You just got off Hogwarts express for your fifth year at Hogwarts, and you smiled widely when the huge castle came into your vision
"Y/N!" you heard someone shout, you turned around and saw your bestfriend, Draco, running tiwards you
"Dray! Oh my god, you're so tall! Unfair!" you exclaimed, but hugged him anyways
You both have been bestfriends since birth, you were sorted in Slytherin wich shocked the other students, because you were so kind and you werent even a pureblood.
You were kind to everyone, even to the golden trio, wich annoys Draco, but you jist ignore him
"nah, you're just naturally short" he chuckled and you just rolled your eyes, then you looked around, you saw Peter, a Hufflepuff your age staring at you.
You gave him a smile and his eyes widen and turned around to go to the carriages. You furrowed your eyebrows, ignoring the slight pain in your heart when he walked away
"what's with him?" you mumbled

It's dinner time, and everyone is in the great hall, waiting for the sorting of the first years to end
You looked around, and your eyes landed on the Hufflepuff table, wich is only a table away from the Slytherin's
Peter, was once again, staring at you, this time, you stared back, and raising your eyebrows in a polite kind of way and smiled a little
This time, he smiled back.
You didnt even notice the sorting finished until Draco shouted,
"Hey, Parker, why do you keep staring at Y/N? Got a crush on her or something?" he laughed, and Peter looked down and turned red
You faced Draco and slapped his arm
"that wasnt very polite, Malfoy" you rolled your eyes and looked at Peter again, he was slowly looking up to you, and you gave him an apologetic smile, and he just nodded
Headmaster Dumbledor told everyone to be quite and made food magically appear on the tables, he then said, "let the feast begin", and so it did
Students munched on everything, until they were so full, they'll need to unbutton their pants. You shook your head at the scene, specifically at Draco, who literally had sauce all over his mouth. You cringed and looked away, and started eating your potatoes.

It was now halfway through the year, nothing much has changed, but you did get closer to Peter, you guys are partners in potions, so that's fun.
Turns out, he's a pretty funny, cute, and cheerful dork. You couldnt think of a time you were with him that you didnt laugh.
Now, you were just sitting in your common room, just thinking about the times you've spent with Peter, you were slowly, but surely, developing feelings for him. You couldnt helo but blush at the thought
You were so occupied with your thoughts, you didnt notice Draco sit beside you
"i hope you're thinking about me" he said wich made you look at him. He was smirking and side eyeing you
You scoffed and pushed him slightly
"you wish." you said and at the corner of your eye, you could see Pansy Parkinson shooting daggers at you, you chuckled, "i was actually thinking why you havent given Pansy a chance. She's only been flirting with you since first year" you smirked
Draco raised his eyebrows
"i dont like her, she's a git."
You laughed, "whoa, said the git himself"
Draco laughed and slowly put his arms behind you
You raised an eyebrow, but didnt say anything
"you know.." he started. You faced him
"no, i dont"
He smirked, "Y/N, i'm serious"
"doesnt look like it" you said
He closed his eyes, breathed in, and out, then opened his blue eyes to stare into your E/C ones
"Y/N.."
You waited for him to continue
"i- i kind of.. You know"
You shook your head, "Draco, i really dont" you laughed. You saw his face blush
"i like you"
Your smile dropped, you froze, you dont know what to answer
"i like you, and i really hope you like me too. I want to date you, if that's alright?" he asked hesitantly
"Draco, i- i'm-- i'm really sorry." you looked down, not meeting his blue eyes, "i- well, i kind of- uh, like someone" you said and slowly looked up
You saw in his eyes, how his heart broke, and your did aswell, it broke because your bestfriend is broken
"Parker?" he hesitantly asked, yet he still smiled a little. You nodded, he chuckled, though it cracked, "it's all good. He's a good guy. I think he likes you too. Atleast i know i'll leave you in good hands. But tell me if he hurts you, i'll hex his ass, and he'll be sorry" he said sadly
You smiled and hugged him tightly, he hugged you back and patted your back
"thank you, Draco. I hope you find someone better than me. I'm just really your bestfriend. Maybe you should give Pansy a chance." you teased and backed away
He scoffed, "merlin's beard, save me. I would date any other girl, just not Pansy" he said and rolled his eyes, you laugh, "now, go ahead and go to Parker. He's usually in the library at this time" he said and shooed you
You just rolled your eyes and stood up, walking towards the door, "how did you even know?" you asked him
He smirked, "you told me one time, but you were too blabbering to notice"
You just scoffed and went out

Peter sat in the library, reading, 'how to get a girl to like you back'
He has liked you ever since your first years, but he hasnt said anything, since he was a nerd and there was no way you could like him
He has told Ned, his friend, about his feelings for you, and he adviced Peter to just go for it, but Peter still had his doubts
While he was doing that, you creeped up to him silently, and looked at what he's doing
You raised one eyebrow, "who you trying to get to like you?"
He then, immidietly shut the book and turned to face you
"w-what? Ha- uh, yeah, no one. Pfft" he awkwardly fixed his robe
You chuckled and sat infront of him
"really? Then why are you reading, let's see, 'How to get a girl to like you back'?" you said as you read the cover of the book he was reading
He blushed and pushed the book to the side, "i- uh, it's no one, really. It's just a person i like. But i doubt they like me back" he scratched the back of his neck
You smiled bitterly, ignoring the fact that your heart just hurt, knowing he likes someone
"what do you mean you doubt they like you back?" you asked
He looked down shyly
"i mean, look at me, i'm a nerd, i'm a hufflepuff- i'm just everything a girl wont like. Specially the girl that i like- i think she likes Draco Malfoy. I mean, i dont even get a chance against him, he's so handsome, and, perfect, basically" he said
You shook your head, "you know, if i didnt know better, i'd probably say you're gay." you laughed, and he shot his eyes quickly at you
"i'm not-"
"Peter, i'm kidding" you laughed, he sighed in relief, "but seriously, whoever she is, she's stupid. I mean, Draco is handsome, yes, but dude, he's a git! Have you seen the way he's treated Harry, Ron and Hermione? And also, so what if you're a nerd? A Hufflepuff? Just because you're soft, it doesnt mean you're weak. If you ask me, i think it's pretty cute. I think you're cute"
Your eyes widen, realization hitting you on what you just said
Peter's cheeks redden, "you think i'm cute?" he asked, looking everywhere but you
"well, i mean, yeah. You're amazing Pete if only you knew. You are kind, you're funny, you're so geeky, wich i love by the way. And dont act like i dont see how lovingly you treat first years. You're so good with kids! I bet you'll be a great father one day. Oh my god i should stop talking" you slapped your forehead, cringing at the things you just said
Peter laughed, you slowly looked at him, scared that you literally just ruined your friendship with him
"i think you'll be a great mother, then" he said and smiled, staring into your eyes
You blushed, "thanks" you awkwardly said, and silence filled the room for a couple of moments
"Y/N?" he said nervously after a few seconds
"hm?" you hummed, playing with your hand on the table
He reached for it, and held you hand tightly, wich made you look up to him
"i really really like you." he said wich got your eyes widen, his eyes widen aswell, "but if you dont feel the same, it's alright! I mean, Draco is like a literal prince charming and i understand-"
"Peter" you cut him off
"huh? What?" he asked nervously
You tighten your grip to his hand
"i really like you too" you laughed, and he sighed with relief, "but" his eyes widen again, "Draco said that if you hurt me, he wont bother to hex your ass" you smirked
You saw his frightened eyes soften
"i'll never" he answerd and kissed your hand

I mean, dont get me wrong, i love Draco and he's a Slytherin and all that, but like i'm genuinely a Hufflepuff so yeah
Dont get me wrong please! I love all houses! And i respect them. I just wish it was all real and we all can go ti Hogwarts and learn spells and buy our first wands at Ollivander's. But yeah, it's all just a fantasy :(
