there's this feeling;
not harsh but distressing,
not rapt but longing,
rather more perplexing.
it's not hollow but empty.
it renders me needy;
like something is missing,
and its touch is quite gloomy.
but i am not glum,
mayhaps more mum.
it shadows my sun,
eroding my fun.
it is a feeling that
i cannot feel.
nor see it,
or hear it,
or smell it,
or touch it.
i know it's there,
'cause i can discern it.
but i don't know what precisely
'it' is.
how can i when
