I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off, it was very devastating. I rolled over to the other side of my bed to hit snooze one more time, then I buried myself back into my warm duvet and fell right back asleep.
By the time I woke up again I was already 10 minutes late, so I rushed out of bed. I quickly put on something easy like a slip on dress, which was one of the easiest ways to look like you tried. Then I grabbed a banana, my keys and my backpack then ran out to my car.
I walked into the school and The bell had just rung for second period which I had an open hour for.
"God I could've slept in even longer." I said to myself with my mouth full of banana
Since I had a free period I went to the spot I usually hang out and started some of my work I hadn't finished from last nights homework.
Then I hear someone clear there throat, making me jump a bit. I look up in front of me to see a girl standing looking at me with an annoyed face.
"Can I help you?" I ask her confused
She scoffs "Yea you can help me."
"You need to back off of Ruel."
"Scuse' me who are you?" I ask
"I'm Ruel's ex." She snarls
"So let me ask you, why do you care so much if you're his ex?"
"Well, I think it's sad how he downgraded to you." She said in disgust
"He could have so much better and he's choosing you wow." She laughs as she walks away
What the fuck? Who said Ruel and I were dating? And why does that chick think she can just walk up to me and talk shit? I see why they're broken up.
Anyways, I ignore the conversation I had with Ruel's ex and continued my day like any other. But I kept getting weird looks throughout the day.
Then came c.s. Class, I rushed to my class to avoid getting anymore stares.
Ruel's Pov
I was sitting at the desk India and I shared scrolling on my phone waiting for class to start. Then India walks in the door and my attention goes from my phone to her. I noticed that she was wearing a dress, she usually doesn't dress up much.
I subconsciously watched her as she sat down next to me and put her bag down next to her. She then turned to me and smiled.
"Hey Ruel"
I smiled back "Hey, I love that new dress you bought." (A/n: ;) )
Then the guy behind me spoke up "dude how'd you know it's new?"
I went red immediately, do I really pay attention to her that much?
"Er uhm, I don't I was uh just assuming. It looks new." I stuttered nervously
"Thanks, I kinda just threw it on 'cuz I was late." She chuckled
My cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Why am I so nervous around her all of a sudden?
She looked insanely pretty for being late wow.
"No Ruel stop, you are not doing this shit again." I think to myself.
"So when and where do you wanna meet for the project next?" India asks, snapping me out of my thoughts
"I uH, um-" I begin to stutter before she cuts me off
"Are you ok, you're acting weird." She softly laughs
God even her laugh is pretty-
I clear my throat before speaking "Yea yea sorry I just um, I didn't get enough sleep that's all." I lie
"Oh ok, well you should get better rest. It's a good thing." India says kindly
"Probably yea." I chuckle
"Anyways, we're required to an activity that requires us to work together." She explains
I think about it for a second before I come up with an answer "maybe we could make like cookies or something?" I ask
"Oo that sounds like fun!" She says excitedly like a little kid
I laugh at her "ok great, we can do it at my house on...how 'bout tonight?"
"Sounds good to me." She replies
~that evening~
I was sitting on my bed, scrolling through my phone as I waited for India to get here. Then my sister Sylvie walked into my room.
I turned my head towards her "can I help you?" I ask
"Don't be a prick, mum wanted me to ask you if you wanted to go to the shops with her." Sylvie said standing at my door
"Sorry, but no I'm busy." I replied
She looked at me for a second "with what?"
"I have someone coming over." I shrug
Then the door bell rung signaling India was here.
"That must be her, I'll get it." I say rushing down the stairs as Sylvie follows
"wait you're having a girl over, since when-"
I then cut her off by opening the door revealing India
India gives me a cheeky smile "hi"
"Hey, come in."
All of sudden Sylvie shoves past me "Hi I'm Ruel's sister, nice to finally see that this loser has a girl over." She says embarrassing me
"Shut up Sylvie, didn't mum want your help. Go away." I say annoyed shoving her away
"Fine fine shUsh I'll go with her." Sylvie says before she leaves. But that leaves me and India alone as I'm still blushing furiously
"Sorry about her, she's....unstable." I say sarcastically making India chuckle
"That's fine, my sister's the same way." She says lightheartedly
"Your younger one?" I ask
"No I have an older sister named Olivia." She says as we make our way to the kitchen
"Oh I see, and uh what's the little one's name?"
"Elsie." She smiles
"Aw, she's really cute." I say
"Yea she can be, but she's a little diva that's for sure." She laughs
~time skip~
India's pov
"Ok now we need....eggs." I tell Ruel
"How many?" He asks
"Three." I reply
"Ok all we need now is flour." I ask turning around to look for it and before I fully turn around, Ruel had thrown flour at me
"Oh you little shit." I glare at him as he laughs at himself
"Oops." He says sarcastically
When he's not looking I grab flour from the bin and throw it at him as pay back.
"Oops." I mimic him
"Damn ok I see how it is girl." He smirks before running towards the bowl of cookie dough. Then he stuck his fingers in the bowl and scooped out cookie dough and ate it
"Bitch-" he cuts me off my chucking dough at my face
"I thought you would want some." He smiles
"Mmm yea thanks." I say sarcastically then wipe it off my face into my mouth
Ruel then take another big scoop and eats it.
"Wait don't eat all of it we still need to bake them." I say before snatching the bowl out of his hands making him pout
"They're better that way though." He mutters
"You're gonna get sick, it's not worth it." I state
"I disagree. It's very much worth it." He says
"No shush we're baking them." I say putting them into the oven
While we're waiting for the cookies to be done we decided to watch a movie after we cleaned up.
"So what should we watch?" Ruel asked as he plopped down next to me on the couch
"Honestly I don't care as long it's not a horror movie cuz fuck that I'm not sleeping alone after that." I say
"Well I mean you could sleep with me." He teased making me hardcore blush
I nudged him "ruEl"
"JoKesssss anyways, ummmm do you like marvel?" He asks
"is that really a question?" I scoff
"So yes?" He questions me again
"Of fucking course." I roll my eyes
"Ok well then what about spider man?"
"Sold." I reply
