mumbles, growing an anime vein as Tsumetai and Chi begin giggling behind his back.

“Kai-chan is whipped Jet-chan” Chi whispers loudly, making Jet laugh and Kai’s shoulder slump.

“Kai?” Fang asks, making the muscled Wolf’s head snap up.

“I’m not whipped little lady” he growls, making Fang chuckle. She scoots over and snuggles up to Kai, making him freeze, unsure of what to do.

His eyes dart around frantically, taking in the amused faces of Chi, Jet and Tsumetai, and the blank look Ace is giving him.

Ace suddenly sends Kai a smirk, making the brown Wolf’s blood immediately boil. Who was ace to judge him? He had a mate too!......Not that he really showed her much affection in public.

Kai sighs, resting his head on top of Fang’s. He couldn’t help it. She was too pretty and alluring to resist.

“How wonderful for my sister” Rei sighs dreamily, leaning against Ace and gazing up at him lovingly. “She’s found a loving mate in Kai, which surprises me, but still, awww.”

Ace rolls his visible eye, unable to restrain himself from chuckling in amusement.

“Yes, good for big, bad Kai” he mutters. “I am sure your clueless sister will be quite happy with the angry, blood thirsty oaf.”

Rei wrinkles her nose and gives Ace a disapproving look.

“How horrible Ace” she scolds, catching Ace’s attention with her tone. She always called him Ace dear.

“I am happy that my sister has a mate who isn’t afraid to show her affection in the presence of others” Rei continues, lavender eyes filled with disappointment, something that stings Ace in the heart. He didn’t want to disappoint his Rei.

“You’d do well to learn a thing or two from him” she concludes, turning around and, with a flick of her fluffy tail, stalks away in a huff.

Ace’s neck wrenches around to watch her disappear into the Village.

“Rei?” he calls, ears now pricked straight up. “Rei?!”

“Heheh, looks like you blew it Ace-chan” Kai laughs roughly, making Ace growl. How dare Kai mock him? It was his fault Rei was upset anyway.

“Jet-chan?” Chi asks, making the large Wolf groan and throw his head back to look up at the sky. “Does Aiti still love Ace-chan? Is she gonna leave him for another Wolf coz he’s such a jerk? Will Aiti and Ace-chan ever have baby Aiti’s and Ace-chan’s now? Do you think land sharks will ever be real?”

Ace blinks, hearing the young Wolf’s words. Could Rei really be so angry that she’d run off to another Wolf?

“Don’t worry Ace” a silky voice chimes, making the navy Wold look to his left.

“Women can be very temperamental” Aki croons, blinking his Sapphire eyes prettily. “You need to treat them with love and respect. Rei is a lovely creature, and needs to be treated as such. She’s full of love and generosity, and any Wolf would be lucky to have her. I suggest you go after her and-”

“I hope you realise that she is still my mate Aki” Ace growls, rising to his feet and glaring at the beautiful black and white Wolf sternly. “You cannot have her. I am going to go and find her.”

Aki chuckles and shakes his head.

“Oh please Ace” he sighs dreamily. “I’m not interested in your lovely mate at all. She’s not really my type.”

Ace merely rolls his eyes, trotting off to go and find his mate before someone else decides to take her for themselves.

Not that he’d seen any other Wolves in the Leaf Village, but he knew of a few Ninja Hounds lurking here and there.

“Yo!” Tiez barks, looking up at a silent Shimei, as he crunches an apple. “Does this tall guy ever even speak?! He’s like a mute or something.”

Tamashi peeks around Kurai and grins at Tiez, razor teeth showing.

“Hän tekee puhua” he chuckles, oblivious to the strange look Tiez gives him. “Hän on vain vahva, hiljainen tyyppi.” (He does talk. He’s just the strong, silent type)

Tiez blinks a few times, before screwing her nose up at Tamashi and shaking her head.

“Hey!” she calls, addressing everyone around her. “So, there’s one guy that doesn’t speak, and then there’s this fool, who only speaks another language? Isn’t there anyone normal here?!”

She flashes over to Tamashi, sending him a critical look and making him sweat drop.

“Seriously, I have no idea what the hell you just said” she barks in his face, before bounding back over to Shimei and head butting his leg.

“Speak!” she commands, glaring up at Shimei’s calm face. The red head looks down at her for a moment, taking in the cute scowl on her face. He suddenly smiles at her and slowly bends down to pat her.

Tiez freezes as Shimei gently pats her head, scratching behind her ear and stroking her cheek, before straightening up and resuming eating his apple.

Tiez’s eye twitches, before she slumps against Shimei’s leg, eyes half closed. She giggles shyly, looking up at Shimei with what can only be described as love.

“He’s not really your type kiddo” Aki chuckles, sliding in beside Tiez and grabbing her tail in his mouth, dragging her away from the tall red head.

“No!” Tiez barks, kicking her legs in the air as she is dragged across the ground on her back. “Let me go Aki, you dumbass!”

“Whoa man” Keilor breathes, shaking his head and growing dizzy from the motion. “Such like, language. On a kid.”

Chi and Tsumetai watch the shouting Tiez with wide eyes, as Jet sends the purple Wolf a disapproving look. He didn’t want Chi to be tainted by her brash and rebellious attitude.

“Ruff!” a voice barks, making all the Wolves’ ears prick up. “Ruff ruff!”

“Akamaru!” Kiba calls delightedly, happy to have his best friend with him again. He wasn’t sure how much more of the Minami’s and their Wolves he could take.

The large white Ninken soon appears in sight, brown ears flopping as he bounds towards Kiba.

As Kiba leans down to pat Akamaru, the Ninken tackles him to the ground, growling something about not appreciating being forgotten back at the house.

“Akamaru!” Tiez barks excitedly, suddenly kicking Aki away from her and leaping to her feet.

Akamaru freezes, recognising the young Wolf’s voice. He trembles slightly as he turns around to make sure, sweat dropping when he sees the smile on her face, and the determined twinkle in her eye.

Tiez lowers herself to the ground, ready to pounce on her beloved Akamaru. He was cute and innocent, a complete opposite of the purple Wolf. And for some reason, she found herself attracted to him. Too bad she had no idea about the right way to get a man.

As Akamaru makes the mistake of turning and running, Tiez immediately leaps after him, zooming past the Minami’s with her incredible speed, all thoughts of Shimei vanishing from her mind.

She had a new target in mind.

The Minami’s and Kiba soon decide to head off, leaving the remaining Wolves to do whatever they please, with the stern warning to ‘behave’. Whatever that meant.

Keilor looks up at a nearby wall, spotting some sort of poster advertising something called the Make Out Paradise movie. He trots over to the wall and sits back on his haunches, tilting his head and gazing at the poster through hooded eyes. He doesn’t move, seemingly transfixed on the large piece of paper.

“Well, what’re we gonna do Chi-chan?” Tsumetai asks his younger brother, crossing his arms and leaning against Chi’s foreleg.

Chi cocks his head, ear flopping cutely as a look of deep thought crosses his face.

“I feel like flying today Tai-chan!” he eventually decides, giving the amazed Chibi a closed eye smile.

“You can fly Chi-chan?” Tsumetai whispers, eyes round with wonder. Jet rolls his eyes, wondering how the two brothers had managed to survive for so long. They were both dense in the head. Though Jet found it irritatingly endearing on his young companion.

“Of course I can!” Chi laughs, tongue lolling as he jumps to his feet. “And I bet you can too Tai-chan! We’re part Butterfly! We can fly and swim and eat sandwiches!”

“What kind of Butterfly can eat sandwiches?” Kai asks, giving Chi a ‘you’re crazy’ look.

“Millaisiaperhonenvoiuida?” Tamashi adds, looking perplexed. (What kind of Butterfly can swim?)

“C’mon Tai-chan!” Chi calls, bouncing up and down excitedly. “I’ll show you how I can fl-”

Chi suddenly freezes, eyes locked on something yellow flitting past his head merrily. Keiji ignores the small pack of Wolves as he floats by, happier to not have to deal with them at the moment. Especially the little brown one. The young Wolf rather frightened him. Keiji had the feeling he’d been dropped on his head as a young pup. Multiple times. And then maybe trodden under foot as well.

All in all, Keiji found him rather trying and incredibly exhausting. The kid thought he was part Butterfly after all.

“Chi-chan?” Tsumetai asks hesitantly, poking his brother in the leg. “What’s wrong?”

“Keiji-chan!” Chi cries excitedly, making the yellow Butterfly sweat drop. He didn’t expect to be spotted. “Come on Tai-chan, it’s cousin Keiji-chan! He’s our Uncle!”

What?” Fang can’t help asking, sending Chi a bewildered look.

“Ignore them” Kai advises, pushing Fang in the opposite direction with his nose. “If we’re quick, we can get away before the crazies spot us.”

“Uncle cousin Keiji-chan?” Tsumetai asks, climbing up onto Chi’s back, a bright smile adorning his cute face. “Wow!”

“Wait for us Keiji-chaaaaan!” Chi cries, leaping up and bounding after the panicking Butterfly.

“Oh boy…..” Jet mumbles under his breath, before casting a look at Tamashi. “Olin parempi seurata, jotta he eivät satuta itseään. Aiotteko olla kunnossa ystäväni?” (I had better follow them so they don't hurt themselves. Will you be alright my friend?)

Tamashi laughs, nodding his head towards Chi and Tsumetai.

“He ovat vain lapsia” he grins. “He tarvitsevat henkivartija, ei minua. Aion olla hieno kiitos Suihkukone.” (They are children. They need a bodyguard, not me. I will be fine thank you Jet)

With a shrug, Jet takes off after Chi, Tsumetai and a severely frantic Keiji who is determined to lose the crazy Wolves chasing him.

Tamashi sighs, looking around and wondering just how he’s meant to entertain himself.

Suddenly, something bumps against his leg, making the large black and grey Wolf look down.

He tilts his head, seeing a red rubber ball beside him. Where had it come from? Could he maybe play with it?

“Uh oh” a young voice says, making Tamashi look up. He sees a young girl with long brown hair staring up at him, an unsure look on her face. The toe of her shoe scuffs the ground and she brings a hand to her mouth, obviously slightly afraid of the Wolf towering over her.

“Did you get the ball Taji?” another voice calls, making the girl turn around.

“Nu uh!” she calls back, brown eyes flicking back to Tamashi. “The Doggy has it!”

“A Doggy?” the voice asks, as another little girl with two blonde braids runs over to Taji. She blinks in surprise at Tamashi, before her green eyes fall to the rubber ball at his feet.

Tamashi tilts his head at the two little girls, wondering what they could want with him. They keep staring at him strangely. Had they never seen a Wolf before?

“Oh….Forget it Karina” Taji sighs, shoulders slumping. “Let’s just let the Doggy keep our ball. We can go do something else……”

“Awwwww…..” Karina complains, turning and trudging after her friend.

Tamashi frowns, before leaning down and nudging the ball with his nose, sending it rolling forwards.

Karina jumps as the ball bumps against the back of her foot. She turns around, eyes widening at the sight of the ball.

“Hey Taji!” she cries. “Look! We got our ball back!” Taji also turns around, a smile lighting up her face as Karina lifts the ball up.

She glances over at Tamashi, her smile fading as he stares after them, whining softly. She swiftly yanks the ball from Karina’s hands, making the blonde girl cry out indignantly.

Ignoring her, Taji carefully rolls the ball over to Tamashi. It bumps against Tamashi’s foot again, making him tilt his head.

Why was she giving it back? Didn’t she want her ball? With a sigh, Tamashi nudges the ball back to the little girl, making her clap her hands with joy.

She quickly rolls it back to a confused Tamashi, who just as swiftly returns it with another nudge.

“Aww the Doggy’s playing with us!” Karina cries happily, having her turn at rolling the ball to Tamashi.

To her delight, Tamashi rolls the ball back, beginning to understand that the girls are actually playing with him.

Karina catches the ball and lifts it up, smiling at Tamashi.

“Wanna come and play Doggy?” she asks, making Tamashi pause. He watches as the two little girls giggle and turn around, running in the opposite direction.

He slowly rises to his feet, his tail beginning to wag at the girl’s calls of ‘here Doggy’ and ‘try to catch us Doggy’.

Against his better judgement, Tamashi trots after the two girls, tail wagging as they laugh delightedly at his compliance.

Tamashi’s tongue automatically hangs out of his mouth as he trots along behind the two girls, tail wagging happily as they throw the ball between themselves.

He comes to an abrupt halt, as something white suddenly zooms in front of him, almost knocking him down.

Not a second later, he is sent spinning, as something purple flashes past him.

“Come on Doggy!” Karina laughs.

“Come and play!” Taji encourages, waving Tamashi over.

“P-P……P…l..a…..y” Tamashi sounds out slowly, walking over to the waiting girls and following as they head towards a small playground. “Puh….layy….”

“Akamaru!” Tiez calls, slowly catching up to the frantic Ninken. “Akamaru!”

“Ruff….” he sighs, skidding around corner and narrowly avoiding crashing into a boy with long brown hair and a girl with Chinese style buns in her hair.

“Hey!” the boy growls, giving Akamaru an annoyed look as he zooms by. “Animals…..”

“Watch out!” Tiez advises, leaping up and knocking the girl over, sending her sprawling across the ground.

“I said to watch out!” Tiez calls over her shoulder, landing on the ground and continuing her chase.

“Huh?” the girl asks, blinking rapidly. “Tiez?!”

“Oh” the boy says flatly, deadpanning. “One of Ashley’s Wolves…..”

Tiez slides under a street vendor’s stall, before suddenly screeching to a halt in the middle of the street, making someone trip right over her.

“Hey!” Tiez snaps, glaring at the man as he gives her a bewildered look. “Watch where you’re walking buddy!”

With that, Tiez puts her nose in the air, trying to find Akamaru’s scent. She glances around, confused as to why it has almost completely disappeared.

She casts her violet eyes around the area, studying everything and everyone critically. She raises an eyebrow, as a man reading a newspaper on a nearby bench looks at her. Catching her eyes, he hurriedly raises his paper and continues reading, the paper shaking slightly in his hands.

Tiez slowly walks towards him, ears laid back and eyes narrowed suspiciously.

“Akamaru?” she asks, smirking when the man visibly flinches.

“Gotcha!” the purple Wolf barks, crouching down and leaping at the man eagerly. There is a suddenly puff of smoke, and as Tiez disappears into it, a sweat dropping Akamaru leaps out of it, hitting the ground running.

His feet scrabble at the ground frantically, desperate to escape the fearsome personality of Tiez.

Looking around for another escape root, Akamaru feels his heart jump into his throat, as he hears the dreaded sound of Tiez calling his name from somewhere behind him.

Akamaru turns on the after burners, just about leaving a trail of fire behind him, as he rockets past a few tables set up outside of a restaurant.

A wave of air shoots away from Akamaru as he races down the street, blowing papers, cans and other light items through the air.

“Hey!” an angry voice shouts, as a plate of food is blown into someone’s face.

“AKAMARUUUU!” Tiez howls, skipping down the street and casting the owner of the angry voice a quick smirk.

“Lookin good Boss” Tiez smirks, skipping past Kai and Fang at a leisurely pace, tail flicking through the air breezily.

Kai’s red eyes narrow at something directly ahead of him, his mouth shut tightly closed, so as to keep his words of aggravation and abuse inside. He didn’t want to upset Fang after all.

Fang gazes at Kai with wide eyes from across the table, watching as a glob of sauce falls from his face and lands on what was a pristine tablecloth.

“Uhh Kai?” she asks, trying to hold in her laughter, seeing the serious look on Kai’s face. He did not look impressed, and Fang had the feeling that laughing at him might set his anger off. Something she wasn’t really keen on doing.

“It’s fine” Kai sighs, shaking his head and ridding himself of the meal on his fur.

“Hey!” a woman cries as a piece of meat hits her in the face.

Kai spins around and glares at her menacingly.

“Yes?” he drawls lowly, red eyes open very wide as he stares, unblinking, at the woman.

She hesitates, obviously thinking twice about shouting at the large, muscled Wolf.

“Thanks….for the meat” she mumbles, before turning around.

“Maybe lets just forget about food and go for a walk” Fang suggests awkwardly, watching as Kai slowly turns back around and looks at her, eyelid twitching in irritation.

Kai knew as well as anyone else how short his fuse was, but he really was trying hard not to blow up and kill someone in front of Fang. He was sure she wouldn’t really appreciate the bloodshed.

“Yeah, okay” he eventually agrees, jumping down from his chair and waiting for Fang to do the same, before slowly stalking down the street.

Head held low, shoulders up, Kai glances around at the people in the street, looking as if he can’t choose which one should be his next target.

In reality, Kai was feeling rather relaxed now that he was away from the restaurant. Walking down the street next to Fang was calming his nerves, despite his fearsome, predator-like walk.

Fang sweat drops next to the larger Wolf, watching as he casts his narrowed eyes at a rather fat looking Ninja clad in red and eating a bag of chips.

He seemed rather familiar to Fang, but she wasn’t entirely sure. Had he been to the Land of Ambience back with the other Leaf Ninja three years ago?

“Uhh Kai?” Fang asks, making Kai’s ears flick up as he glances over at the pretty black Wolf. “You look tense. Are you okay?”

Kai tilts his head.

“I’m not tense” he says gruffly, rolling his eyes. “What makes you say that?”

“You look like you want to eat that fat kid” Fang says bluntly, deadpanning as Kai smirks cruelly.

“I’ve always wanted to eat that kid” he chuckles sinisterly, licking his lips. “But Lady Ashley says I’m not allowed to. He’s her friend or something like that.”

Fang laughs lightly, walking closer to Kai and almost making him jump.

Kai swallows thickly, pretending not to notice Fang leaning against him as they stroll down the street.

He couldn’t lose his cool. Not in front of her at least.

“Watch out Kai-chaaaaan!” an all too familiar voice suddenly calls from behind the two Wolves, making Kai scowl.

Before Kai can react, something suddenly falls down on top of him, crushing him to the ground and making his eyes spin dizzily.

“Sorry Kai-chan!” Chi apologises, giving Kai a closed eyes smile as he steps down from his back. “I was trying to fly after Keiji-chan, but I didn’t flap my wings enough! Buh bye Kai-chan! Gotta catch up with Keiji-chan! We’re racing!”

“Hi Fang-chan!” Tsumetai calls, waving merrily as Chi bounds after Keiji, who can’t believe that Chi actually just leapt off of a building, trying to fly after him.

“Bye Fang-chaaaaaan!” Tsumetai laughs, turning around and throwing his arms in the air. “Wheeeeeee!”

Fang sweat drops, looking after the two Wolves in disbelief, before her ice blue eyes drop down to a still dizzy Kai.

“Kai?” she asks softly, nudging him carefully with her nose. Was he unconscious?

Kai’s eyes stop spinning, being replaced by angry red ones. Three anime veins appear on Kai’s forehead, making Fang take a step back from the silently fuming Wolf.

‘Don’t kill anyone’ Kai chants in his head, lips pulling back into a silent snarl. ‘Don’t kill anyone….Don’t kill anyone…..’

“Heads up Kai!” a deep voice warns, making the brown and cream Wolf leap to his feet.

“Jet you idiot!” Kai thunders, as the huge, black Wolf skids across the ground, crashing into him and sending him flying straight into a wall.

“Sorry Kai!” Jet apologises, bounding across the ground, smirking to himself in amusement. “Got two crazy pups to catch!”

Fang sits back on her haunches, ear laid back as she watches part of the wall crumble to the ground, cracks spreading across the whole wall.

“Kai?” she squeaks, not liking the silence. She could just about feel the rage building up inside that building. Any second now……

Fang swiftly dives behind an overturned crate, as Kai explodes out of the wall, breathing heavily and glancing around with wild eyes.

His ears laid right back, Kai whirls around and roars in the face of the nearest person to him, needing to take his frustration out on someone.

“I don’t think so” a voice says, making Kai pause. Closing his huge jaws, Kai looks down at the person he roared at, raising an eyebrow when he sees the scowling face of a familiar pinkette.

A cruel smirk crosses his face. Perfect.

“Hello Sakura” he rumbles, chuckling. “Long time no see.”

“Oh no” Sakura growls back, anime veins appearing on her forehead. “You don’t scare me anymore Kai! Chaa! Payback time!”

Kai blinks in surprise, as Sakura suddenly tackles him to the ground, raising a fist above his head.

Fang winces behind the crate, deciding that she’d really rather not watch her badass mate get beaten up by a teenage girl.

“Wait up Uncle cousin Keiji-chan!” Tsumetai calls merrily, tongue hanging out as the wind blows through his ginger hair. “You’re going too fast!”

“I can catch him Tai-chan” Chi pouts, looking over his shoulder at the tiny Chibi on his back. “Keiji-chan just wants us to follow him.”

Tsumetai blinks, before a bright smile lights up his face and he gives a nod.

“Oh!” he barks. “Uncle cousin Keiji-chan is so cool! He’s showing me around the Village!”

Jet watches on from a nearby rooftop, sweat dropping as Chi sprints across a thin wooden beam, high above the ground. He had the feeling that Keiji wasn’t playing with the two young Wolves, but either trying to lose them, or get them killed.

Why else would he lead them onto a construction site?

Keiji flaps his wings swiftly, zooming through the air above some high wooden beams, little sweat drops spouting from his head. Why were those crazy Wolves still following him? Why hadn’t they fallen off something or crashed into something yet? What would it take to get them away from him? And why was the little orange one calling him Uncle cousin?!

As the wooden beam comes to an end, Keiji keeps going, suddenly veering down and diving straight for the ground.

He smirks internally. There was no way that even that crazy little Wolf would leap from a fifth story down to the ground.

“Hold on tight Tai-chan!” Chi instructs brightly, lowering his head and racing towards the end of the beam. “Keij-chan wants us to try flying again!”

“Yaaayyyyyy!” Tsumetai cries, throwing his arms in the air, as Chi crouches down and throws himself off of the unfinished building, a closed eye smile in place as he falls towards the ground.

Jet’s eyes widen in horror at the sight of Chi plummeting to his death, and immediately takes off, leaping over the edge of the low building and hitting the ground running.

“Wind Style” he mutters as he runs, eyes locked on Chi’s falling figure, “Breath of Wind.”

Jet takes a deep breath, skidding across the ground beneath Chi and exhaling a chakra infused blast of wind. The wind catches Chi and blows him to the right, sending him sailing through the air.

Jet releases a relieved sigh as Chi and Tsumetai scream with delight, before he suddenly slams face first into a steel girder.

“Uunghh….” Jet groans, before falling flat on his back, eyes spinning dizzily as little birds flit around his head.

“That was awesome Chi-chan!” Tsumetai cries, wrapping his arms around Chi’s neck as they land easily on a bush. “You really can fly!”

Chi shakes his head, before jumping down from the bush and glancing around.

“I toldja I could Tai-chan” he grins, tail wagging crazily as his aqua eyes spot a small insect sitting happily on a Lavender plant. “Keiji-chan!”

Keiji jumps with fright, a shiver travelling up his back as he spies Chi and Tsumetai bounding towards him once again.

He briefly wonder why they didn’t die, before leaping high into the air and zooming in the opposite direction of the two determined Wolves.

He’d lose them if it was the last thing he did!

Ace sighs, pushing his way through the crowds of people walking up and down the street, not caring when he knocks a little girl over. All he cares about is finding his Rei.

“Hey!” an indignant voice cries, making Ace pause and glance back over his shoulder. He sees a woman, now holding the crying child in her arms, glaring at him in annoyance.

“You just knocked my daughter over!” the woman snaps angrily. “Why don’t you be more careful you big creature!”

Ace turns all the way around, straightening up so he’s at his full height, and looks down at the woman. He gives her an unimpressed look, the anger slowly diminishing from her face when she sees just how big the navy Wolf is.

“What was that?” Ace asks lowly, leaning down and sticking his nose in the woman’s face.

“U-Umm” she gulps, sweat dropping and taking a step back. “N-Nothing, it was an a-accident I’m sure….”

With that, the woman whirls around and speed walks in the opposite direction, casting wide eyed glances back over her shoulder as she goes.

Ace rolls his visible eye and shakes his head, before turning back around and continuing on his way.

He sniffs the air, trying find Rei’s pleasant scent. He wrinkles his nose, finding it hard to discern hers between all the human, animal, flower and food scents.

Suddenly, Akamaru races past Ace, leaping onto a bench and hurriedly transforming into a human. Akamaru looks around frantically, before spying a newspaper. He reaches a cross the bench and snatches it up, opening the pages and hiding his face behind them.

Ace raises an eyebrow in a silent question, when Tiez comes sliding into his view and suddenly skids to a halt. A human that had been walking trips right over her, making him face plant the ground. Tiez gives the man a dirty look and shakes her head.

“Hey!” she snaps, glaring at the man as he looks up and gives her a bewildered look. “Watch where you’re walking buddy!”

Ace shakes his own head and continues on his way, hoping to avoid being spotted by the young purple Wolf.

Ace trudges through the streets aimlessly, when a familiar scent suddenly catches his nose, making his head snap up.

His eyes immediately land on the beautiful white Wolf a few metres ahead of him. He watches as she pauses outside of the Yamanaka Flower shop, leaning towards a small bouquet of colourful Pansies and Petunias.

She releases a sigh and turns away, slowly heading towards a large water fountain. Her tail begins to wag at the sight of the pretty fountain, a couple of small children leaning in and splashing each other with the cool water.

Ace blinks, switching his gaze from Rei to the flower shop and back. With a deep sigh, he stalks over to the flower shop and sits down in front of the colourful flowers Rei had been sniffing, staring at them blankly.

Should he get them for her? Well, he didn’t have any money, so should he steal them for her.

Ace chuckles humourlessly, sniffing the small flowers. She wouldn’t like that. She was much to kind to enjoy flowers that had been stolen from someone else.

“Hi there Ace!” a bright voice greets the Wolf, making him lean back and blink in surprise. Looking up, he finds himself staring into the grinning face of a familiar blonde girl.

“I didn’t think you’d be the sort to like flowers” Ino giggles, tilting her head and watching the large Wolf with interest. She still found it quite weird talking to Ashley’s Wolves as if they were human, but she was getting there.

Ace sighs, giving Ino a blank look.

“I have no interest in flora at all actually” he informs Ino bluntly, making her sweat drop. “But I had an argument with Rei, and I know that she does like flora. I saw her smelling these ones here and was wondering what to do…”

Ino gives Ace a sympathetic smile, reaching down and picking up the bouquet of flowers.

“Come inside for a second” she instructs, making Ace frown as she disappears into the shop. He didn’t like receiving orders, especially from ditzy young girls.

Against his better judgement, Ace follows Ino inside, seating himself in front of the counter, as Ino expertly ties a pretty red ribbon around the bouquet.

“Here” she smiles, pushing the flowers across the counter. “You go and give these to Rei. She’ll love them, I just know it!”

Ace’s visible eye widens slightly.

“I have no money for you” he informs a still smiling Ino. “I cannot take them.”

Ino shakes her head and waves her hand dismissively.

“Consider them a gift from the Yamanaka Flower Shop” she laughs, trying to shoo Ace out. “I’m happy to lend love a helping hand. Now go and give them to Rei!”

Ace gives Ino a quick thank you, before taking the flower stems in his mouth and racing from the shop, searching the streets for Rei again.

He spots her sitting on the edge of the fountain, looking down into the water, and hurries over to her.

Slowing down, he begins to feel uncharacteristically nervous. Would she be really angry with him?

The navy Wolf’s ear droop down, head held low as he approaches Rei. He clears his throat loudly, catching Rei’s attention.

She turns around, ears pricked up, when she spots a nervous looking Ace slowly walking towards her.

She looks down at him with wide eyes as he stops in front of her, placing the flowers on the stone fountain beside her and sitting back.

Rei’s eyes flick down to the pretty flowers, before she tilts her head and gives Ace a questioning look.

Ace releases a mushroom sigh, before glancing up at Rei sheepishly.

“I am sorry Rei” he apologises lowly. “I should not have said what I did, and I should also treat you better…….Will you forgive me my mate?”

Rei’s eyes begin sparkling, before she launches herself at Ace, knocking him to the ground. She snuggles up to him, smiling cutely.

“Oh Ace dear, I knew you had it in you” she laughs, allowing an embarrassed Ace to climb to his feet. “Of course I forgive you! And you don’t have to change, I love you just the way you are!”

Ace blinks, sweat dropping at the expectant look on his mate’s face. Unable to resist the adorable look Rei is giving him, Ace sighs deeply, shoulders drooping.

“I….I love you as well….” he mutters, bracing himself as Rei launches herself at him again.

Aki grins to himself, watching as Keilor continues staring at the poster with his adorably dazed face.

He figured he could have a bit of fun with the grey Wolf, considering he didn’t seem too bright at all.

Keilor hadn’t moved for at least an hour, seemingly transfixed by the rainbow of colours adorning the movie poster. What he was thinking about, who knew?

“So Keilor” Aki purrs, sliding down from the crate he’d been resting on and sweeping over to the lanky Wolf with a flourish. “Since it seems it’s going to be the both of us, what say you to having some fun?”

Keilor doesn’t even respond, blinking his hooded eyes slowly, staring at the poster before him.

Aki, unperturbed by the Wolf’s demeanour, chuckles to himself. So he was going to play it that way was he?

Aki tilts his head and ruffles up his silky fur prettily.

“You have some very top quality fur there Keilor” he compliments, hooding his sapphire eyes. “I’d say it’s almost as beautiful as my own.”

Aki was lying of course. No fur in the world would ever come close to being as amazing as his own. But a little flattery couldn’t hurt…..

One of Keilor’s ears twitches, slowly drooping further and further down, making Aki sigh. The guy was cute, but didn’t seem to have much going on upstairs.

Aki sighs boredly, giving up on Keilor and the prospect of some fun. He glances around boredly. Where had the others gone? Tiez was always good for some fun, but the crazy pup had run off after that weird Ninken, Akamaru.

One of Aki’s ears pricks up at a slight sound from somewhere above him, making him subtly glance up in that direction.

Smiling to himself, Aki rises to his feet. Seems he was going to have his fun after all.

In a swirling of leaves, Aki suddenly disappears from the street, reappearing on the roof of a nearby building.

“Huh?” a masked man mutters, leaning forwards in his crouched position. “Where’d that other one go?”

“Looking for me darling?” Aki croons, giving the ANBU a fright and making him whirl around.

The man, his face covered by a red and white bird mask, sweat drops and jabs a hand at Aki.

“How did you get up here?!” he questions, sounding perplexed.

Aki shrugs, slowly walking towards the man, a cunning smile on his face and a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“I think the real question is, why are you watching us?” he asks lowly, tilting his head and grinning, flashing his sharp teeth at the ANBU.

“Those people that were with you” the ANBU begins. “My squad and I didn’t recognise them, so we’re just keeping an eye on you all.”

Aki nods slowly, pursing his lips.

“I see” he says simply. “Well, that’s very boring. Let me make it more fun for you.”

Before the ANBU can reply, he suddenly freezes and collapses, dangerously close to having fallen off the building.

“Enjoy that Genjutsu darling” Aki sniffs, flicking his bushy tail. “I made it myself.”

Aki watches as the ANBU slowly slides from the roof of the building, hitting the ground with a loud thump.

The naughty black and white Wolf chuckles, gliding over to the edge of the roof and lying down on his back, head hanging in the air.

“So” Keilor speaks up, catching Aki’s attention. “Is that kid really part like, Butterfly man?”
