Mengrui's POV
Kaihan was smirking as he watched us, I put the keys in my jacket pocket "why does he have your phone?" He asked with amusement in his tone
I smiled and pointed up at Shuanghui "your Didi is one jealous man"
All eyes turned to him at that point, some with raised eyebrows in question, he cleared his throat pointing behind him "I'll umm go and get Xing" he paused for a moment "and the phone" he smiled before quickly turning away and rushing off out the living room and up the stairs
I clench a fist and stretch out my hand a few times hoping to relax it a bit from the strong grip it was in "who was he jealous of?" I looked up at Kuanwo who asked and tilted my head slightly "well?"
"My best friend, Dianfa" I turned to look at Shuanghui as he stood by me again Xing cradled in his arms as he struggled to hold the slightly overlarge puppy as it squirmed in his hold, I frowned not seeing my phone
"It's in my pocket" he mumbles running his fingers through the fur on top of Xing's head to calm him down, his father walked past hand over his nose and mouth grumbling about something that I didn't quite catch as he left the room
"One more thing before you leave," Kuanwo said getting up from his seat "where are your rings?"
I gave him nothing but a confused look as Shuanghui glared at him "you know where it is, and if I mess up my tie again someone will have to waste more time fixing it again"
A grin spread on Kuanwo's face as I looked up at Shuanghui "see I told you a tie would work" Kuanwo said towards Kaihan who sat in thought before speaking
"You're right, I knew he couldn't do tie but I didn't think of that" he let out a small laugh
Shuanghui had a slightly frustrated look as he hissed them a warning "shut it before you regret it"
Juanshou shook his head at the two boys "your plan failed and yet you both still seem to make jokes about it, you are asking for a beating. Anyways it's time to go" he spun his key on his finger kissing the woman next to him on the cheek before getting up
Mum smiled at Rongshu as they both hugged each other "thank you for having us over for Christmas Rongshu it was lovely"
She shook her head and smiled "it's no problem, we are family now after all thanks to our husbands and it's always enjoyable to have family around"
Mum smiled with a nod "yes that is true"
I looked at Kuanwo as he moved away from Shuanghui a grin on his face as Shuanghui nudges him away with his leg "go home already" he hissed at him, I could see the blush on his cheeks but I chose not to mention it
Kuanwo grinned before turning to Rongshu and bowing "thank you for having me over ma'am" he grinned he knew she didn't like him being formal and the wave of hand dismissing his thanks said enough "see you soon" he said as he waved and walked away
Rongshu shook her head at him while waving a dismissive hand as he left, I'll be in the car" Juanshou said before walking past
Ma and Pa also bowed their heads in thanks to Rongshu hugging ma again before they leave, I went to follow after Juanshou but I was stopped by the strong grip that held onto my hand "I'll come back tomorrow Ma" he spoke as I struggled to get my hand free Xing barked at me
"Are you going to make it back this time Didi" I heard Kaihan say in a teasing tone, Shuanghui rolled his eyes and walked out and I followed since he still had a tight grip on my hand, I think it's gone numb again
I waved at Shuanghui's family as he opened the car mum taking Xing into the car before he shut the door back, "get them home safe gege" he said tapping the side of the car, Juanshou stuck his hand out with a thumbs up
"What but what are we doing how are we getting back," I asked towards the car driving away, and when he turned to look at me I knew then that I wanted to be swallowed away by something because he was going to make me go on that damn bike again
"We all won't fit in the car" he stated "we are taking my bike, I'll keep you safe," he said with a grin
I didn't realise I closed my eyes in protest hoping to open them and the car still be there and he just chuckled at me "why... why the bike" I grumbled out
"Because you hold onto me," he said as he carefully put the helmet onto my head "it's nice to feel like you need me"
My mind went blank as I only just caught the last part of what he said "pervert" he clipped the helmet on me then put his on while chuckling
"Let's go home" he called putting his hand out for me to take it
"I only hold on because I don't like this" I take his hand getting onto the bike, wrapping my arms around his waist
I hold tight gripping onto his jacket as he patted my hands "yeah yeah, I know" he revs up the bike and speeds out the drive, I quickly bury my head into his back tightening my grip, I could feel him chuckling as my grip got tighter
The ride was short, despite the gap between them leaving and us it looked as though they had also just got here?, mum and dad walking into the house, I slowly loosened my grip as I got off the bike with Shuanghui's help, Xing barked running over to me so I knelt to stroke him "see you tomorrow Didi and don't forget because the kids want to see you before we leave" Shuanghui got off his bike walking over to me nodding at Juanshou as he spoke "oh and bring Mengrui if he wants to come" he waved out the window before driving off"
I looked up at Shuanghui as he crouched beside me unclipping the helmet "are you staying"
He nodded standing up with a smile "I can't sleep peacefully without you" he turned away and put the helmet away, I could feel my cheeks heat up at the comment and I look away before ushering Xing into the house walking beside him Shuanghui following behind us, Shuanghui shut the door and soon his arms where wrapped around my chest and I was being pulled into him "I refuse to divorce you, I'm not signing the papers"
I looked up at him trying to keep the redness in my cheeks hidden "why is that?" I asked slightly curious about his reason, I know I still haven't signed them and I swear his the reason stopping me
"I don't think I can give you up," he said softly with a smile on his lips before I realised it he leant down and kissed me lifting his head just as fast
I nudged him, it was still embarrassing and my cheeks had heated back up again, I never kissed anyone before him and his sudden kisses were still new to me "let go, my parents are here"
He sighed but released his grip "I'm telling them Xiao Rui I refuse to divorce you" I stared at him like he was crazy, yeah sure we'd have to tell them but I'm still a little unsure about it, he reached out and pulled my face closer to his by the chin and there is no way I can hide the blush from him "I'll tell with either words or a kiss to your lips, I like you Mengrui and I ain't letting you go"
Shuanghui's POV
I leaned in closer to him and he pulled away from me and ran up the stairs "Mengrui" I sighed watching his retreating figure "it might be a stupid idea but it's true" I said quietly knowing he probably didn't hear me.
"What's wrong" the voice startled me from my thoughts looking over at Meirong giving her a small smile "you seem upset about something"
I sighed and looked back over at the stairs "I'm not sure, I think I upset him again, I should probably go home"
"He's good at hiding his emotions" I looked back at her "he will get angry when trying to hide his shyness or embarrassment, are you sure he wants you to go?"
I shook my head "I don't know but he didn't seem too pleased about the idea of me staying anyways"
She shook her head and smiled "he'll miss you again, I bet he hasn't told you he missed you but he doesn't usually look at his phone as if wondering what he should do with it, I know he missed you because even a week or so without Dianfa he doesn't stick to his side all day as he did with you so I'm quite positive he missed you"
I stood there for a moment thinking about what she said "alright I'll talk to him first" I bowed my head slightly to her in respect before making my way to Mengrui's room, when I walked into the room Mengrui lifted his head from the book to glance at me before returning to the story, I shut the door as I walked in, sitting on the bed beside him "what are you reading?"
"A book," he said coldly
I frowned and reached over pulling the book away to read the cover "I'm going to go home" I said as I read the cover before holding the book back towards him
He just stared at me, he didn't even reach for the book "stay" he said quietly and I only just heard it "you don't have to go" he added slightly louder
I couldn't help the smirk as I leaned closer to him "give me a reason to stay"
He blushed, he's done that a lot today, I stroked his cheek and he looked away from me "I want you to stay" he mumbled quietly again
I leaned closer "sorry what was that," I said, I heard him perfectly fine but I wanted him to say it again "I didn't quite hear you"
He didn't look at me as he tried to force a frown onto his face "just stay it's getting late" he said a little louder
I shook my head and smirked "not good enough, I work later than this"
He managed a frown as his head turned to look at me, he leaned back just a little gulping at the closeness the blush growing more on his cheeks "just stay, I, because I said so" he mumbled staring back at me
I smiled "I'll accept that," I said before leaning forward and sliding a hand around the back of his neck to capture his lips in a passionate kiss, he was tense for a moment but did kiss back, his hands moved to my shoulders as he leaned into the kiss
We broke the kiss at the sound of the door being knocked on, "come in" he stuttered out turning away from the door in the attempt to hide his blushing face
When the door opened Meirong was standing there with a tray of tea "I brought you both something to drink" she had her usual caring smile
I looked at Mengrui before getting up and smiling taking the tray from her "thank you Ayi, you should get some rest, I am going to stay tonight"
She smiled and nodded "do you want me to sort out the spare room for you"
I gently shook my head "no thank you Ayi, you get some rest, if I need to I'll get Mengrui to help but I'll probably just stay in here with him" she smiled and nodded bowing her head before leaving, I closed the door putting the tray on the small table
