Day 3 Match 1
"This will be an official 2 on 2 tag battle between the pairs Trevor & Tierno VS Ulysses and Vincent. All trainers are only allowed to use 1 Pokemon each with no substitutions and the battle will be over when all of either pair's Pokemon are unable to battle. Can both sides please send out their Pokemon?" requested the referee.
"Aerodactyl, let's go," said Trevor as the Fossil Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.
"Ludicolo, I'm counting on you," said Tierno as the Carefree Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.
"Jynx, I choose you," said Ulysses as the Human Shape Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.
"Parasect, go," said Vincent as the Mushroom Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.
"Battle begin," said the referee.
"Jynx, start off with Nasty Plot," ordered Ulysses as the Human Shape Pokemon created 3 animated questions, sharply raising its special attack.
"Parasect, use Swords Dance," said Vincent as the Mushroom Pokemon created a circle of dancing swords, sharply boosting its attack.
"Aerodactyl, use Tailwind," said Trevor as the Fossil Pokemon whipped up a powerful gust of wind on its side of the battlefield, doubling the speed of itself and Ludicolo.
"Ludicolo, use Rain Dance," commanded Tierno as the Carefree Pokemon summoned several dark clouds above the battlefield, which started pouring rain seconds later.
"Use Ice Beam on Aerodactyl," said Ulysses as Jynx opened its mouth and fired a powerful beam of Ice at Aerodactyl.
"Dodge it and use Rock Slide," said Trevor as Aerodactyl deftly dodged the attack and raised both of its claws, causing orange rings of energy to appear and turn into rocks, aiming at both Jynx and Parasect, scoring direct hits and deal damage on both of them.
"Use Leech Life on Ludicolo," commanded Vincent, but Parasect could not move due to flinching from Rock Slide.
"Now's our chance, use Ice Beam on Parasect," said Tierno as Ludicolo opened its mouth and fired a powerful beam of ice towards Parasect, earning a direct hit due to the latter flinching and unable to move from Rock Slide, eventually fainting on the process.
"Parasect is unable to battle," said the referee.
"Return, Parasect," said Vincent as the Mushroom Pokemon was recalled.
"Jynx, use Ice Beam on Aerodactyl once more," ordered Ulysses as the Human Shape Pokemon fired another powerful beam of ice towards the Fossil Pokemon.
"Block the Ice Beam with Hydro Pump," said Tierno as Ludicolo fired a powerful jet of water towards the incoming Ice Beam. However, due to being sharply boosted by Nasty Plot, the Ice Beam managed to freeze the Hydro Pump and continuing aiming towards Aerodactyl."
"Cut through with Iron Head," ordered Trevor as Aerodactyl's head glowed silvery-white and managed to break through the powered up Ice Beam while taking heavy damage. Eventually, Aerodactyl's Iron Head managed to score a direct hit on Jynx and inflict damage.
A few seconds later, both Aerodactyl and Jynx had collapsed.
"Both Aerodactyl and Jynx are unable to battle. Due to Ludicolo still standing, the winners of this match are Trevor and Tierno," declared the referee.
"Guess that Hydro Pump didn't help much when I tried to block the Ice Beam," said Tierno while recalling Ludicolo.
"Oh well. Ludicolo did a great job taking down Parasect, who would have been a big threat to it," said Trevor as he returned Aerodactyl back into its PokeBall.
"Maybe so, but that was only because your Rock Slide helped flinch it beforehand, which gave me a chance to finish it off," said Tierno.
"That's true. Either way, we managed to pull it off and win. That's what matters the most," said Trevor.
"Agreed," said Tierno.
Day 3 Match 3
"This will be an official 2 on 2 tag battle between the pairs Max & Bonnie VS Wyatt and Xander. All trainers are only allowed to use 1 Pokemon each with no substitutions and the battle will be over when all of either pair's Pokemon are unable to battle. Can both sides please send out their Pokemon?" requested the referee.
"Go Mightyena," said Max as the Bite Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.
"Florges, let's win this," said Bonnie as the Garden Pokemon was sent into the battlefield.
"Drifblim, let's go," said Wyatt as the Blimp Pokemon appeared from its PokeBall into the battlefield
"Dugtrio, go," said Xander as the Mole Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.
"Battle begin," said the referee.
"Dugtrio, use Stone Edge on Mightyena," ordered Xander as the Mole Pokemon slammed itself on the floor, causing several sharp stones to protrude from the surface of the ground and head towards Mightyena.
"Drifblim, use Shadow Ball on Florges," said Wyatt as the Blimp Pokemon fired a shadow ball towards the opposing Garden Pokemon.
"Destroy the stones with Iron Tail," said Max as Mightyena's tail glowed silvery-white and efficiently negated the opposing Stone Edge. "Now hit Dugtrio," said Max after the stones were eliminated, and the Bite Pokemon managed to score a direct hit on the Mole Pokemon and inflict damage.
"Use Light Screen," commanded Bonnie as Florges created a 3D yellow screen which surrounded Mightyena and itself, temporarily reducing the damage done by special attacks while taking some damage from Shadow Ball.
"Not bad," Xander thought to himself. "Use Aerial Ace on Florges," he said as Dugtrio jumped into the air and did a somersault then diving towards the Garden Pokemon.
"Use Thunderbolt on Mightyena," ordered Wyatt as the Blimp Pokemon fired a powerful bolt of electricity towards the Bite Pokemon.
"Dodge and use Crunch on Drifblim," said Max as Mightyena managed to evade the attack and land a hit on Drifblim after its fangs glowed white, causing heavy damage.
"Wait for it," Bonnie thought to herself as Dugtrio was about to get in close quarters with Florges. "Now use Energy Ball on Dugtrio," she said as the Garden Pokemon fired a green ball of energy at the Mole Pokemon, scoring a direct hit and inflict a lot of damage.
"Wow, Max and Bonnie are doing really well, so proud of them," said Ash.
May, who was on the other side of the spectating side from Ash and his loyal friends, just watched the battle with little interest, despite her younger brother being one of the battlers of the current match.
"Something on your mind May?" asked Misty.
"Oh nothing. My younger brother and Bonnie may appear to be winning this match at the moment, but believe me, if I ever end up facing against him in one of the later matches, I'll be sure to eliminate him as well as making him regret for turning his back against me," replied May in contempt.
"Don't worry, we have Guzma and the others on our side," said Drew.
"Yeah, Ash and his friends are still little kids after all," said Iris in a snide manner.
"Trust me, Ketchup and his friends' glory will be short lived when we defeat them," said Calem.
"And if one of us manages to defeat Ash, it means we have the chance of rightfully taking over him as Champion of Alola," said Kenny.
"As well as making him relearn the basics of Pokemon training and battling," concluded Trip.
"Use Earthquake," ordered Xander as Dugtrio created a powerful tremor that shook the entire battlefield, inflicting damage on both Mightyena and Florges.
"Speed things up with Calm Mind," said Wyatt as Drifblim closed its eyes and its body began to glow white, increasing its special attack and special defense.
"Use Scary Face on Drifblim," commanded Max as Mightyena created a scary face that sharply reduced Drifblim's speed.
"Finish Dugtrio off with one more shot of Energy Ball," said Bonnie as Florges fired another green ball of energy at Dugtrio after taking damage from Earthquake, earning a direct hit on the Mole Pokemon and taking it out of action.
"Dugtrio is unable to battle," said the referee.
"Return, Dugtrio," said Xander as the Mole Pokemon was recalled.
"Use Shadow Ball on Florges," ordered Wyatt as Drifblim fired a Shadow Ball towards Florges, scoring a direct hit on the Garden Pokemon and inflict damage.
"Conclude this by using Crunch on Drifblim," commanded Max as Mightyena charged towards the Blimp Pokemon while its fangs glowed white.
"Dodge it," said Wyatt, but due to being affected by Scary Face, Drifblim could not dodge the attack and was directly hit, fainting a short moment later.
"Drifblim is unable to battle, Mightyena and Florges wins. Therefore the winner of this match is Max and Bonnie," said the referee.
"Impressive, very impressive," said Alain.
"They may be younger trainers, but definitely no pushovers," commented Tobias.
"Agreed, never underestimate them," said Virgil.
"Especially if they know your battling style, since they can take advantage of it," said Cameron.
Day 3, Match 4
"This will be an official 2 on 2 tag battle between the pairs Drew & Kenny VS Yuri and Zach. All trainers are only allowed to use 1 Pokemon each with no substitutions and the battle will be over when all of either pair's Pokemon are unable to battle. Can both sides please send out their Pokemon?" requested the referee.
"Let's battle, Masquerain," said Drew as the Eyeball Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.
"Go Machamp," said Kenny as the Superpower Pokemon appeared from its PokeBall.
"Gloom, let's win this," said Yuri as the Weed Pokemon was taken into the battlefield.
"Mothim, I'm counting on you," said Zach as the Moth Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.
As the four contestants sent out their Pokemon, Ash, Brock and Gary had noticed that Dawn's expression looked very grim.
"Dawn, are you okay? Something seems to be bothering you," said Brock.
"Oh, it's just this negative feeling of watching my former childhood friend battling," replied Dawn.
"Former childhood friend? I'm assuming that means you quit being friends with him then?" asked Gary.
"That's right, after he joined the traitors and betrayed Ash," replied Dawn who looked at Ash while having a slight blush on her cheeks.
"Let's see how Drew and Kenny will fare in this battle," said Brock.
"Don't underestimate them. Both did beat me in a battle individually a few years ago," advised Ash.
"But then you avenged your loss by defeating both of them and the other traitors before the tournament started, so that makes you even with them," said Dawn.
"Good point," replied Ash.
"Battle begin," said the referee.
"Mothim, use Quiver Dance," said Zach as the Moth Pokemon began dancing in circles while its body glowed white, increasing its speed, special attack and special defense.
"Gloom, use Sunny Day," ordered Yuri as the Weed Pokemon fired a white beam of energy towards the sky, causing the battlefield to become covered with harsh sunlight.
"Machamp, use Stone Edge on Mothim," said Kenny as the Superpower Pokemon slammed 2 of its hands on the floor, causing several sharp stones to protrude from the ground and aim towards the Moth Pokemon, scoring a direct hit and deal heavy damage.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Mothim gets knocked out from that Stone Edge attack," said Conway.
"Masquerain, use Quiver Dance too," said Drew as the Eyeball Pokemon did the exact same actions as Mothim, increasing its speed, special attack and special attack.
"Use Dazzling Gleam," ordered Yuri as Gloom fired a white beam of light at both Machamp and Masquerain, scoring a direct hit on the both Pokemon and deal heavy damage on the Superpower Pokemon.
"Hit Gloom with Air Slash," said Drew as Masquerain fired several sharp slashes of air at the Weed Pokemon, also earning a direct hit and immediately knocking it out of action.
"Gloom is unable to battle," said the referee.
"Return, Gloom," said Yuri as the Weed Pokemon was recalled.
"Aim your Air Slash on Machamp," commanded Xander as Mothim flapped its wings and created multiple sharp slashes of air on the Superpower Pokemon and causing it to faint.
"Machamp is unable to battle," said the referee.
"Impressive how Mothim managed to still stand up even after being directly hit by Stone Edge," commented Paul.
"And it got its revenge by knocking Machamp out of action," said Virgil.
"With the double knockout having Gloom and Machamp out of action, that leaves Masquerain and Mothim remaining," said Brock.
"Since both Pokemon share the same multi-type, I'm curious to see how this battle will end," said Lucy.
"Well Masquerain has the advantage since it has taken less damage," said Brock.
"That's true," added Serena.
"Use Electroweb," said Xander as Mothim fired a spider web charged with electricity towards Masquerain.
"Dodge it and finish it off with one more hit of Air Slash," ordered Drew as Masquerain managed to dodge the Electroweb thanks to Quiver Dance and fired a barrage of sharp slashes of air at Mothim and knocking it out.
"Mothim is unable. Masquerain wins. Therefore the winner of this match is Drew and Kenny," declared the referee.
"As expected, they have gotten stronger than before," said Ash.
"Doesn't stop us from winning if we ever end up facing them," said Alain.
