As Jin drove, you both were discussing the tiny two day vacation at your family's home. You and Jin had already had your two days with his family for a family gathering and now it your turn which came right on time.
"Do you think they'll like my dish?" Jin asks and you look at him.
"Yeah, besides, you're amazing at Cooking." You compliment and he smiles.
Jin was always nervous around your family. He's met them on multiple occasions but still feels as if they haven't fully accepted him yet. He wants their full and honest blessing because he wants you in his life and he values their opinions greatly.
When you pull up to the family home, he parks the car and you both get out. He grabs his large dish and you both walk to the door. Before you could ring the door bell your mom opens the door with a smile.
"How is my munchkin doing?" She asks with a smile.
"Hi mom, I'm okay." You smile and hug her tightly and she hugs you back.
"Seokjinnie, how are you?" She smiles and he smiles and out of respect he bows to her.
"I am doing well." He says and she smiles.
"I can take that for you if you'd like?" Your mom offers and he declines politely.
"I don't want to trouble you. I can carry it myself." Jin says and your mom moves to the side and Jin allows you to walk in first and thanks your mom.
"(Y/N/N)!" You hear someone shout and you see all of your little cousins rushing over to you, almost tackling you to the ground.
While you were playing with your little cousins, you didn't notice your mom ushering Jin to the kitchen where your aunts, grandma and uncle were.
You head people laughing and walk in the kitchen to see Jin laughing along with them. You stand next to him as she shakes your uncle's hand.
"(Y/N) you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend." Your uncle says and you nod. He was always teasing you about getting a boyfriend.
"Ah, sorry. Jin this is my uncle (U/C), (U/C) this is Jin." you say and they joking shake hands again.
"So you cook?" Your youngest aunt asks and Jin nods.
"Yes, I love to cook." Jin says and she hums and looks at you.
"Girl keep him. He's a good one." She says and your other aunt scoffs.
"Says the one who goes through men like a woman going through~"
"At least I get me~"
"Alrighty! Who else is coming?" You ask cutting the bickering short and your mom hums.
"I think your Aunt (A/N) and her new boyfriend is coming." You mom says and you hear the door bell.
You walk to the door and open it to reveal your ex boyfriend, Mingi. You take a step back and see your favorite cousin walk up and she takes his hand.
"Oh (Y/N), I didn't think you'd show up." She smirks and you was about to lounge at her when Jin quickly wraps his arms around your waist, holding you back, Mingi doing the same to (C/N).
"What's all this commotion?" Your grandma asks as she and your mom walk out of the kitchen.
"Oh my...um...Mingi,so nice to see you again." You mom says and he smiles.
"Same to you (M/L/N)." He says before looking at you with a smirk.
"Great to see you." He smirks and you try to go for him but Jin holds you back and picks you and carries you off to an empty room.
"What happened back there? And why is Mingi at the door?" Jin asks.
"He's my ex and that bi-"
"No cursing in your grandmother's house."
"Fine. That...cousin..was supposed to be my favorite cousin but clearly she's backstabbing." You explain and he nods.
"Just hold on for a day and a half and we'll be off." He says and you nod.
You both walk back and Jin takes a hold of your hand as you both pass the couple and you lead him to meet the rest of your family who hasn't met him yet.

Into the dinner, you all were talking and laughing. As the food was digging into you couldn't help but notice how everyone was loving Jin's dish.
"Jin if I had have known you were this good at cooking I would have called you and asked you to help me." Your mom teases.
"You may do that at any time. I would love to help."
"So (Y/N), did you tell Jin about the time you-"
"Nope we are not doing embarrassing stories" You say, cutting your uncle off.
"So Jin, how's your uh...BTS thing going? I never actually heard a song." Your grandma says.
"We just won three American Music Awards. We're on tour now but I was given time off so I can spend it here with my girlfriend's family." Jin says and everyone but Mingi and (C/N) coos.
"Just say extended family baby, it's alright." your grandma says and he nods.
"Hey! Say something in Korean." one of your little cousins say and he looks over at the kid table.
"Stay at the kid table." You say, noticing his ears getting a bit red.
"Saranghae" Jin says and the 'ooo'.
"What does that mean?" You mom ask
"I love you." Jin says and your family awws.
"So are we going to ignore Mingi and I here?" (C/N) asks and the table falls into an awkward silence.
"We know you and him already. We rarely see Seokjin." Your mom says and she huffs.
"Jealousy ain't a good look on you sis." You say and she glares at you.
"Ain't nobody jealous." She retorts and you shrug and take a sip of your drink.
Towards desert time, your youngest aunt had gotten drunk, your uncle went outside to take a walk and your mom and grandma were talking quietly to each other.
"Let's play some music!" One of your cousins around your age shouts.
"Play that good ole K-WANG first though" Another one shouts and everyone gets up.
"K-Wang? I don't know this dance." Jin says and you wave him off.
"It's easy I promise. If you can do full on choreographies, you can do this." You smile as the music starts to play.
It took him a while but once he got the hang of it, he put his own little twist on it. You both laugh as you stood together doing the dance. After that, your whole family including Mingi and Jin were dancing together.
You were dancing with your three year old cousin when you notice Jin was gone. You look around to see him dancing with your Grandma. You take a video of the two before saving it.
After a while you got tired so you went in the dining room and started to clean up. As you cleaned up (F/C/N) comes into the dining room. You ignore her and continue to clean.
"Look...I know you're jealous of me because I've always had it better than you and that's why you always followed me around but-"
"Jealous? No, I'm not jealous of you andi won't ever be jealous of your bum-"
"Watch your mouth."
"Make me" You say and she grabs a glass of water at your face. You leap over the table and punch her in the jaw, breaking a glass cup in the midst of it.
The adults rush in and Jin quickly pulls you off of her but you don't struggle.
"(F/C/N) be glad Jin saved your life! Don't you ever throw water in my face again!"
"You deserved it!"
"Just like you deserved that punch in yo jaw!"
"Enough!" Your grandma shouts, causing everyone to get her attention.
"Everyone to bed right now. Tomorrow is the family games and it will be bonding time for everyone! I want you both to clean up this kitchen and then go to your rooms."She says and you both say a quiet yes ma'am and she walks out with your mother.
"I'll help you." Jin says and before you could protest, he always had a broom in hand and was cleaning up the glass.
You both worked together and cleaned ignoring your cousin's presence. Once done, you both head to your room.
"I'm sorry." You say as you and Jin start your face cleansing.
"It's okay." He says and hugs you close.
"Tomorrow will be better, I promise." He says and you look and saw him smile.
"Oh um....are you good at physical sports?" You ask and he looks at you confused
"I-uh-"
"You'll be okay, a few bruises won't hurt anyone" You pat his shoulder.
"You get bruises by being hurt." He says and you smile innocently at him.
"You'll be fineee, don't worry."

"I love you" You smile and leave the bathroom.
"Seokjin, you'll be okay"
