(Y/N)'s POV:
After escaping those monsters, we rode our bikes all the way to where Mr. Mondevarious held the party for me and the others yesterday, which is also where we saw those monsters drag away all of the college students to last night.
"Yes!" Shaggy exclaims with a bright smile.
"That was great!" Mary Jane exclaims, also smiling.
Despite how happy those two are, the feeling isn't mutual. I know what I saw when we were escaping those monsters, and so does Scooby and (F/A/N). I'm not sure how or what could've caused it, but Mary Jane is definitely not human, not anymore at least.
"Man-oh-man, are you all right?" Shaggy asks, him and Mary Jane hugging each other. "Oh, you were great."
"You too," Mary Jane says.
While Scooby starts to bark, followed by (F/A/N), at Mary Jane, I shove her away from Shaggy. "Get away from my friend, you--!" (by the way, if you're favorite animal isn't a dog, then pretend that your favorite animal is making an angry sound)
"(N/N), (F/A/N), Scooby-Doo, like, what are you guys doing, man?" Shaggy asks.
"Raggy, Rary Rane is a ran in a rask!" Scooby exclaims.
"Mary Jane is a man in a mask?" Shaggy asks.
"No, Shaggy. He said that Mary Jane is WEARING a mask," (F/A/N) corrects.
"That's right! She's one of them, a monster! We saw it ourselves!" I exclaim.
As much as it hurts telling this to Shaggy, especially since I know that he's developed a thing for Mary Jane, I have no choice but to tell him the truth. Shaggy's always been like family to me, ever since we were kids, and I would rather be treated like a jerk than let Shaggy get killed by a monster in disguise.
"(Y/N)," Mary Jane gently says, placing a hand on my shoulder,
Feeling a chill go down my spine, I quickly shove her hand away. "Don't touch me!" I yell, while Scooby barks at her, telling her to back off.
"Scoob! What are you doing, man?" Shaggy asks, getting in between Scooby and Mary Jane. "Step off, Scoob!"
"Raggy, rou're whipped!" Scooby tries to say, so that Shaggy can hear him correctly.
"I'm whipped? Oh yeah? Well, why don't you say that to my face, man?" Shaggy asks, starting to get angry at Scooby.
"Rokay, ri rill! Rou're rother reats rat poop!" Scooby exclaims.
"No, Scooby-Doo, your mom eats cat poop!" Shaggy says back.
As silly as their argument sounds, those are actually the worst and quite hurtful insults that I've ever heard them say to each other, believe it or not. But that's the least thing to worry about. While Shaggy and Scooby argue, I notice Mary Jane smirking at them, making me realize what's really going on.
"Guys! Stop arguing!" I exclaim.
"Stay out of this!" they both say in sync.
"Bring it," Shaggy says to Scooby as they both get closer to the tunnel entrance. "You want some? You want a little piece of the Shagster?
"Reah!" Scooby exclaims.
"Feel the pain, Scoob!"
"Rokay!"
"Come on! Two shots! Two shots! Me and you, me and you again. I'll give you some right now, buddy," Shaggy says.
Before Shaggy can punch Scooby, Scoob starts to fall through a man hole. I quickly try to grab Scooby by the paw, in hopes of saving him, but end up falling in myself.
(F/A/N)'s POV:
(Y/N) tried to save Scooby from falling into that hole, but they both ended up falling in.
"(N/N)! Scoob!" Shaggy and I exclaim with worry.
"(N/N) and Scooby have been eaten! (F/A/N) and I gotta save them. You stay here, I'll be right back," Shaggy says to Mary Jane, about to jump into the hole.
"No, Shaggy," Mary Jane says, with the voice of a man. Shaggy turns back to look at her, confused. But when she speaks again, her voice is normal. "I mean, it's too dangerous."
"I've got to. Scooby is, like, my best pal. And (N/N) is my childhood friend. He's always been like a brother to me," Shaggy says, making me think that that has got to be the nicest thing he has ever said about (Y/N) and Scooby. "Friends don't quit."
When Shaggy jumps into the whole, I jump in after him. "Geronimo!" I exclaim. After a few seconds, we land onto a sand-covered floor. "Are you okay, Shaggy?"
"Yeah," he says, getting on his feet. "(N/N)? Scoob?" he calls out. "(N/N)? Scooby-Doo..."
"Where are you guys?" I call out.
Receiving no answer from either of them, we both walk through this tunnel, to see where it leads.
(Y/N), Scooby...please be okay.
(Y/N)'s POV:
I'm not sure how long I was unconscious. But when I woke up, I noticed something off. Not only am I inside of a pyramid-like cage, but my hands are also tied behind my back! I must've fell unconscious when I fell through that hole, giving whoever is behind this the chance to tie me up.
I let out a sigh. "This must be what Daphne felt like whenever she got kidnapped by the creeps we unmasked in the past," I say. "Now I feel like a total jerk to her for treating it as no big deal back then."
However...These guys have no idea who they're dealing with.
If there's anything that solving mysteries has taught me, it's how to get myself untied without help from anybody. It's taken a little while, but I can slowly feel the ropes around my wrists starting to loosen. However, I don't have a lot of time when I hear someone enter the room, making me stop my actions. Whoever is coming, my actions would look suspicious, causing this person to retie my wrists together, and that would be a pain, especially when I'm so close to freeing myself.
"Well, hello, young man," someone says.
"N' Goo Tuana?!" I exclaim, the moment he reveals himself.
Maybe I can get some info from this guy.
"So, in the end, it really was you, after all. Just what is your goal exactly? And what did you do to everyone on the island, especially since they've all become monsters?!" I exclaim.
"You'd think that I'd actually tell you?" he asks.
"Well, seeing as how I'm tied up, I don't have any other choice in the matter, do I?" I point out. "Which reminds me. So, what happens now? Are you going to turn me into a monster, too, so that I can be part of some sick and twisted legion of yours?"
I'm not sure why, but N' Goo Tuana starts to let out a creepy laugh. "You may be smart, but I'm afraid you're wrong. You and the puppy are much too important for something like that, especially with the Darkopalypse Ritual under way?"
Darkopalypse Ritual...? What is that? And why do they need me and...Wait a minute!
"Where's Scooby-Doo? What did you do to him?" I question, hoping that he's okay.
Even though we both fell through that hole together, I realized that he wasn't with me when I woke up.
"Oh, he's very much alive if that's what you're so concerned about. Like I said, you two are too important. We need the both of you alive for the Darkopalypse Ritual. And until then, I'm afraid that you will both be put into separate confinement," he says.
Putting some thought into it, I don't think that I want to know what this Darkopalypse Ritual is, or what it is that these guys need me and Scooby for. But one thing is for certain, is that I need to find a way out of here, now. Thankfully, I have just the idea for it. And hopefully, my escape plan will work.
"...Let me go, please..." I say.
"So you can escape? I don't think so," he says.
"No......I have to use the restroom," I say.
"What?" he asks, looking slightly caught off guard.
"I really have to go, so come on, man! I really can't hold it in!" I exclaim. However, N' Goo Tuana did the unexpected. After opening the cage, he places down a metal-bucket in front of me. "A bucket?!"
"Heh. If you think I'm going to fall for that old trick, you can forget it," he says with his arms crossed, acting as though he's won this round.
I then let out sigh. "I guess it'll have to do," I say, pretending that I'm trying to take off my pants. "Uh, but do me a favor and turn around, please?"
"Fine," he says.
Seeing this, I smirk to myself. "Oh, thanks a lot...SUCKER!!!" I exclaim, kicking N' Goo Tuana where the sun doesn't shine. He then collapses to his knees, definitely feeling a lot of pain from where I kicked him. "You see, there's a reason why old tricks still exist, cause they still work. Bye! And I hope we never have to see each other ever again!"
Without wasting a moment, I run with all my might, while also unbinding my hands, freeing myself. Now that I'm free, all I have to do is find Scooby and hopefully the others, and then find a way to stop this Darkopalypse Ritual before it does whatever it's supposed to do.
(I know that this part has nothing to do with the movie, but I thought it'd be funny to add it in, especially since this part comes from one of the episodes of my favorite anime, Fairy Tail. So, sorry if you guys don't like it, but I do hope you enjoyed the chapter)
(F/A/N)'s POV:
After walking through that tunnel we fell in, Shaggy and I end up in a place that we've ever seen before. If nothing else, it's actually quite creepy. And seeing how scared Shaggy is right now, this cannot be easy for him to deal with.
"...Like, let's go," he says.
"You sure?" I ask.
".......Like, no. But (N/N) and Scooby need us, so..." he tries to say, making me smile at him.
I have to hand it to Shaggy. Even though he's scared, he's still trying to be brave for his friends.
Just in case we're not the only ones here, we quickly and quietly try to make our way towards the vat. And just when we think things couldn't be even more creepy, we see that the vat is filled with some kind of strange, glowing blue water. Then all of a sudden, we hear Velma's voice.
"Shaggy, (F/A/N)," we both look around to see where Velma could be, but don't see her anywhere around us, making us confused on where she could be. Our attention is then drawn to the vat. We see her head floating in the water! "Shaggy, (F/A/N)."
"Velma?" I ask, surprised, scared, and confused to see her in this vat.
"...We'll save you," Shaggy says, more scared than ever about all of this, not that I blame him.
As careful as possible, Shaggy reaches in, and grabs Velma.
"Velma, are you okay?" I ask, wondering how the heck she ended up becoming a floating head.
"I'm as fine as can be, (F/A/N). And thanks, Shaggy. Boy, am I glad to see you guys. Now let me go so I can return to my body. Then get out of here before they find you and steal your protoplasm, too," Velma says. Shaggy nods his head in understanding, and then lets go of Velma. "I always knew you and (F/A/N) were our heroes, Shaggy!"
(Y/N)'s POV:
"Jinkies!"
I'm not sure where on the island I ended up, but I definitely do know that catchphrase anywhere! I look around to see Velma, and some kind of white wisp enter her body, making her fall back.
"Velma!" I exclaim with worry, rushing towards her.
Just as I'm about to help her up, I see something green glowing around her. And then one of those creatures from last night appears from her body. Velma and I both become shocked by this, not sure how else to react. However, just as the monster's about to attack us, red wart-like things appear all around its arms, almost as though its getting a really bad case of sunburn. And then, just like that, it explodes.
"I'm not the only one that just saw that, right?" I ask, making sure that my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.
"Nope. I saw it, too, (Y/N)," Velma says, putting her glasses back on.
And just when I thought things couldn't get anymore weird around here.
