Da couchpotaato

"I can't believe she just brought him up like that," Ophelia said as she paced back and forth. "She makes me so.. so.. ugh!" She stomped her feet, she didn't know what to do with herself when she got this mad.

"Take it easy," Cory said. "She probably didn't mean it."

"Yeah, right," Ophelia huffed.

"So, what about this Snape dude?" Cory sat up from his laying spot on the grass.

"What about him?" Ophelia sat down next to him.

"What's his deal? Like, why is he over at your house right now having dinner with your family?"

"I don't fucking know," she said. "I swear, sometimes he just comes over to annoy me."

"Oh, I get it!" Cory laughed. "He's got a thing for you."

"What? He's like ten years older than me, what's wrong with you?" Ophelia answered with a disgusted sneer.

"What does your boyfriend think about another man trying to get with you?" Cory smirked.

"Ricky's not my boyfriend!" Ophelia snapped.

"Didn't you guys have sex?" Cory asked, seeming confused.

"So?" She sneered, "there were no strings attached."

"That's like the third guy since you got here, you can't keep playing them like that," Cory stated.

"I'm not playing them, you asshole," Ophelia sat up from her lying position on the grass. "I just recently got out of a relationship, okay?"

"I'm just saying that those guys liked you, how about you give them a heads up about not wanting something serious," Cory said as he threw a rock into the water.

"How about you mind your own fucking business," Ophelia glared at him under her lashes. The sentence seemed to have triggered something in him, as he went rigid and almost threw himself on top of her.

"Despite what you may think, those guys are my friends," he spat as he pinned her to the ground. "I won't let you string them along like they don't have feelings," he growled.

Ophelia's breath got caught in her throat. She was used to Cory's anger issues, but it still took her by surprise every time he got physical with her.

"Get off, Cory, or I might start to think that you're in love with me or something," she smirked.

Cory loosened his grip and rolled off her. "You're a pain in my ass, Ophelia Delisle," he shook his head and sighed.

"But you wouldn't have me any other way, now, would you," Ophelia smiled.

"Fuck you," Cory sneered.

"You're gonna have to get in line, babe," she winked.

Cory rolled his eyes, "let's just go to Margot."

"Yeah, let's," Ophelia sighed as she stood up, dusting some grass off her pants. "Who's Margot?"

𖠇

"Teddy?"

"Ophelia, hey! What are you doing here?" Teddy smiled as he gave her a hug. "Oh! And this is my girlfriend, Margot," he introduced the girl next to him.

"Hi, nice to meet you!" Margot said, a huge smile on her face.

Ophelia looked at her, eyes wide in shock. Margot could most definitely be the most gorgeous human being she had ever laid her eyes on.

"Wow, when God made you he was really showing off," she said without thinking.

"Thank you, Ophelia, you're not so bad yourself," Margot giggled as she pulled her in for a hug.

"Take it easy, Ophelia," Teddy said as he put his arm around his girlfriend, "she has a boyfriend."

"Come on!" Jane shouted from across the room. "We're playing 'Who's got it'."

"Uhm.. nah, I'm good," Ophelia answered.

"Come on, it'll be fun," she said with a wink.

"No, I.. I'm not in the mood," she shrugged.

"You have no choice, babe," Jane said as she put an arm around her. "You're just gonna have to pray that you don't get it."

"Are you guys playing?" Ophelia asked Teddy and Margot as they made their way over to the others.

"Of course!" Margot answered.

"Not me," Teddy said. "I'm babysitting."

"Alright, I'll play," Ophelia sighed. "Where's Cory?"

"Off with his girlfriend," Jane rolled her eyes.

A bottle of Coke was placed in Ophelia's hands as a circle formed around the living room table. Everyone cautiously put their drinks to their mouths, and when all the bottles were empty everyone watched each other, waiting for the first to break. Ophelia could feel her heart in her ears and prayed to both God and Merlin, better to be safe than sorry.

All she wanted was to get shit faced. She accepted whatever was handed to her, and made drinks which was mostly a mixture of everything she could get her hands on. She danced and drank and then danced some more, her body tightly pressed together with strangers.

At the end of the night, Ophelia had completed her mission. She stumbled out of the house, ignoring Margot's attempts to get her to crash on the couch. She didn't feel so light anymore, her head was spinning and her stomach growled, considering she hadn't had any dinner. She started walking down the road, in the direction in which she thought would lead to her home. A car pulled up next to her, a boy her age rolling down the window and sticking his head out in the air.

"Hey, do you need a ride?" He asked as he looked back and forth between her and the road.

She shook her head, too tired to give a real response.

"Come on, you're totally wasted," he laughed, "get in the car."

"I live just up here," she said quietly and walked into the front yard of the next house.

He then stopped the car, stepped out and followed behind her. She glanced at him as she walked up to the porch, her mouth was dry and her heart was in her throat. Her hands shook as she searched her pockets for her key. He was standing too close to her, his breath warm on her neck.

"Stop," she whispered, desperately trying to get her body to keep up with her brain.

"Is that really what you want?" He grinned, "girls looking like this, they only want one thing."

She realized her key was gone, she must have lost it. Her eyes darted wildly around the estate, looking for an escape route. He had trapped her against the door. Adrenaline flooded her system, pumping and beating as if it was trying to escape. Her body wanted to run, scream, fight, but she remained where she was. The adrenaline surged so fast she almost vomited, she could taste saliva thickening in her throat and beads of sweat trickling down her forehead. And then she screamed.

She turned away from him and started banging on the door, screaming, begging someone to please open up. She prayed that her father was still awake, or that her mother would wake from her light sleep. The boy grabbed her wrists and pressed down his nails into her skin. Ophelia's breath hitched at the sudden pain, losing her ability to speak as he continued to turn her around and wrap a hand around her throat. She prayed she had caused enough comotion for someone to have woken up, but if she did, they were taking an awfully long time to respond.

As if God could read her mind, the door behind her opened up and she could see the eyes of the boy widening.

"Let. go." the voice growled and Ophelia realized she was at the wrong house.

The boy let her go and Snape pushed him down the stairs of the porch. He scurried to his feet and Snape was up in his face in less than a second.

"I was just making sure she got home alright, she's had quite a lot to drink," the boy tried to excuse himself.

"If I ever catch you here again, I will personally make sure you never walk again," Snape was spitting venom.

"Why?" The boy asked, gaining some confidence, "you want her all to yourself, is that it?"

"Can't you see the state she is in?" Snape growled. "I wouldn't touch her even if she begged me to," he sneered at the boy, "could you say the same?"

"Whatever," the boy muttered and then returned to his car, speeding away.

Snape scoffed and with three long strides was back on the porch. Ophelia was sitting on the wooden surface, her back against his door and her knees pressed against her chest, blood dripped slowly from both her wrists. He grabbed her chin roughly, forcing her to stare up at him.

"What have you taken?" He asked harshly.

Ophelia shook her head slowly, "everything."

Then her eyes widened. Snape frowned as her chest started to rise and fall more rapidly. She forcefully removed his hand from her face and was gone within seconds.
