Skylar is being released from the hospital to go home today and India is stressing trying to make sure her welcome home party is the best of the best. King on the other hand was trying to make sure that Indias new car was on point. He ordered her a custom G Wagon. It was matte rose gold with black rims with breaks the same color as the truck. The interior was black and white with her name engraved in the driver seat. The truck by itself cost King $300k he got it wrapped and customized somewhere else. The guy who was doing it was supposed to be delivering it to the building that they were having Skylar party at.
Skylar, India, and King were all dressed alike. They were all wearing a black Balmain shirt with Rose gold letters, some black Balmain jeans, and the rose gold (Copper) Nike Foams. Skylar had on a headband to cover the spot where they did her surgery at. They all had on Cartier glasses and rose gold rolexes. India and Skylar had on necklaces and King had on a chain. Their little family was cute. They took pictures before they left the hospital and headed to the building. Lailani was already there helping the people who catered the event set up. King texted Lailani and asked if Skylar gift made it yet. He got Skylar the mini G Wagon. He had it customized just like India's. King was making a lot of last minute calls making sure everything was perfect.
India invited her grandma but she made it clear that her dad can not be there. India feelings are still hurt about the move that her dad pulled. She wasn't about to let it ruin her baby big day though. The lady who was doing the food texted and said that she'll be running a few minutes late because she had to run and get more pans for the Alfredo. The fact that she didn't already have the pans irritated India but, she let it roll of her shoulders. "King the lady who bringing the food said she gone be a few minutes late." India said.
"Really? She had a whole notice and I paid her ass for the last minute booking." King said.
"I know right! She said she ran out of pans for the Alfredo." India said. Lailani was making 7 layer salad and some cream cheese corn. A lady named monique decorated the place. Everything was rose gold and India's cousin did the sweets table. There was going to be Caramel apples, chocolate covered strawberries, oreos, and rice crispies, and there was and cake of course.
INDIA
King drove to the building of the party and I smiled. This event is private invite only so it's really nothing but family. I invited Bria because she has been there for me the whole entire time. She is bringing her 4 year old and her husband. "How you feeling SkySky?" I asked.
"Goooood, I'm so happy to be out of that place mommy." She said, I laughed a little bit.
"I am too baby." I said. King pulled up to the building and we all got out. I helped Skylar out and King grabbed one hand and I grabbed the other. We walked in together as a family. King opened the door and it was dark. Everybody jumped out together and yelled, "SURPRISEEEE." I looked down at Skylar and the smile on her face was priceless. My heart melted we walked in and took our seats at the front of the room. The gift table had all types of bags and boxes. I ordered her a fully furnished life sized doll house. It's getting put together at Kings' house right now. I had the a picture and receipt up here so people could see what I got her.
There were games, small activities, food, drinks, music, and most importantly FAMILY. Lailani came and hugged me and Skylar. "Wassup King." She spoke.
"Wassup Laila." King said.
"Nigga say my full name we not cool enough." Lailani said laughing. King laughed it off and walked outside. I let everybody talk for a lil bit before King came back in and we got started. Lailani was hosting it so she did the talking. "May I have everyone's attention?" She asked. She waited a few seconds for everybody to get quiet before she continued to talk. "First I would like to thank everyone for coming to celebrate the welcoming home for my goddaughter / niece. So we have to be out of the building by 5 and we have a lot of fun stuff to do so we gone go ahead and bless the food so we can eat." Lailani said.
"Skylars mom is going to say our grace so everyone please bow your heads as she bless this food." Lailani said before handing me the mic.
"Our father we thank you for allowing each and every one of us to be able to be here on this special day, lord we know it's been a long battle and things could have been much worse but we thank you that it is not. Lord we thank you for this food, the money to buy it, the hands that prepared it, and the family and friends to eat it with. Lord I ask that you bless the hungry and the homeless that have not and that this food is nourishing to our bodies and fulling to our souls, In Jesus name. Let us all say...AMEN." I spoke into the mic before I passed it back to Lailani.
"We are going to get in line by tables but, first the person we're honoring and her parents will get their plates first then the first table on the left side of the room will fall in line behind them." She said. I grabbed all of our plates and went to fix them. I put some Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo on Skylar plate. I made room for her some corn and I put her some 7 layer salad on a separate plate. I took her plate to her and went back to fix me and King plate. I put some chicken and shrimp Alfredo on both of our plates along with some corn. I fixed our salad plates and Lailani fixed our drinks. I grabbed all of the plates and walked them to our seats. King took the plates of my hand and sat them on the table. Lailani directed everyone in the line and we started eating.
"Mommy, I want my pwesents." Skylar said.
"Eat first then we gone play the games and open your gifts." I said.
"Okaay." She said.
15 minutes later
"At this time we are going start the games. I need two females and two males. This is a little basketball game. I'm going to tie one leg and one arm together so y'all both act as one to shoot the ball in the goal. Trust me it's not as easy as it sound. The winners get to pick a prize and we'll move on to the next game." Lailani said.
She put the mic down and tied the people who were playing together. "Okay here's the ball. It's the first one to make a shot! If both teams make it then it will be the first to 3." Lailani said. "1....2.....3...GO."
Kain and Aaliyah were on one team and Ari and Tae was on the other. Kain and Aaliyah made their shot and Ari and Tae made theirs. So now it was the first to three. Kain and Aaliyah missed their 2nd shot and Tae and Ari made theirs. Kain and Aaliyah made their second shot and Ari and Tae kept missing. It was down to the last shot. Skylar was laughing she enjoyed watching them play. Kain and Aaliyah made the last shot and the game was over. Lailani helped them get untied. "Come over here and pick y'all prize." She said.
"Okay we are running short on time so we are going to let Skylar open her gifts." Lailani said.
"Aye I'll be back, I gotta make a call." King said. I nodded and grabbed Skylar hand and walked to her gift table. I grabbed the first bag and handed it to her. She pulled out the box that was inside it was a little puppy.
"Awwn mommy, I got a puppy." Skylar said smiling. I looked at the name on the bag and I saw that it was from Kain.
"Thank you Kain." I said. I picked up the next bag and it was from my grandma. I handed it to Skylar and she pulled out a red and black True Religion outfit and the bred 11s that just came out. We went through all of the other stuff quickly. She mainly got toys and clothes. I showed her a picture of what I got her and she was just as excited. Lailani got her a whole bunch of stuff. She got her some uggs, cute hair bows, a kitchen set to go with her play house, a couple of outfits, and more toys.
"Now it's time for her big gift. I need everyone to line up so we can go outside." Lailani said. I looked around for King and he was walking in the door. Lailani pulled out two blind folds. She tied the first one around Skylar eyes and she turned towards me with the other one. I was confused but I went along with it. I let her tie the thing around my eyes. King came and held me and Skylar hand and we walked outside.
"Alright on the count of three we gone take the blind folds off...1...2...3." Lailani said. On three they took the blind fold off and I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Ohhh my goddddd." I said with tears in my eyes. There was a matte rose gold Mercedes G Wagon parker with a big black bow and right beside it was a mini version parked right beside it. I turned to King and jumped on him and gave him a kiss. "Thank you so much." I said. Skylar was smiling extra hard.
"Mommy we got match carssss." She said. "Thank you daddy." She said.
"Yeah, thank you daddy." I said to King and winked. He smirked and said, "Chillout ma." Before giving my but a squeeze. He reached in his pocket and handed me the keys. Everyone around was snapping pictures and videos. "Cmon Sky lets pose in front of our whips girl." I said. We both stood in front of our trucks and posed for the pictures.
"King get in the picture." Lailani said. King cake and stood beside me and I acted as if I was going to kiss him on the cheek. Skylar came and took pictures her car came with a remote control but she could also drive it herself. King opened the door for me and I climbed into the driver seat. I pushed the button and started it.
"Come on Sky let's drive around the parking lot." I said. I rolled the windows down she got in her little mini G Wagon and pulled off. She made a big circle around the parking lot and I drove slow behind her.
KING
Seeing India and Skylar happy meant a lot to me. I smiled I rubbed my hands together and watched them drive around the parking lot. Once the got done I loaded Skylar car in India trunk. We went back inside of the building and played the last game. It was something real simple. It was a candy bar game and it went real fast. After everyone was done we started to load India truck with some of Skylars gifts. We put the ones that didn't fit in my car. India helped Lailani clean up a little bit. "Hey, before everyone leave I would like to say thank you all for coming! Skylar and I really do appreciate the unconditional love and support. Most importantly King, we appreciate you! You have been here since day one and never left my side. I appreciate you for that." India said.
"It's my pleasure ma, anything for my girls." I said.
