Chapter 18 : EXAMS
ISABELLA'S POV
It's been exactly 2 weeks since the last pool incident .
Me and Ro ignored and avoided the hell out of each other .
Because finally my mind overreacted and my heart had to listen to it.
We continued acting like it doesn't matter .
I wonder if it affects him just as much as it does to me .
And the fact that for English and Maths Exam , we both had to sit in the same class didn't help at all .
The question , 'who leaked the video?' is still lingering in my mind !
What Ro said about that in cafeteria is also echoing in my mind like anything!
Today is my second last exam ,
Social Studies and I feel like I have forgotten the important dates already .
Right now , my legs are shaking but
at least the good thing is I actually studied to distract myself from whatever was going on in my life .
Funny but true.
Also , people have 'almost' forgotten about my weird clip ,
which is good for me but I still recall the time when I felt completely messed up due to the same .
Also , my friends which includes Lu , Chris , Harv and Marvin are the only ones who are actually interested to be with me .
There are a few others too but they just make small talk .
And for some reasons , Ro's friends are also avoiding me which is a good thing I suppose .
The invigilator hands me my Exam sheet and I start reading the questions .
I kinda get goosebumps just after reading the first question !
Bell think of something which makes you happy .
I try to calm myself after imagining
2 scoops of Chocolate ice-cream with choco sauce on it and eating it with my family.
It kinda works , although I don't know the answer to the very first one ,
I do know the rest of the answers quite well .
After 2 and a half hour , the bell rings and my paper is forcefully snatched from my hand .
I'm kinda satisfied with my answers and happy that I'm done with SST for now .
The next day ,
Apparently nothing interesting happened in that time period .
I'm just hanging out with my friends in the Mall as our exams are freaking over .
But I'm not as happy as I should be , because the blood monster decided to pay me a visit early morning .
I don't think I get major mood swings but most of the times , I do have major back pain and I need a ice-cream or two .
My stomach growls so I decided to eat something first and I didn't even need to convince them about it .
Everyone's ready when it comes to food .
We go to Chipotle and satisfy our hunger while making fun of each other .
"You guys suck , you know that , right ?" Harv points to Chris and me
"I'm very sorry Harv , but I also need to visit home .
I'll call you for sure and once I come back , you'll get your gift as well "
"Really ?"
"Yeah"
"Okay then . Only Chris sucks !"
"Excuse me ! I'm your bestfriend !"
"But she's actually giving me a gift , unlike you and you can't even stay here for my birthday "
"You do know I'm going to Italy with family . Also , I'm meeting Patricia there itself "
"I know I know " Harv pouts
"Come on , stop whining Harv .
You have me , we'll do something fun . Besides they will be missing a
party " , she smirks at us
" Yaa yaa " Chris responds
Another group of students enter the place , whom I recognise from our own high school .
Obviously , this is the nearest mall from our institute , I would have been surprised if I hadn't seen anyone else here .
After we are done eating , we just roam around the mall .
Lu is busy doing her window shopping and I'm here just accompaning them .
I actually want to go back home and crawl back into bed . Then sleep like a panda .
"Look who's here "
The rest of us see where Harv is pointing and see Royal and gang walking in our direction .
My blood boils at his sight ,
"Let's just go the other way "
"You shouldn't be afraid of them " Chris suggests
"Afraid ? My foot . I can walk towards them and pull Royal aside just to kick his ass without even getting scared "
"Oh can you ?" Lucy smirks
"No nope nah "Chris shakes his head
"Do that and I'll give you starbucks treat twice "
"Deal ?" Chris asks
"Deal "
What have you gotten yourself into ?!
Till then , they already noticed our presence .
Few of them act like nothing and
the rest have smirk plastered on their faces .
I don't even look at Ro's face , because as usual he'll be having that blank look where in his mind is anything but blank !
"You can do this " Harv encourages
I suck , Royal suck and we are gonna suck together.
I encourage myself and walk forward .
Their eyes are all on me , not to forget the curious eyes on my back .
I stop at a safe distance and gulp.
"What do you want ?" Fed asks
"Royal " I say
"What ?" Royal asks , his eyes popping out
Just do it , anyway you have been embarassed before , so now you are used to it .
"Can you speak louder? " Ben asks
I grab Ro's hand and pull him forward while whispering "Come with me "
He gives me a look stating,
' Are you fu*king serious? ' and I nod .
He says something like ,
"I'll be back " and I kinda make him run towards the other corner .
I can still feel the eyes , just that instead of on me , it's on us .
His friends move forward , except for Jessica who seems to wait for her dear good for nothing boyfriend .
"What the hell was that ?" He says , and I start to think the one who's experiencing their time of the month is him and not me .
"Nothing , absolutely nothing" , I say.
" Then why did you bring me here ?"
" To show you something"
" And what's that ? "
I smirk and show him my third finger of both the hands !
His expression changes drastically and I walk back to my friends while flipping my hair like nothing just happened right now .
"Okay , you didn't actually kick his ass but you flipping your middle finger at him counts so I think you deserve a Starbucks drink " Lu says while giggling .
We all go to the other side of the mall for playing video games and stuffs .
But my mind is still stuck on the fact that all I want right now is my bestfriend back !

"Aah " I groan .
I came back to the room shortly after my and Royal's encounter because he annoyed me to death just by his mere existence and cramps started to kick in .
Rest of them are still at the mall , bowling I guess , at which I suck anyway so no biggie .
I get up from the bed and start packing stuffs because after a week or so , I'm going back home .
I'm more than excited .
Gosh , I miss my fam just so much !
I still remember how I felt in the beginning when I got here .
I used to cry myself to sleep sometimes just because I missed mom and dad way too much .
I video called them earlier and they are also looking forward to the day
I arrive at my hometown .
Dad is personally gonna take a few days leave from work just to spend some quality time with me .
Also, he'll pick me up and drop me back to the Airport .
But I know being a businessman , it's not easy .
So I'm not gonna expect much but atleast I'll be getting to see them.
Royal's sister texted me to convince Ro to come back for a few days as well , I wonder how I'm gonna actually do that !
I again crawled back into my lair and slept like a baby until Chris knocked the door continuously and tried to ruin my sleep because he forget his goddamn key here itself !
After throwing a glass full of water at him , I freaking slept again .
