Why Did I write this book?
Because I feel like mental illness/health is something that people in my country shy away from. So basically to spread awareness. Actually every year me & my bookies (Fans) host a mental health awareness campaign on Facebook, where we discuss issues of mental health that affect us as youths. This year I decided to write a book for the #mentalhealthAwareness community and guess what it's free here on wattpad, forever♡. I decided to finally realise the project I've been working on from February... it's a new book called "My boyfriend Atla So my book is basically about the typical girl meets guy thing ... but its complicated.. the guy has issues , the girl is for drama, there eating cassava! The're young and thirty 🤷🏾♀️ fighting and flirting 😄😄👏🏾 I wrote this book because I wanted to talk about issues that touch me , depression and mental health , getting married late , witchcraft.... and I hope I do manage to discuss those issues... Was I thinking about someone when writing this ?, nope not really... 😄😄 I didn't really put a face on the characters until recently... 🌚😄 when my life got fictiously interesting... I met this random stranger who caught my eye ....we just call him Snobbish M . I feel like he's perfect for Nthochi . I have included pictures of what I imagined the characters to look like in the book , but y'all can imagine whoever you like ... .. Happy reading really hope you enjoy ♥️📚😄🌼
I just want to create a safe space where we the youth can talk about issues of mental health, and this book is a start for me . So hey world, meet the newest storyteller on the block !!!
