Hitoshi sat up, pushing his blankets back and out of the way. Getting out of bed, he spent a moment stretching before he left his room, making his way to the place he would go first before anything else.

(Y/n)'s room.

Even though he seemed annoyed by her when she refused get up, he enjoyed the back and forth. It may have been insignificant to her but it meant a lot to him, so did every other moment he got to spend with her. He hated to admit it but he really liked (Y/n), a lot more than he should've. When she had first arrived to live with his family, he had thought of her as an annoyance. But over time, he warmed up to her, the two of them becoming close friends.

As he drew nearer to her door, he couldn't help but think about what had happened the previous day. He was sad that they couldn't have lunch together but he was fine with it as long as she was happy. Hitoshi remembered the smile she had when she told him about having lunch with the heroes, to him it was priceless.

Then how she scolded him after he got into an argument with Bakugou, warning him not get into any fights. He knew it was something any friend would do, but he couldn't help but let his mind imagine it as if she was something more.

Finally, he remembered when they got home. He had done something which could've risked their entire friendship, whether that was to take it to the next level or lose it all together. He actually planned on confessing to her that afternoon but his parents came home early, ruining his plan.

He was going to do it later that night as well but when he went to check on her, she was already asleep. Just thinking about how he got to hold her while they watched movies sent heat to his cheeks, he liked holding her like that. She also seemed to enjoy it as well, liking the warmth and cuddling even closer.

Reaching (Y/n)'s door, he knocked lightly before opening it. He stepped into the bedroom, his eyes moving to the bed where he hoped to see her sleeping. But he was surprised by the sight of an empty bed, (Y/n)'s uniform and school bag no where in sight.

"(Y/n)?" he called into the room, hoping that she was just hiding. He waited but received no answer. Getting impatient he decided to have a look around the room, under the bed and in the wardrobe as well as a few other places she could hide in. But he was unsuccessful in finding her, she wasn't there. Heading back to his room, he sighed as he changed into his uniform, hoping that she would be downstairs.

Once he was ready, he went down stairs and didn't see anyone. Not even his parents. It was a cliche scenario but his mother, who was the cook of the house, would usually be in the kitchen while his father would sit at the dining table, reading the newspaper.

He looked around these places where they usually were, pausing his search when he heard quiet sobbing. Following the sound, he found himself in the living room. His mother sat on the couch with her face in her hands, crying, while his father sat by her side, rubbing her back.

"She heard me," she cried, trying to wipe both the tears and snot from running down her face. His father was the first to notice him, the older male heaving a sigh. He lifted one of his hands and gestured to an armchair, wordlessly asking him to take a seat. Hitoshi did as he was asked, paying all of his attention to his mother who was yet to calm down. Hajime shook his wife's shoulder, getting her to look up to show their son was there.

"What happened? Where's (Y/n)?" he asked, looking between both his mother and his father. Hajime let out another sigh, continuing to hold his wife.

"Last night... your mother had too much to drink and started saying hurtful things about (Y/n). We didn't know until this morning but (Y/n) heard and left in the middle of the night," he informed. Hitoshi lent forward in his seat, a worried expression on his face.

"Is she okay?" he asked, sounding desperate to know. His father nodded, handing Mihoko another tissue after she had completely soiled the one she was previously using.

"This morning we had a man come to our door, he said that he was one of the many heroes who took care of her before she came to us. He told us she called him while she was out and she stayed the night at his office. Before he left he took her uniform and school bag, that's why her things aren't here." Hitoshi didn't know how to process this, feeling worry for (Y/n) but also anger towards his mother who had made this happen. But he didn't dare say anything about it, she was already crying.

"She knows, she's going to get me, Hajime," she sobbed, grabbing onto her husband. He tried to calm her down but she was getting more and more worked up.

"No she's not, don't be ridiculous."

"She will, she'll kill me!"

Hitoshi suddenly stood, catching the attention of both of his parents. Without saying a word, he stormed out of the room and upstairs, ignoring his mother as she called out to him. He made his way back to his room and sat down on his bed, laying back to stare at the ceiling above.

He couldn't believe it, (Y/n) had left in the middle of the night. Hitoshi grit his teeth while thinking about what his mother had just said.

Why would (Y/n) try and kill her?

(Y/n) was one of the sweetest, kindest people he had ever met and he knew that she never hurt someone out of spite. He also knew that she was fragile, having many things that had happened in her past that left her broken. Hitoshi was aware of how self conscious she was as well, knowing that when the right buttons were pushed she would completely shatter.

She had improved over the two years they had spent together but he knew it wasn't enough to completely rid of her pain. She shouldered the burden of her memories every single day and she didn't need others putting her down to add to the load.

Taking a series of deep breaths, Hitoshi was able to calm himself down and rid of his anger. He didn't like being angry, but when it came to (Y/n) he couldn't help it. (Y/n) was one of the most important people to him and he couldn't imagine living without her.

--------------------------------------

I looked up at the taller male who smiled down at me, not looking away for anything.

"When Sir said to watch me, he didn't mean like this," I muttered, feeling embarrassed under Togata's non-stop gaze. He chuckled, using his free hand to pet my head.

"I promised, I'll make sure I get you to school safely." I heaved a sigh and tried to keep my balance as the train made its way to the next station.

When we got on the train I was devastated that there were no seats, knowing that I would have to stand. It was unfortunate that I wasn't tall enough to reach the hand rails above and that there were no poles free for me to hold onto. Now I just did my best to stay steady, not wanting to bump into anyone else who was standing.

As I stood in the train, trying to keep my balance, I remembered how Hitoshi and I would usually do it. Since he was taller, he would hold the rail above and let you hold onto his uniform jacket. The problem now was that Togata was the one with me and he didn't even wear a jacket.

Without warning, the train jolted. This sent me flying forward into someone, a muscular arm wrapping around my back to keep me steady. Once the train had steadied itself, they let go and sent me a wide smile.

"I did offer my arm for you to hold," Togata chuckled, offering it once more. With pink cheeks, I gave in and held onto his arm. It was a lot different than Hitoshi, Dabi and Sir's arms, Togata-senpai being a lot more muscular. I could feel the muscles in his arm shift beneath the skin as he moved, his eyes remaining on me even after I told him to cut back on it.

"(L/n)," he whispered. I looked up at him, getting a little annoyed at his constant smiling.

"What? And why do you keep smiling at me?" He chuckled and sent me another, this one making my face turn red.

"When we left the office you seemed sad, I hoped that my smiling would cheer you up but it doesn't seem to be working." Realizing that he didn't have any bad intentions, I cut him some slack and relaxed.

I tried to enjoy the rest of the train ride whilst holding onto his arm and it was fine for the most part. The only problem was that he continued to stare at me with his weird oval eyes. Now that I thought about it, his eyes weren't weird, they were just different. I wanted to get another look at them but he wouldn't stop looking at me and I didn't want to notice while I looked.

I kept my head down, not wanting to make eye contact with him and distracted myself by staring at one of the buttons on his shirt. But my moment of peace was interrupted when the arm I was holding onto started to move. Togata's hand slipped around my side and to my back. While this happened, I kept my head down, face turning red again. I hoped that it would stop there but it didn't, his hand started slowly traveling down my back. It was getting lower and lower, making me fear what would happen next.

Since he was already touching me, if I activated my quirk he would be enveloped in it as well. It would solve nothing. But I still had hope that I was misinterpreting what was happening so I remained still. In order to get lower he needed to come close to me, pulling me so forehead pressed up against his muscular chest. Then, with a sudden movement, his hand moved off of you lower back.

Wanting to know what had just happened, I turned my head to look behind me. Mirio had grabbed hold of an older man's wrist, the blonde sending him a glare. The guy looked scared  and pulled away, making his way to the other side of the train carriage away from us.

I was shocked by what had just unfolded. Togata-senpai had just saved me from a train molester. Still shaken up by what had just happened, I stayed close to him. He tried to take a step back to make some space like there was before, but I wouldn't let him. I grabbed onto the front of his shirt, allowing him to hold me by my waist in front of him.

"I guess I shouldn't just watch you, huh?" he chuckled nervously, trying to lighten the mood. I gave a small nod, keeping close in fear that someone else might come and try do the same. My quirk was strong and I knew that I could rely on it in a time like this, but I was enjoying the closeness.

I don't know what has been up with me lately and being closer to people. I never used to accept hugs... I never allowed others to touch me. I denied Iida's handshake on the first day of school yet I accepted hugs from Mei. I lay on Hitoshi yesterday, I allowed Dabi, a stranger, to hold me and here I was, clinging to my senpai.

"Are you okay?" he whispered, sounding concerned. Lifting my head, I met his gaze and gave a small nod, my cheeks dusted pink.

"Y-yes, thank you for that, Senpai." He let out some more nervous laughter, his own cheeks tinting pink.

"It's fine, I'll protect you."

First, I love Hitoshi. Second, I love Mirio.

Also I'm posting another chapter of this story for the third day in a row because I'm currently studying for my physics exam and it was already prewritten.

Thank you for reading  :)
