Footprints hide
Among the fallen snow
As ever more
Comes floating down.
Winter is nice
It's soft, it's quiet
Outside, at least
I can be free.
Angels, sculptures
Whatever I build
Keep me company
For the time being.
Even now, though I
Have real friends
Sometimes I like
To have time to myself.
But, it's seems
Like I'm not alone
I wonder if the others
Have come to play too.
So I follow the footprints
Before they disappear
And find him sitting
Above, lost in thought.
It's a blizzard outside! I'm glad I took my walk when I could; right now I'd be lost in a world of white.
