[[ This story takes place, after the last chapter of The Masked Trainee. Fast forward 17 years later, where Kai's little sister has been kidnapped and taken to Yunnan Province, China. She will be going to Seoul in this chapter. A few characters from my other book will come into play but not much, this is, after all, Tian's story aka Ten. ]]
"Ten! Get down here it's time for dinner." One of the community elders yells from downstairs.
I ran down the stairs, almost eating plaster when I tripped over my own feet. Hi, I'm Tian, or Ten. Well, the elders found me on their doorstep 18 years ago one late night. It's kinda sad I don't even know if that is my real name or not, but whatever. The orphanage elders have always been my family as far as I can remember. They've helped me become the person I am today, which is someone who is going to be late for her first day at work if I don't hurry my ass up.
I hopped over the little ones at the bottom of the stairs, I turned quickly breaking up the little catfight between my two adopted sisters. Who is actually fighting over the remote, trying to decide what K-idol's comeback they'll be watching tonight? "Tingting go watch in my room, leave your little sister alone." The teenage girl looks up at me and screams out in happiness, "Just don't touch anything, I'll know if you did since I installed a camera from the last mess you caused in there."
I walked calmly towards Mrs. Jung, who happens to run the orphanage here in Yunnan Province. This place has many memories for me here, I will miss it after tomorrow. I plan on leaving and I'm going to find my real family, the only clue is the onesie I was in when I was a baby. It had 2 letters and the #2 on the front, on the back it had 5 signatures. The names on the back were Sungwoo Lee, Mikey Lee, Zion Park, Mina Lee and the last one was Kai Lyn Lee Kwon. They were, in fact, the K-idol group that debuted 18 years ago on the day I was born. I am the official club president herein YP, China. I knew practically everything about them, Mrs. Jung said I could be related to all the Lee's since the name on the onesie is Tian Lee Chen. I'll never know right, till I find the proof about it or not.
Unnie Kai's voice, it mesmerized me from the start. From being born female to having a manly voice, it's rather strange that I have that trait as well. But I learned how to control it, Mrs. Jung said it was a blessing from heaven up above and that my life even though it is sad at times will be blessed in the future.
I hopped on the motorcycle Mr. Jung had gifted me for my 18th birthday today, I looked down at my watch when I noticed the time. I had 20 minutes to get to the arena, I was part of the performers today because of the dance studio I teach at for kids and young adults like myself.
- fast forward -
I looked at the names on the doors, as I'm backstage. I started to hyperventilate when I notice two names Punch and EXO's Chanyeonal, I backed myself into a wall and started to quietly to rap Kai's debut song. I was still bent over still trying to catch my breath when I hear the following words.
"Ma, she looks just like Kai." I looked at my ma on my facetime.
I was so glad I was wearing my mask, I looked up silently wishing the ground to swallow me up and die of embarrassment. Oh god, someone heard my manly voice. I am so going to get fired for this, this is what my boss was afraid of. A pretty girl with a manly voice, "Miahne, oppa I panicked when I read the names on the doors. I was trying to find the dancer's rooms, I'm performing with my studio today after your performance."

I looked at the girl, now standing up straight. She had both mine and channie's features, I yelled out at channie to take a picture and send it to me.
- the arena -
"WAIT! Let's take a picture of both your phone and my phone!" I grabbed her phone and snapped one with her and me. Then I snapped another with my phone, "Alright Miss, just walk down this hallway and it the second door on your right." I explained.
I looked down at my phone, staring back at me to see a crying Kai. "Kai, I think it's her. Our little sister, I think we found Tian. I'll talk to her after the performance okay, maybe ask her how she ended up here."
I hung up the phone, our dad is filming a drama in Beijing. Mom is in Hawaii, with my aunties. Kai is in Seoul doing who knows where. Everyone is everywhere, because of what happened in Seoul 17 years ago.
- FLASHBACK -
It actually happened at Taeyang and Stace's wedding reception where it all started, Kai and Jiyong finally patching things up. But that night, who knew Kai's sperm donor would cause so much drama. Mom giving birth to Tian Lee Chan, Kai getting harassed by him and getting shot. Three days later, Kai had left to go and join Seoul's Police Force but it didn't work out.
A week later I get a call from Richard, Kai had left to join the military. I stood there dumbfounded, so this was the other option she chose. I had Richard go and meet Jiyong and her parents, Shawn had found out and Joined with her. Mom had officially adopted Shawn, she had found out that he lived in an orphanage not far from the house. Life's been pretty hectic since we still had no word till about 2 years past. Kai's dad had a guilty conscience I guess, he had sent a letter to grandfather's house stating where he had left Tian but she wasn't reachable, we weren't able to get her back.
Now since finding out, he had left her outside an orphanage, me and my brother's having looking non-stop for our little sister. But we always had come up empty-handed, my heart was heavy. Mom and dad haven't been the same since then, but a few months later it all changed. Kai had found her, but she was now in the system but a red mark on her file stating she wasn't adoptable.
Kai had become the orphanage's sole benefactor, always looking after her.
- END FLASHBACK -
But a few months ago Kai had disappeared, with no word and we were starting to worry. I felt a tug on my sleeve. I looked down at the young girl, my little sister Tian.
"Excuse me Oppa, but why are you crying?" I had asked Oppa Chanyeon.
I opened up my gallery and handed her my phone, "You see I'm here to find my two sisters, one of my sisters is the CEO of Loud Films. My other sister, well she was kidnapped as a baby and left at an orphanage. We've been waiting for her for a very long time, just please let us explain what happened then you can make your decision if you want to know us or not." I explain to the now shock girl name Tian.
"Dude, your fucking crazy there is no way in hell we're related. I would need solid proof, I don't mean word of mouth either. Yeah Right, Like I could be related to famous people. I think you need to go back to your dressing room and take your crazy pills." I shook my head backing up and ducking under his arms.
"I'm sorry but I have no reason to trust you, plus Unnie Kai says I shouldn't trust strangers," I tell him as I leave the backstage area going back outside.
