"Wyatt!" Abagail ran as fast as her legs would carry her. She didn't know if she would make it in time but she had to try. He had already slaughtered the rest of her family right in front of her. She just knew Wyatt was next. Her throat burned and her legs were giving in but she kept pushing through the mud filled streets trying desperately to get to his cottage before it was too late.
What felt like an eternity later, she finally reached his door, out of breath, wet from the rain and covered in mud. She was too late, she could feel it. The door was ajar and the house was too quiet. She slowly pushed the door open and stepped inside. Once her eyes adjusted to the dark she screamed in horror at the sight in front if her. Lord Cain had Wyatt by the throat lifting him off the ground. Abigail couldn't believe a man could be so strong, but there were more important things at hand to worry about. Like the fact that Wyatt couldn't breath and was barely struggling in Cains' grasp. She mustered all the energy she had left. She lunged at Cain, grabbing at his hair trying to get him to free Wyatt's throat. All Cain did was smile while still looking at his victim. That's when she saw his inhumanly long canines and froze in shock.
"You will pay for this little Abigail. But your suffering will not stop here. I will ensure that you spend eternity suffering for what you've done!" With that being said he snapped Wyatt's neck letting him drop lifeless to the floor. He stalked towards the shocked Abigail with an evil look in his eyes, she could have sworn they looked red. She didn't know what else to do. She just lost everything important to her in a matter of minutes and now she was seeing something that should not exist stalking toward her looking ready to strike. She gave up and fell to her knees bowing her head. She had nothing left to fight for. This was it.
Just before Cain grabbed her she took one last glance toward her love, the man who was to be her husband, only he was gone. All that lay on the floor were his clothes. Before she could let out a surprised gasp, Cain grabbed her lifting her from the floor, and dug is teeth into her neck. She started to struggle but darkness took over and she collapsed.
