Next morning I found myself wrapped around Rey. He was supposed to come tomorrow night from his week long meeting in Bangalore . But here he was, wrapped in sheets, cuddling with me.
His one hand was around my waist and another was under his head. I slowly turned around without waking him up and wrapped my arm around him.
This was the first time I was seeing him so closely.
He had two moles on his face. One just below his hairline on the left side and another near his lower lip.
His Eyebrows and lashes are so thick that I am envious of him. I traced his cheekbones and then the lips.
It's like god has taken a day off to sculpt his face.
The lightly trimmed beard was just the plus to it.
Disturbed by my actions, he scrunched his nose, pulled me towards himself, leaving no air between us and hid his face in my
Neck.
We were glued together and he was rubbing his nose against my neck like a little kid does.
I took in a sharp breath.
Slowly he opened his eyes and watched me with a small smile.
"weren't you supposed to come tomorrow night? " I asked.
"I couldn't be far from you that long , so I finished my work and came back at midnight ."
Oh man, my heart will surely burst if he keeps on saying such things.
I smiled at him and leaned his face towards mine.
I slightly brushed my lips to his cheeks, and then firmly pressed a kiss on his cheeks,his nose and then his forehead.
" I missed you. " I said grinning.
He nudged his nose in my cheek, lightly pecking them.
"I missed you too. So much" he said softly.
Our foreheads joined.
It felt so blissful to be here, wrapped in his arms. I was so much at peace and prayed to the almighty to wake up like this every morning till the day I literally rested in peace.
" Let's get up now. As much as I like it, we can't be late anymore. " I yawned. Very unladylike. But who cares.
He blushed a little at my comment and then laughed at me.
"You know, maybeee, we should go out tonight. Just you and me. It's been long since we went out. "
He said not meeting my gaze. A light pink hue appeared on hjs cheeks once again. Who in the world gets shy by asking their better half out
"Like a date? " I asked him , raising an eyebrow.
" Yes yes. Like a date." He said excitedly "I.. I mean that is if you want. You can invite Aarushi and Aarav if you want. " He said it in a small voice.
"Well, Mr. Gupta, you have earned yourself a date. Be ready by 7:30 ."
He gave me a full fledged smile.
" Now, get dressed. " I said, rushing towards the bathroom.
"Well, I don't plan on going to the office today. I have a date to prepare for. You have to go alone today. "
"Alright then." I went into the washroom to get a quick shower and got dressed.
"Goodbye. See you tonight. "
I quickly kissed his cheeks and went towards my work place.
We were in a meeting, discussing about our new project.
Mr. Sachdeva, the project manager, was asking our opinions on the matter as usual.
But, today it seemed as if my mind was somewhere else.
I was so excited to see what Reyansh had planned for today.
Suddenly I heard a distinct voice calling my name.
"Arya, what do you think about this? Do you think it'll be beneficial for us to work on it?"
Mr Sachdeva asked as all heads turned towards my direction.
Not knowing what else to say, i said" Ah.. Mr. Sachdeva, I will inform you after deeply going through the matter. Such big decision require a little bit time to process. "
I said confidently. But this facade was noticed by my one and only best friend Aarushi. She raised an eyebrow telling me we'll discuss this later.
"Alright, the meeting will then resume next week after the Silver jubilee party on Friday with Mrs. Gupta's decision. Till then if anyone gets a better idea for the project, he/she can contact me."
He said, ending the meeting.
I quickly went in my cabin followed by Aarushi.
"What the hell happened to you, Arya. Where were you lost? " she asked me.
"Uhh.. I'm just a little bit distracted. Nothing else. "
I said in a flurried sort of tone.
"Is this distraction related to someone whose name starts with R and ends with H.? " she teased.
" Ugh.. Fine. It had to with him. It is as if now my whole world revolves around him. I can't make any decisions without considering his opinions. It all feels like a dream. And I don't want to wake up. " I sighed.
She smiled at me, not the teasing one, but a genuine one.
"You love him, don't you. "
"I don't know, it's all new feeling . And I like totally like it, that you have someone waiting for you at home. All those cheesy love songs that I totally despised earlier have become so fucking relatable. I didn't care about my looks earlier and now I would always have thoughts like how would he find me in this piece of clothing.
I really don't want to lose this feeling but if he left me, I won't be able to bear it. It'll crush my heart to lose another important person of my life. And that's what I am sacred off. You get what I want to say.? "
I sighed and asked her after venting out all my inner turmoil to her.
"Oh, Arya, you shouldn't be scared. Have you literally seen the way his eyes lighten up when you're talked about. They are filled with love and care for you.
He is the best man for you. " She smiled.
"Yes, yes he is... "
With his thoughts in my mind, I passed the whole day.
Excited to see what he had planned for tonight, I entered in my car went towards my home...
