The night was misty and chilly. You were working the night shift at Walmart. Usually it was quite slow around midnight. You and one of your older co-workers Maybelline were talking about how you both hated the night time while stalking shelves.
"Miss Maybelline, it's getting a little late don't you think? I don't want you out at this time. There's a lot of weirdos out there." You say as you open a box.
"Chile, I been around longer than you. I can handle myself. You on the other hand need to head home." She smiles and you pout.
"I can take care of myself." You say and she hums.
"Mmhmm, and I can reach the top shelf." She says and you giggle quietly, looking at her short frame.
"You're quite funny Miss May."
You both continue to put things away when the lights start to flicker. You look up and jump when you feel a hand on your arm. Maybelline tells you to stop being paranoid and to relax in the employee lounge while she finished the bottom shelf. You try to deny that you were paranoid but she sends you off anyways.
As you sit in the lounge it was just you in the dim lit room. You feel like you were being watched so you look around but saw no one else. You continue to sit when the feeling made you uncomfortable. You go to leave the room when you hear shifting within the room. You stop moving and turn around but again, no one.
You place your hand in the door knob when the lights go off leaving the room pitch dark. You hear the sound of something tapping in the table before it goes quiet again. The tapping then continued to your right for a few seconds then stopping. It would start on your left but a bit closer.
This was a pattern as the sound got closer until you felt light finger tips brush up your arms. You jump and before you could scream a hand covers your mouth. The person holds you close and sniffs up your neck.
"Ahh (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N), you reek with fear. Do you...fear me?" A voice whispers in your ear and you whimper and nod as his free hand tenderly runs hand up and down your arm.
"You are mine, love. I couldn't wait any longer for you. Every night was the same, watch you work, talk to Maybelline and go home. I finally have you to myself. I will no longer watch you from the shadows. From now on, I will have you tied up in my bedroom. I will watch you eat, and sleep and there is nothing yiu can do about it." He says and you cry as you feel a blade pressed to your neck.
" Who are you?" You asked as he removes his hand.
"Your worst nightmare. "
The nights flicker on and you see yourself in the window with a very handsome face with one eye white. Your breath gets hitched and he smirks.
"This is just the beginning baby" He whispers and with that, he takes you.
