so many of y'all seemed super interested in Pleb and Jay?? like?? i'm super surprised honestly? I got all of you guys (even some of the silent readers haha) to comment on the last chapter and voice your thoughts?? wow??
ok so a lot of these ideas are definitely up to change but please don't steal them ;-; I've worked hard on these ideas, and they're still being worked on and improved!! so uh, yeah, give me a bit of leeway here. nothing is set in stone yet.

(SPOILERS IN CASE THIS IS EVER USED IN A FANFIC)
so there are two different tribes on a (currently unnamed) continent. they dwell together harmoniously, rarely fighting eachother and just leaving eachother alone for the most part.
the first tribe is based upon Egypt. it has the same gods and traditions, but instead of people, there are these taller creatures that resemble hybrids of dogs and axolotls. they're bipedal and have three fingers on their "hands", one functioning like a thumb while the other two are fingers.
the other tribe is a mix between various different Indian tribes like Cherokee & the mayan/Aztec cultures. the creatures that are in this tribe are wingless dragons, you could call them. a large percent are feathered and brightly colored like tropical birds.
the two tribes, as mentioned, are very peaceful with eachother. however they have large rules set in place to keep them separated. for example, they have strong borders that are not allowed to be crossed by the other tribe unless it is leader coming to speak with leader and urgencies that could affect the livelihood of either tribe or both. another is that there is no mingling between the two tribes whatsoever, as in they aren't allowed to interact and certainly not relationships (platonic or romantic)
you'll probably be able to tell where I'm going with this.
so of course, Jay and Pleb end up breaking this rule.
Jay is the first to fall in love. Pleb is skeptical at first. He's very concerned about the rules (being the son of the pharaoh and used to closely following rules his whole life). he's also worried about the fact that Jay is both a commoner and that of another tribe. but after awhile of meeting on the border, he too falls in love in time.
they aren't found out, however Pleb starts to have doubts. its against the decades old law, ones that he had been taught to follow with his life.
so, sadly enough, he breaks it off with Jay. he did love him, still does, but he was scared that his own reputation would be destroyed and that it could cause a war.
Jay was devastated and never really recovered.
there's really no happy ending planned for them yet. that's all I've got for now haha
