"Do you want this for real?" Calum and hazel had been standing in the kitchen talking for a while about everything and nothing. She nodded.
"I do."
"Because what I CANNOT do again is be left alone or kicked out."
"I won't do that again...."
"You understand why I'm scared that that's a lie right?"
"I'm sorry." She sighed and Calum nodded
"We should go see issac."
"Good idea." She nodded and talked to the living room where they sat down. Cal was quiet and hazel reached to hold his hand which he let her do. Suddenly Mike who was there along with ash and Luke, spoke.
"Cal?"
"Hmm?"
Mike looked around and then back at cal. "Wanna go sit outside? Me and the boys wanna talk to you."
"You wanna talk to me?" Calums first instinct was to say 'fuck all of you, leave me alone' but he kinda wanted to hear what Michael had to say, obviously his past experience with the boys had been shit. Mike nodded. "Ya know..." Calum looked at Issac. Today was his special day and there was no doubt in cals mind that talking with the boys would result in a fight and ruin today. "I don't think that's a good idea."
Hazel and Issac both looked at Calum. Cal looked at Issac and hazel whispered "go ahead, it's okay."
"N-no hazel, it's fine." Calum replied. He just knew it would turn out shitty. Mike was suddenly grabbing cals hand.
"Come on we need to talk." He pulled him into a standing position.
"No michael!" Cal pulled his hand back.
Eventually the boys, with a little help from hazel got Calum outside so they could talk. Ashton spoke first
"Mate-" he started but Luke interrupted.
"ITS IMPORTANT, CALUM!"
"Yeah!" Said ash again.
Calum spoke up "what's so important that you have to ruin my child's birthday!?"
"It's about Issac." Mike said
"Right fine go ahead then." Cal crossed his arms and stood back to listen.
"He-
"He got a girlfriend!" Michael interrupted Luke who was about to speak. Calums face didn't change.
"He's four."
"Yeah so? She's imaginary." They all laughed except Calum.
"that's all you had to tell me? Is that my child has imaginary friends like every other kid his age? You had to force me, against my will, to come out here to explain to me that my four year old is acting like a four year old?"
Mike shook his head. "Luke has something to tell you."
Luke walked up in front of Calum and stood there with his hands in his jeans pockets. "It's quite funny actually..."
"He won't laugh, Luke!" Ash shouted and they all chuckled. Calum just stood waiting for Luke to tell him whatever it was he needed to say.
"So hazel uh-"
Ashton interrupted, "she might have done something!"
"Okay..." Calum said while looking inside the sliding glass door and watching issac play.
"With your guitar-
"Your bass guitar! Your first one!"
"Okay..."
"She gave it to someone." Luke said and all the boys nodded.
"Who?" Calum asked
Luke smirked. "A guy."
"Why are you telling me this?" Cals real question was why Luke was smirking so goddamn much but this was more important
"Cuz you'll wanna see pics." Ash said
"No I don't, actually I wanna go watch my kid eat cupcakes, can I go Inside?"
"No no just.." Luke took his phone out and showed Calum a picture of issac holding the bass with the biggest smile on his face. Cal wanted to smile but he also wanted to punch these three men into space and spare himself a lot of anxiety, also why couldn't they just let issac tell him? Whatever. He stared at the picture for a second, not so sure how to react. There were a lot of emotions going through his head right now... "isn't he so fucking cute!?"
"Yeah....cute....he's so cute..." that was the only answer cal could come up with. Issac was REALLY cute. He was a sweet kid and the fact that he wanted to play the bass was just everything Calum could have wanted, but....but why wasn't he there to see it? Why didn't hazel wanna tell him? Why didn't issac wanna tell him? Why had hazel made him leave all that time ago only to try and make him come back? What if she kicks him out again and then he now knows this thing that makes it extra hard to forget about them?
"You okay mate?"
"Yeah...." cal looked up. "Why couldn't issac tell me? Or hazel?"
"Actually..." cal raised an eyebrow. "Hazels dating the guy who teaches issac.....she thought it would be awkward..."
"so you ACTUALLY brought me out here, against my will, to tell me that my child's mother is dating someone else even tho she JUST MOMENTS ago told me she wanted me in her life? Thanks, what a greatass bunch of friends you are" Calum knocked Luke's phone out of his hand and walked inside, slamming the door behind him. He walked over to issac, "I have to head out now bud, bye bye."
"But he's gotta blow out his candles and stuff Calum." Hazel said. Calum ignored her but issac asked him to stay and help build the LEGO house him and hazel were currently working on.
"I'm sorry, I'll try and see you another time okay buddy..."
"Where do you have to be that isn't here?" Hazel spoke again. Issac knocked over his tower and crossed his arms. Calum didn't wanna leave issac but if he stayed he would get angrier by the minute and things would get bad.
"Just make sure to tell those guys out there," he pointed outside to mike Luke and ash, "that they're assholes." Then he moved in the direction of the front door. Just as he was almost out hazel came stomping up next to him.
"YOU'RE THE ASSHOLE CALUM HOOD!" She was pissed. Issac tried to comfort her.
"You're dating other people and you didn't tell me!"
"What?" Hazel looked at Calum all confused.
"Luke told me about issacs bass teacher! How could you stand with me in the kitchen only an hour ago and tell me you wanted me back while you're dating someone else!?" Hazel just cracked up. It was almost like the joker, it seemed inappropriate at the time but she was laughing. She really was laughing. "Why the hell are you laughing!?"
"Because YOU'RE his teacher!" She laughed and picked up Isaac. "He watches your videos to learn." Cal froze and went the deepest shade of red a human could even go. "Gods sake..." She sighed happily and stepped closer to cal but Calum started walking back to where his former band mates were.
"Can I talk to the three of you?" He tried to stay calm. They all nodded and asked what was up. "Well the thing is..." cal grabbed Ashton by the wrist and pulled him close. The rest of he boys stepped closer. "I hate you all from the very bottom of my heart." Then he proceeded to punch ash in the shoulder as hard as he could
Ashton just chuckled and replied. "We hate you too."
"Get out of this house. Stay away from hazel and my kids."
"She invited us, bro, our kids are in there too."
"Then get your damn kids out!"
Hazel walked out. "Cal, what's going on?"
"Tell them to leave! They're liars and they're horrible people!" She looked down. "you wanna be friends with the people who bullied me my entire life and keep bullying me to this day?!"

"whatever, fine I don't give a shit anymore." He went and just sat on the porch without saying another word...
