Nicole was now alone in the room. Her friends left after chatting with her for a while because they needed to be at the church to await her arrival. She was quite nervous, so she took a glass of wine to help ease her nervousness. Now that she was fully dressed she realized she was getting married to Gabriel and there was no way they could both avoid it, it had to happen.

She sat on the bed with her hands shaking due to how nervous she was when she heard a knock on her door, she was startled and immediately stood up telling whoever it was to come in. The door opened and Jacob, Gabriel's dad walked in. He couldn't hide his look of surprise at first before he composed himself and smiled brightly at Nicole. She smiled back to conceal her nervousness.

"You look amazing," He said walking towards her.

"Gabriel is lucky to have found you... And I'm proud to call you my daughter-in-law." He concluded placing a kiss on her forehead.

Nicole's eyes became teary from his confession.

"Don't cry. You don't want to... How do they say it?... Yeah, I remember now. You wouldn't want to ruin your makeup now, would you?" He joked, causing Nicole to laugh.

She instantly felt relaxed after his joke, maybe she just needed that assurance that everything would be fine.

"Are you ready?" Jacob then asked.

"Yeah. And Jacob?... Thank you." She said pecking him on his cheek.

"I did nothing, my dear." He replied taking Nicole's hand in his as they started their way out of the bedroom.

Gabriel stood by the altar nervously awaiting Nicole's arrival, his palms were already sweaty. He had no idea getting married could be this nerve-wracking. He wondered what was taking Nicole this long to show up.

What if she doesn't want to go through with the wedding?

What if she changed her mind and didn't want to get married to him anymore due to their age difference she doesn't want to be caged by marriage to a man his age even though this was arranged and would only be for some time.

His thoughts were beginning to wear him out when he suddenly heard the music, indicating her arrival. The doors then opened and he saw his dad gracefully walking Nicole down the aisle. She looked like a princess in the white ball gown she was wearing. It was a classic yet modern wedding dress that fitted her perfectly, she has great taste in fashion.

Even under her veil, Gabriel could see how beautiful she was from a distance, her beauty could never be hidden. It reminded him of the first night he set his eyes on her. Although this marriage isn't meant to last, he is proud to be joined on this day with this woman.

They finally reached him, his dad handed Nicole over to him and he thanked his dad while taking her hand.

"You're really beautiful." He said to her.

"Thank you." She replied with a smile.

Nicole was grateful that her face was covered with a veil preventing Gabriel from seeing how tomato-red her cheeks were at the moment. They then turned to the priest and he said,

"Let us begin."

                        ********TIME SKIP********

They were currently at the wedding reception, and over 200 guests showed up at the reception party. Nicole couldn't believe this was her wedding. Never in her entire life did she imagine herself having such an extravagant wedding, this was like a dream. The place looked completely breathtaking and she couldn't help but give credit to the wedding planner who did an awesome job putting everything together.

The wedding reception

The wedding cake

Gabriel and Nicole cut their wedding cake and had their first dance as a married couple.

Nicole was currently sitting at their table because her feet were hurting from dancing with Gabriel, his dad, Charles, and then Rick and it didn't end there, they said hi to Gabriel's relatives, friends, and some business partners until she couldn't take it anymore.

She watched as Gabriel danced with his mom. Helen looked so happy and complete making Nicole smile at how cute the mother and son looked. She couldn't help but take her mind back to the vows they made at the altar. She took an oath in a church, before God and so many people, that was a big step in every relationship. She instantly felt horrible for doing such a thing, they had both lied before God and man while fully aware of their actions.

What would all these people think of her when they find out that all of this was only based on a contract?

She could already imagine how hurt and disappointed they would all be, especially Gabriel's parents, they would be highly disappointed in her. She only prays that day never comes.

Deep down, Nicole wished the circumstances were different. She wished this relationship was true and not based on lies, things would've been a lot different, like the kiss they shared after they were pronounced husband and wife. Gabriel had kissed her like she meant the world to him like he was never going to let go of her no matter what. She was supposed to be happy about it but rather, it broke her heart knowing that that was just a good act for the crowd.

If only that kiss meant something more. If only this marriage was based on true love, she thought to herself making her all the more sad.

She noticed one of Gabriel's bodyguard walk up to him and whisper something in his ear. Gabriel nodded and dismissed the bodyguard before saying something to his mom, then they began walking in her direction.

"We'll be leaving soon," Gabriel said as they reached her.

"I better go change, then." Nicole stood up from her seat.

"I'll come with you," Helen added leaving the reception party with Nicole.

Helen returned back with Nicole who now had her hair down in wavy curls. She was dressed in a nude and black v-neck spaghetti strap floor length gown.

She never ceases to amaze Gabriel who never gets bored of beholding her beauty every single time. He took her hand as his dad announced their departure. They said their goodbyes to their guests and his parents before climbing into his black limo and leaving for their honeymoon.

So luckily no one made a scene, that's a relief
