"Happy birthday baby" i said to Cortez
My baby boy turned one today it doesn't even feel like a year since i had him though
I tickled him as he just stared
Nigga so mean just like his daddy
I went downstairs seeing Chris in the kitchen trying to make pancakes which was going horrible
He must of heard us cause he turned around washing the sweat off of his forehead
"Wassup man dada tried to cook you some pancakes but as you can see it ain't work so i guess mama gon make em" he said coming over to pick up Cortez
I laughed
"Wanna go see gigi" he asked Cortez walking upstairs to her room
I started on these damn pancakes

Chris's POV
When me and Cortez walked into mama room she quickly cut her phone off putting it away
"Hey my babies" she said trying to kiss Cortez cheek as he moved his head
I don't know why he don't like her
"Sup mama" I said
"Nothing but hey there birthday boy" she said to Cortez
Cortez just looked at her
"Alright now ma he gotta take a bath" i said
"Well why don't you let me give him one but after we eat breakfast" she said
I nodded leaving out the room with him heading into me and Khe room she wasn't finna give my child no bath then he do some she don't like and she try and drown him
I sat down on the bed sitting Tez beside me checking all the cameras in the trap since i ain't really been down there much
Everything seemed to be doing good
"Food ready y'all" i heard Khe yell
I walked downstairs with Cortez seeing my mama coming down after me
While eating Chris mom put some whipped cream on Cortez belly cause him to cry and give her the evil eye to while tryna get out of Khe lap away from her .
"Don't be putting that shit on my son now he don't like that" Khe said picking him up to go put him in the tub
I asked my mom if she could wash the dishes
"Khelani" I said to her
"What man" she said testing the water
"Why you doing all that or she's just tryna build a bond" I said
"Ion care she know he don't like her like that" Khe said
I laughed cause she ain't lying I don't know why he don't like her though

Once we was all had on our shirts with black pants and our red vans .
Had a hard time getting Chris to put this in since we had on red .
Once everybody was ready we headed to the house where the party would be held .
We pulled up and the outside had a sign telling Cortez happy birthday
We walked in and everyone yelled surprised as Cortez laid his head back on my shoulder being shy
"Wassup man happy birthday" my dad said
And the rest of the gang family Rock couldn't make it though since he had an interview Jay told me
I didn't really mind I was real proud of Rock
It was decorated nicely Chris picked out the perfect decorator
While people spoke to Cortez I looked around at the decorations
After eating and letting Cortez open gifts we let the kids run around in the backyard part of the house so they would've wore out
All the ladies where inside cleaning up while the men watch the kids outside .
I haven't saw Chris mama since we opened gifts

"No we are not finna shoot up no kids birthday party Leslie" I said as we drove past the place where they were having Cortez party
"And why the fuck not" Leslie asked
"Are you dumb we could hit a child with a bullet and Cortez is my grandson" I said turning the corner
"I thought the bastard ain't like you" Leslie said
"Leslie just shut the hell up" I said
